Having queried a transaction on my credit card I received a prompt reply and explanation. I had agreed and paid for an unwanted subscription in error. The girl arranged a partial refund for me and sent me full written instructions on how to cancel the subscription. The service is excellent and I can't thank them enough.

The site was average but Venntro is extremely unfair and although I cancelled my account, they say I didn’t and have taken a further 6 months out of my bank.
I actually had the Fraud Squad contact me about them.
I have explained to Venntro but they refuse to reimburse me. I feel they take advantage of vulnerable old people. Therefore, I would definitely steer clear.

They do not email receipts, no warnings, make it impossible to cancel and then take money from account. I wouldn't be surprised if this company is not shut down, already reported to Slough Trading Standards.

It was very helpful, it's something I'd try again as the site is user friendly. I would appreciate though that communication improves on upgrades. Scam. I tried to pay £19.99 for 6 month membership. It came back, oops a problem. No money taken, try again. Stupidly I did. Next thing, barclays fraud dept txt me, saying the company had requested £89 twice but luckily they blocked it! Do not use Birmingham dating site!!!

Disgraceful. As soon as I went on the site I knew it wasn't for what it said. Tried to cancel before my free trial ended and the website wouldn't let me stating I had to wait 48 hours. Eventually the link became active to cancel. I did. Noticed they took £89 out my bank anyway. Wrote asking for my money back and they said I didn't cancel in the period stated even though I cancelled on the same day my subscription allegedly started after an "auto renew". Basically they don't let you cancel during the free trial and charge you for the pleasure. Avoid at all costs.

This company take payments for dating site set up by Archant media group - don't know if they have bought them out but site is hopeless, constant 'pop-ups' for porn sites, several times on each viewing of profile, wasting masses of time, false notifications of message waiting only to take you to ...... yes, you've guessed - porn sites. If I wanted a porn site I'd look for one - I want a dance partner/friend. This is the worst of the worst dating site. Venntro response very misleading. It appears they bought EDP24 dating from Archant Media owners and my comments apply to the site they have renamed Local Meeting Place and which they are entirely responsible for operating.

AVOID ALL VENNTRO DATING SITES
Tried out another of the groups dating sites, 'Casual UK Naughty' and found it the same scam as all the others. I interacted with several profiles who had allegedly shown interest in me and found every one to be fake. They were either outright scammers, links to other scam sites or just phishing for contact details. Several of the 'girls' I chatted with tried the age old scam of pretending that they had to go abroad to finalize some business, either closing a company or dealing with the estate of a departed relative, promising to meet up on their return. Then comes the sob story of being forced to pay unexpected fees to authorities abroad and or not having the money to get back to the UK. I investigated over a 100 'girls' that contacted me through the site and found them all to be fakes using photos from porn sites or the internet. This made nonsense of the supposed 'Vetting' procedure carried out by the site and the 'Guarantee' of genuine profiles. Reporting the fakes on the site and contacting their Support Team with proof of the fakes made absolutely no difference and they remained on the site, the only comment from Venntro was the standard response about ensuring all profiles were thoroughly checked. *UPDATE* In spite of reporting the fake profiles they all remain on the site, even the obvious fakes using photos of porn stars. Some photos are of people on LinkedIn, one of which is a CEO of a banking organisation in Singapore but her photo appears on four different profiles all based in England.
