Venere.com 

I made reservation thru Venere.com to hotel Cassone in Malcesine one week prior to arrival, I received confirmation email from Venere, they had my credit card guarantee. But when we came to the hotel, they told us there is no reservation with my name and they don't have any room available for us! I spent 20 minutes on the phone with a woman on customer service on Venere (absolutely unable to help us, but at least she repeated there won't be any cancel fees of course), then 2 hours desperately driving around Lago di Garda with my two kids to find a new accommodation (in high season on Saturday, you can imagine), which we very fortunatelly found. When I came back to my office on Monday and check my bank account, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. They charged me 100% cancel fee for not arriving to the hotel!

I highly reccomend you to stay away from Venere.com.

I booked a room for a friend and had a very good experience.
My creditcard was debited the day after my booking was made (which was ok, as the booking was marked as a rate that has to be paid immediately), the total amount was correct and the homepage even included the tourism tax that has to be paid upon check out, so no tricks.
Even if the booking was last minute I was very satisfied with the process.

They have charged my credit card $621.36 CAD.
My understanding is if I get confirmation it should not be changed

...Charged twice, £1000 at time of booking (Venere) and £1000 at checkin (5* hotel), no choice or we would have ended up on the street stressed and miserable
Then took forever to get one of the double charges back, had to threaten them of taking them to court, Venere is not trust worthy
Would give 0 stars if possible

Lists a hotel in the wrong place, takes my money and when I get confirmation I see that they scammed me, will not refund my money saying that it is hotel policy, calling the hotel I find it is a lie.
STAY AWAY.

We booked and got a confirmation mail. Contacted the hotel and everything was in order. Price matched and we had no problems with payment which happened at checkout.

This was the first time me and my partner used this website to book a hotel stay. I decided to pay at the hotel and apparently Venere needed my card details to take a £1 reservation fee. The next day I was shocked to find the full amount was taken, which meant my Account went overdrawn by the bank. If I wanted to pay the full amount I would have transferred more into my account. I called customer services up I was shocked to hear that I was wrong and how apparently on-line that option didn't exist to the room I booked and even worse I had to email proof from their website. I work in A head office of a company and i will make sure they hear about this too.

I have been booking accommodation for my husband and myself over many years. Stumbled across Venere by accident and was cynical about using a accommodation booking agency, Couldn't have been more wrong.
Venere has:
1. been easy to use
2. offered excellent deals for both location and price
3. responded to requests for bookings promptly
4. followed through with booking confirmations a few days before our arrival with details of location weather forecasts, maps, main attractions, recommendations for nearby places to eat.
I will be using Venere for future travel accommodation. Also, I won't hesitate to recommend the company to friends.

Visited a very nice guesthouse in Portugal for 10 days. I paid on line ( or so I thought) before travel with my credit card. We arrrived on site to find the guest house was expecting full payment in cash ( circa 1000 Euros) as they don't accept credit cards & never have done. Not an impressive transaction by Venere, as it clearly offered me payment terms & a discount to book with my credit card, which I took.

Easy booking, the hotel was great, the price good. we had really nice time.

I have now booked twice with Venere.com and have been very satisfied with their dealings with me I would definitely recommend them and I am certainly booking my holiday next year. The minister hotel that I booked was brilliant it's very basic but friendly and not too expensive they can't do enough for you

Venere.com has a superior hotel booking service. One can reserve a room in a very simple way (only a few clicks). The searching is quick, prepaiment is usually not needed, and only a few personal data are enough. I was already using it for many years, but I was never disappointed. The quality of the hotels which are represented corresponds to that in the description. The description is objective, the location of the hotels is given precisely, and the website works always reliably (I have never experienced technical problems!!!). It is also very easy to change or cancel a reservation. I can recommend this very good service to anyone booking hotel rooms.

Booked a room in Vegas with Venere.com and it was quick and easy with very competitive prices!

I used Venere to reserve a room in central city Salerno without any up front charges and the ability to cancel at no charge. Could not believe it, so I checked with a Belgian friend and he told me I did not have to worry about my hotel room not being there when I arrived from Bethesda, Maryland via Naples' airport. Have stayed here a week and everything has been fine. Will recommend Venere to all my friends.
