Brilliant service from Kyle, will definitely use them again. Highly recommend

Carpet choice was excellent. Carpet fitters excellent on time and done good job. Only gripe is that the sales let me down buy not informing about removing old carpet and underlay for which I had to pay extra to fitters . The fitters need paying separately when the job is done.

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding customer service I received following a recent issue with a carpet fitting.

After experiencing a poor fitting and receiving the wrong carpet from the subcontracted fitters, I raised a complaint with United Carpets. I was promptly contacted by Karl, who originally assisted me during my purchase. Karl was extremely apologetic and assured me that he would personally see to it that the issue was resolved to my satisfaction.

He invited me and my wife to visit the Melton Road branch in Leicester to choose a replacement carpet of our choice, free of charge. During our visit, Karl provided excellent service and even gave us a sample of the selected carpet to ensure consistency upon delivery.

Shortly after, a staff member named Imtiaz came to our home to take accurate measurements of the stairs and landing. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. He informed us that he would pass the measurements to Karl, who then confirmed the order with us within the hour. Karl also kept us regularly updated throughout the process and informed us that the carpet would arrive within two weeks.

Once the carpet arrived, Karl arranged the installation on a date and time convenient for us. The new fitting team from United Carpets did a fantastic job—they removed the old carpet, fitted the new one precisely, and left our home clean and tidy.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to United Carpets for resolving this matter swiftly and professionally. A special thank you goes to Karl, Imtiaz, and the fitting team for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Their commitment to customer satisfaction truly made a difference.

Overall a good job done and my mum was happy. Two areas that could have been better: in one place the flooring wasn’t cut flush with the skirting and I had to ask the fitter to apply sealant to mask the finish. Also, we paid for furniture moving, but only one fitter came so I had help him to move the fridge.

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with United Carpet and their fitter.

We initially went to purchase carpet for our landing and staircase. A staff member named Karl helped us choose a carpet and assured us he knew exactly how much we’d need for a semi-detached house, even though I insisted he come to measure the space properly. He refused, saying he was familiar with the layout and measurements.

We trusted his judgment and went ahead with the purchase. The fitting was scheduled for Saturday, June 7th. We asked if the fitter could come in the afternoon, but Karl said he only worked mornings and would arrive at 10am. We woke up early to remove the old carpet, only for the fitter to show up at 12:30pm—over two hours late.

The job took 4–5 hours, and by the time he reached the last step, he ran out of carpet. The fitter called Karl, who told him to pick up more carpet and return later. Instead, the fitter said he couldn’t finish that day and left—leaving a mess behind for us to clean.

He returned on Wednesday, June 11th, to finish the job, but once again left nails and old door strips on the landing. No care was taken to clean up, and overall the service was unprofessional and careless.

This entire process was full of poor communication, bad planning, and no respect for our time or home. I would not recommend United Carpet or their fitter to anyone.

I have recently had my flooring replaced at home with United Carpets Melton Road. It was a great experience from start to finish. In particular Imtiaz was exceptional. He made us feel comfortable from the start and came to measure all the flooring the next day. He removed our old flooring and did so with care, he also checked that the fitting of the laminates and vinyls was done well. The flooring was ordered and fitted within 2 weeks which was a great service. Also the whole team at Melton Road was very helpful and welcoming and helped us choose the correct carpets, laminates, vinyls and underlay. In addition I needed my floorboards repaired prior to the flooring being replaced. Imtiaz recommended a carpenter (Bashkim) who was absolutely brilliant. He repaired all of my floorboards and stairs and worked nonstop with the highest quality of work to ensure it was completed prior to the flooring being fitted. I would highly recommend United Carpets and both Imtiaz and Bashkim as i have been very pleased with my experience.

When anyone think about Carpet in leicester must visit United Carpet Melton Road. Impressive conversation with expert about carpet and fitting. Mr. Munaf is good in Gujarati and Hindi so my Grand mum and my in laws are prefer to deal with him only his speech is so good with lots of experience with good behaviour and quality of carpet is really good in United Carpet.

When i was renovating my house I went to united carpets for a quote and i was blown away by the service of Omar and his team. They explained all the different styles of carpets and were very helpful in answering so many of questions! The quality of the work carried out is 5 star and at great affordable prices! Will definitely come back in the future if i get my house done again!

Very helpful in the shop. They managed to get me an earlier slot once I’d made my appointment. Everything went well, the organising was good. They explained everything to me. Carpet fitter was prompt and very efficient.

Excellent staff who recognise and prioritise regular customers. Fitter Alan based out of Melton road very quickly available and extremely good.

When we went for carpet hunting we had such a good experience at united carpets and selected our whole home carpets and laminate and had a good service. When it came to fitting them in we had the most rubbish experience. We were told that carpets needs to be disposed off by ourselves which we agreed to but they wanted all rooms carpets to be removed and taken out by ourselves too which we were shocked to hear since we paid £3,000 in total for this. Anyway my husband quickly taken it out on request and when the fitter came he said the floor need to be swept up from any dust on the floors for him to work otherwise it will be extra charge just for sweeping the floors. I rang united carpets to complain that why haven’t I been informed about all this before and having paid this much why isn’t this service included. The guy from united carpets was soooo rude and said this is what it is and that cleaning is not included in the invoice. We were unaware of this and had such a appalling experience. I then get a call saying laminator will not be available until next week where we had agreed same day or next day for laminate. Then he said his paperworks shows it is next week, trying to say what I had arranged was not true and that I was lying. I felt very disrespected with this whole experience and honestly I would have never bought the carpets from there if I knew this is how my experience would turn out. I’d rather pay more for a good, informative and kind service. Really do not recommend this place at all.

I bought a laminated floor from this place however I found the same product at another store for 1/4 of the price.

Kyle provided excellent customer service and also tailored an unusual request for carpet fitting - which was two different carpets( black and pink) in one room fitted diagonal. The outcome to extreme great standards. If I could add a photo I would but such an option is unavailable but my display picture is the evidence
