Carpet is nice
Carpet is nice, fitted well but did not get the door bars fitted left them for me to do, also no additional mat and rubber door runner for the front door which was agreed.

Friendly service and very professional fitted my carpet really well and my vinyl floor covering. Sorted out another expert to trim my doors within minutes of finishing the floor coverings. Put my main furniture back in place. Nothing was too much trouble.

The carpets are nice it is the fitting that is very poor carpet cut short in places and has already started to ruck up in the hall could not recommend using them again

The return of the carpet fitters
The actual shopping experience was excellent, friendly staff and lots of help. The fitting was far from good, although an appointment was made for the fitter to come back to rectify it.
Shame he didn't turn up after we'd waited all day, another appointment was made and eventually a good job was done, and we will return to United carpets and beds.

disgusting had futst carpet replaced twice unprofessional fitters marked all paintwork had final one ripped up and took back went with another company would never recommend United also when got money back they never gave me fitting money even though they sent cowboy fitters disgusting

Awful experience
Awful experience.
The fitters knocked off a light switch off the wall including the plaster and knocked off all the electrics.
Then lied that the property had no electrics so that's why they knocked it off the wall - when the house obviously has electrics. After this they attempted to fix the wall and ended up painting the patch in a completely different colour. Are they colourblind?
No compensation - manager refused to even communicate to anyone higher.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review regarding your experience with our Melton Road store.
Firstly, we can only apologise again that the fitter did cause some damage to your light fitting. It is very uncommon for accidental damage is caused when fitting flooring, however on the rare occasion that this does happen we pride ourselves on doing everything we can to rectify the issue.
In this instance, we spoke with you the same day to arrange to repair the damage. Within 24 hours of the damage occurring we sent a decorator out to repair the wall. We asked you which make and colour of paint we needed to match the wall and bought the exact shade and brand of paint you requested. The next day the decorator returned and used this paint to repaint the area affected, at no cost to you.
After this, you contact the store to let them know that you had supplied the wrong make and colour of paint required, and then requested that the store buy a second tin of paint to correct this error. At this stage, we stated that as we had already purchased the paint you had requested we would not be able to make a second purchase, but as a gesture of good will we would send our decorator back out to repaint the area if you purchased the replacement paint yourself.
With regards to compensation, the store did also mention that your order had already been significantly discounted.
Apologies again for any frustration that this has caused you, however, we do feel that the steps we have already taken to resolve this would go some way to alleviate this frustration.
