Jury out at the mo. Bought it as a throw over, but quite clearly would be best if it were attached to a fixed rail. Having a rail fitted now, but is an unexpected expense. The tent part of the aw... See more

Repair service is dreadful
I have used vango for decades with no problem. Purchased one of Vango's largest, most expensive tents. It is amazing to camp in. Minor niggles with frayed cotton on some seams. Major issue is with how the side pod attaches, and the zip bottom being plastic. This broke. Sent tent to vango for repair (they were very helpful). Tent came back with a frankly shit but useable repair, but the zipper itself fitted upside down, so was unusable. Oh, and theyd dismantled the airbeams, and hadn't put them back together. Sent back, came back again a little better and useable, but still frankly a bodge of a repair on over £2000 worth of tent. That's 3 months of packing, waiting for couriers (and helping them load a massive heavy tent as they don't send the right people or equipment), unpacking, inflating to check, repacking, resending etc etc. I love vangos tents, but their repair service is absolutely shocking.
Very disappointed with the Vango Faro 3…
Very disappointed with the Vango Faro 3 inflatable tent . I looked for a sewn in groundsheet because of draught , insects and the fact I have an escapee dog . It took its time to come so unfortunately I was unable to check it out before having to go away for a week and use it . Imagine my dismay to find HUGE gaps under each of the ‘doors’ .. no cops at all , so during a particularly windy day the both flap around … funnily enough the opening on the side of the van has a zip to close it at the bottom, go figure ! My dog had to be tethered at all times and bugs , insects and any other creature that may have fancied a morsel of food from the tent had an open door to get in . Apparently Vango have done this with all new tents so I would definitely avoid at all costs ! Otherwise the tent is a good one, such a shame but looking online , many have had the same problem. I have remedied it by fixing sticky velcros , but I guess you could get a tent fixer to put in a zip … either way , you shouldn’t have to do this with a new, very expensive tent !
Great child’s sleeping bag
Our latest purchase is a Stellar Junior sleeping bag, this bag is really warm and very good quality!
F10 Helium UL 2 Great for Hiking an Bike Packing
I purchased a Vango F10 Helium UL 2 in March this year and after a summer of hiking and bike packing I can confirm it did great service. It was easy to pitch, pack and was light.
Products don't last
I wouldn't buy anything else from Vango after having bought a Vango Comfort Double 10cm Self-Inflating Mat 3 years ago. We've used the mattress once or twice a year, so no more than 6 times.
When we used it this summer, I noticed it wasn't holding any air so when I got home I went about identifying where the leak was in the hope I could fix it. Unfortunately air is leaking from all around BOTH valves. This suggests a fundamental design/manufacturing flaw.
I presented evidence to Vango and asked how they would resolve it. I waited 16 days with no response so I chased and was then told, they wouldn't replace it as it was out of the 2 year warranty.
I've always used a lot of Vango equipment, including our tent which gave up after 12 years this year but I won't purchase another Vango product for 2 reasons:
1 - their products are built like cheap equipment but charged at a more premium price based on their reputation
2 - their customer service was slow and demonstrated no understanding or willingness to own up to sub-standard products
Don´t buy.
Don´t buy.
Our last Airawning form Dometic lasted 15 years... Then we bought a Vango Riviero 330, for 3.400.- euro - it lasted 3 (weeks 2 x 1 1/2 week), the a seam broke and the air went out. No warrenty due to the tent being just two years. Wanted to buy a replacement airbeam. But they dont send outside the UK. - So it cant be fixed. No one sell it in the EU. Buyer be ware only for UK use !!!!
quick and excellent support
Hose on air beam pump failed. I contacted Vango support A replacement hose was sent out. I really appreciated the quick and excellent support.
Vango versos
Vango versos: triple lined doors allow air flow, window and blackout. Weather proof and cool in the heat. Rigid frame with extensive if cheap guide rope and pegging points.
100 nights now in my versos in all weather including torrential rain and gale force gusts. Bought new with faulty porch tube. Instructions to replace unclear with no pictorial instructions. Pump supplied broke almost immediately. Buy an electric one! Makes it simple for one person to erect. Guide ropes are cheap. For the price they should be straps. They wear in but still need constant tightening.
Peg it too taught you will not be able to zip up doors. They seem to progressively shrink just when you think the zips are running freely.
The drive away awning part flaps interminably in the wind no matter how you adjust it. This may be true of all makes though. It does have straps as well though you can take over the vehicle.
Don't bother trying to get it back in the supplied bag.
If the main beam needs replacing you will need to return it to the supplier in Glasgow.
The porch is a wind trap if you are facing south and the prevailing wind is westerly. Disconcerting in strong winds.
Despite all this I love it. An incredible amount of tent for a thousand pounds. The drive away awning section seems to disproportionately add to the cost.
Last point, I understood you could remove everything ie doors to turn it into a gazebo. You can't. The porch is fixed and the doors don't become completely detached.
Poor quality tent not fit for purpose and shockingly poor customer service!
Would love to give ZERO stars but it’s not possible. Bought a Vango air lux from a
friend - 20/25mph winds and the tent quite literally tore apart and left a young family with their holiday ruined after 2 days. This is a young farming family who are able to take ONE holiday a year for a week and it’s been ruined leaving a 5y old boy inconsolable. Vango do not want to know and couldn’t care less. Do yourselves a favour - don’t buy this brand - not fit for purpose.
Top notch after sales.
I had a defect in an air beam.
I was directed to go outdoors who fobbed me off. I went back to Vango who sent me a replacement beam next day.
I love the 2 year warranty and I am blown away by the customer care.
Buy with confidence.
Very disappointed with Vango warranty
I sent my Faros Airbeam awning back as it had torn near the foot of the air chamber after less than a year. After numerous calls to the retailer Charlies and AMG group who manage Vango's warranty scheme, I discovered my request for repair / replacement had been refused although no-one could tell me why. They then informed me that I would have to pay £15 for postage to have the tent returned to us. Eventually they agreed to waive the fee for postage but I again had to make numerous phone calls to organise getting my awning in time for a holiday. I have bought an inferior product at a high price from a company that is trading on a reputation for quality and durability that it no longer deserves. Beware!
First cross Europe trip with a Vango…
First cross Europe trip with a Vango Harris 350 TC.
First the tent is fab it's roomy comfy easy to put up.
Having owned everything from force 10 to various Vango base camp tents I don't think they make the tents with the care and quality they used to. First a strap broke thankfully in a place it wasn't causing much issues.
Got home airbeam pump non return valve was stuck. So struggled to pump up the beams.
Just feels a little lacking in quality for a 1000 euro tent.
We bought a Vakala awning 2 years ago
We bought a Vakala awning 2 years ago. During our last outing last year one of the air bags burst 2 days before leaving the site. I bought a new air bag and fitted it, all was well for our holiday in April. We went away for 10 nights at the end of June, beginning of July. Before departing I bought the Vango rechargeable air pump. Arriving on site we started to put the awning up. The pump was great though I set it to a lower pressure than stated due to the hot weather. Inflated the 3rd airbag, bang another puncture. Being on site for 10 nights we did not want to be without an awning so went to a nearby supplier and bought a pole awning. Won't buy air again.
Vango continues to set the standard with its outstanding products.
A couple of weeks ago I purchased the AirBeam Windbreak - 5 Panel - Elements ProShield
I had read reviews, visited camping stores in local area to see if I could find one erected, to no avail, however what it did prove was the other offers on the market were not as sturdy and many lacked the beam along the floor. I took the plunge and last week we used it, it was a strong robust addition to our setup, the wind was pretty gust the first few days but it stood strong, the dogs couldn't knock it over or clgetunder it, did the job perfect, the only improvement I'd suggest is a figure 8 connector to extent it with the single modules like a door and a way to connect to awning. Thanks Vango, yet again a brand who continues to deliver the best products
Fast delivery
Fast delivery, well packaged.used the tent on a 2 week trip through Europe, it performed well. We were in a different campsite each night and the tent went up and down very easily. Can't fault it.
A small & lightweight tent
A small & lightweight tent, about 800 grams.
I'm 6 foot tall & I fitted inside no problem. I was able sit inside the tent, crouched and cook outside.
The foot & head ends are low, but did not give me a problem.
Easy to erect, in the 2nd go, once the inner was attached to the outer.
Beta xl350 - good tent build, but lacks a few must have features
I've always consider vango tents to be sturdy, well built tents that last many seasons, but my last purchase has left me wanting. I recently purchased the Beta xl350 as an upgrade from my old, very well used Omega 350. I wanted the extra headroom in the front area. The outer material build is very sturdy, but things go down hill in the bedroom department which i feel lacks some fundamental features. There's now only a singular zipper on the bedroom door so you have to open the full door to enter/vent the tent. The midge net on the bedroom door is also no longer present meaning the bedroom only has 2 small midge vents at the rear which are offset from the central rear vent on the outer shell. This means, things heat up fast in the blacked out bedroom to the point you have to open the bedroom zipper from floor level and let all the bugs in to get any form of draught through the bedroom. I'm now having to retro fit a midge net like that on the omega to make this tent usable in warmer climates.
Whilst the blackout interior is useful for those that don't want waking up with the sun, it's actually that dark in full sun that you need a headtorch to find things inside the bedroom area of the tent. I'll be doing some retrofit changes to my tent to make it usable long term. I didn't expect to need to spend extra time and money on creating a basic midge net requirement for the bedroom area. For £200 it was a good price, and perhaps I just expected more of the features I've been accustomed too from vango.
Low quality tubes
Ok 3 may be low vango Balletto 390 pro shield only been up 5 times and the seam has burst find this out rages and at a price of £70 to replace.
I have upgraded to 5 star from 3 star this is because it’s a Vango review and they sorted our issue straight away. Still believe the tubes are cheap but the service was second to none
Vango high quality products and service.
Replaced Vango 300 air beam awning for the Pro-shield 380. Purchased with confidence as the 300 after 6 years is still going strong, just needed extra space.
The 380 is brilliant! High quality material, attention to detail in every single aspect from roof lining to the zip out panels that create so many layout options. Set up completely in 20 minutes so easy with single point inflation. I also purchased the mesh front panels which have now been tested in very warm weather proving to be a wise and worthwhile investment. Overall Vango products have proven to be high quality and value for money. All items are despatched quickly and very well packed. I personally Highly recommend Vango.
