Dreadful - scam company who lie repeatedly

Absolutely dreadful - they wouldnt return our money (order placed in Sept for Nov delivery) so thankfully in January Santander used the chargeback scheme with us, so we got a full refund. Just had to show the email trail and reviews from this website. The Doncaster address is a convenience address. Lee Belcher is from 105 Coast Drive, Romney Marsh, and has a history of failed internet businesses.

Good Morning

We have been trying for months to refund customers who are still awaiting a refund.

Please contact us at refundsvictorverace@gmail.com with a screenshot of your order and proof you have not been refunded. A small explanation is found below:

In August last year we teamed up with 4 manufacturers in China to produce a range of furniture items. As with a lot of furniture suppliers like Dfs we intended to use a made to order business model hence the 8 week lead time.

After placing a few adverts on Facebook orders flooded in and our suppliers assured us they could keep up with the demand.

However come October our suppliers were getting further and further behind which is when we decided to only take orders on very specific ranges.

In the month of October we also refunded over £180,000 in orders as people become impatient and others were becoming worried we were a scam. We willingly handed back the money as we were in fact not a scam but a struggling start up. (something we can of course prove).

As all the furniture items started arriving we used parcel force to fulfill most orders. At this point we was no longer accepting any new orders and was focused solely on fulfilling current orders. It was around this time (early november) that people started to believe we were a scam. Groups started to be set up and fake accounts who were messaging all our customers telling them to issue a chargebacks with the bank.

What pursued after was complete chaos, we had hundreds and hundreds of chargebacks flooding in as we worked from 4am to 9pm (again something we can prove) to send out items.

Then towards the end of November at which point over 40% of all orders had been delivered (again something we can prove) parcel force didn't turn up for our usual collection (7am with 2 7.5 tonne wagons).

I personally got through to the depot and they told me they would no longer be working with us. They explained the parcels where far too large and heavy and stated they were running at a loss due to us using dispatch bay. Even though our items fell within their max size limits. We had over 700 parcels alone that day which were already labelled up and paid for.

A few days later our selling platform Shopify decided to limit our account due to the large number of chargebacks. In doing so they also stopped allowing access to the platform which means we can no longer see customers orders, reply to chargebacks, issue refunds etc.

To this date this is still the situation we're in.

So basically, all the stock had arrived yet we had no information on where to send it. We couldn't refund any orders as we didn't have access and we couldn't send the items as PARCEL Force were no long collection from us.

We've refunded every order we can find, we haven’t taken a penny from the business since October when issues started arising.

We still have no way of telling who's been refunded, who's had their items delivered and we can't even reply to chargebacks. So it's not "us" that's saying your items delivered.

We know there have been thousands of people who have received their items and got their money back due to this.

Anyhow, that was what happened in summary. We weren't and have never been a scam. We simply failed and failed miserably.

We look forward to finally resolving those who are still left in the dark.

I ordered 6 chairs early October in…

I ordered 6 chairs early October in November I received an email to say they had been manufactured and that they would be dispatched within 4 weeks which I found strange!
Once the 4 weeks had passed I hadn’t heard anything so I emailed them and they did respond saying that due to it being such a busy period that my order would be another 4-6 weeks which wasn’t great as I’d ordered them for Christmas!!
Despite me emailing them several times for updates on my order Victor Verace never responded
Though I paid on debit card I have received a temporary full repayment from my bank whilst they investigate the matter!
I will use this as a learning experience and will never deal with this company again and I would recommend that if you where looking to buy products off Victor Verace, that you strongly reconsider and go elsewhere.

Same boat as everyone else

Same boat as everyone else. Absolutely disgusting that this man is able to set business after business up and con people out of money! Ordered a dining table and chairs in November. Predictably VV did not respond to any of my contact and so I raised a fraud dispute with the bank. I am so grateful to my bank as they have refunded me in full. Having paid by direct debit I wasn't sure this would happen.

** A Message For All Customers **

We have been trying for months to refund customers who are still awaiting a refund.

Please contact us at refundsvictorverace@gmail.com with a screenshot of your order and proof you have not been refunded. We will then arrange for you to be refunded or have your items sent (if we have them).

A small explanation is found below:

In August last year we teamed up with 4 manufacturers in China to produce a range of furniture items. As with a lot of furniture suppliers like DFS we intended to use a made to order business model hence the 8 week lead time. The idea was the customer orders their products, we manufacturer them and have them sent directly to the customer.

We rented a warehouse in Doncaster and set up accounts with Parcel Force to deliver the items. We went through a broker called Despatchbay.com.

After placing a few adverts on Facebook orders flooded in and our suppliers assured us they could keep up with the demand.  As with any start up we were extremely excited to be off the ground so quickly.

However come October our suppliers were getting further and further behind which is when we decided to only take orders on very specific ranges. We noticed that the delivery times were not going to be met which is when we started sending mass emails to customers.

In the month of October refunded over £180,000 in orders as people became impatient and others were becoming worried we were a scam. We willingly handed back the money as we were in fact not a scam but a struggling start up. (something we can of course prove). If we had any bad intentions we would not of started heavily refunding customers.

As all the furniture items started arriving we used parcel force to fulfill most orders (98%). At this point we was no longer accepting any new orders and was focused solely on fulfilling current orders.

We started seeing instagram posts of people with their items, we even had one featured at Grand Designs. It was at this point we thought things were finally turning around.

However we was very very wrong...

It was around this time (early november) that people started to believe we were a scam. Groups started being set up and fake accounts who were messaging all our customers telling them to issue a chargebacks with the bank. They were purposely trying to sabotage us and to this date we are still unclear why. However they started to make those still waiting second guess our legitimacy.

What pursued after was complete chaos, we had hundreds and hundreds of chargebacks flooding in as we worked from 4am to 9pm (again something we can prove) to send out items. We were shipping out on average 400+ parcels a day (We have the thousands of receipts to prove this).

Then towards the end of November at which point over 40to 50% of all orders had been delivered and a vast number refunded (again something we can prove). Parcel force didn't turn up for our usual collection (7am with 2 7.5 tonne wagons).

I personally got through to the depot and they told me they would no longer be working with us. They explained the parcels were far too large and heavy and stated they were running at a loss due to us using despatch bay. (Even though our items fell within their max size limits) I pleaded and pleaded with them to collect the current orders booked in however they refused. (Feel free to ring Parcel Force as they can't deny this).

We had over 700 parcels alone that day which were already labelled up and paid for. The next issue was DPD would only allow us to send parcels up to 2.25CBM which meant we had to manually book in each order with Myhermes.

Due to the 700 orders being cancelled and the tracking not working this only helped fuel people's concerns. Which resulted in more bad feedback and more chargebacks.

A few days later our selling platform Shopify decided to limit our account due to the large number of chargebacks. In doing so they also stopped allowing access to the platform which means we can no longer see customers orders, reply to chargebacks, issue refunds etc. I begged them to at least allow myself access to see customers orders. I explained without this it's impossible to send and fulfil any outstanding orders. At this stage all the stock had arrived, we had a warehouse bursting at the seams with stock but was unable to send any of it.

I sent 6 further emails begging Shopify for the information to no avail.

To this date this is still the situation we're in.

We've refunded every order we can find, we haven’t taken a penny from the business since October when issues started arising.

We still have no way of telling who's been refunded, who's had their items delivered and we can't even reply to chargebacks.

We know there have been thousands of people who have received their items and got their money back due to this. It was being encouraged massively on social media to open chargebacks and we noticed the comments of many people say they'd managed to get a refund and keep their items.

I can completely understand how this looks like a scam. Believe me I am beyond frustrated how things turned out.

However all I can do as this stage is try to find those who have not received their items or been refunded. So please, if you have not received a refund or your items then let me know.

I can only beg you not to claim a refund if you have already received one.

Kind Regards

Don't do it

Order placed 4 months ago - was told "good news" that item had been manufactured with estimated dispatch date by 4th December. Here we are 2 months on and nothing. Thankfully purchased by credit card so will start ball rolling on chargeback.

UPDATE
Thank you for the War & Peace explanation Victor Verace. My chargeback is in the system and I will continue with that...

SCAM.

SCAM.

I have the same story as everyone else here. Placed an order in August 2019 and was repeatedly told different delivery dates before Parcel2Go announced that there were no parcels "suitable for collection" from the company (not ParcelForce, despite what Lee's recent generic response to other reviewers says). I repeatedly requested confirmation of delivery dates and then I repeatedly requested a refund, all ignored. I then successfully got a chargeback from my bank which Victor Verace have CONTESTED! They contested it days after announcing on social media that they can no longer fulfil orders? The absolute cheek ASTOUNDS me.

My bank have given them my money back and I am beyond livid.

As others have posted, this man has run multiple scam companies. I hope that all of our reports to trading standards and to the press have an impact and he is prevented from causing any further pain.

Update.

Update.
3rd review , Same story as everybody else . Managed to get money refunded on chargeback via the bank. Paid on debit card. VV now challenging return payment. Don't know how they've got the cheek. Absolute cowboy operation. I have ordered chairs from elsewhere and very happy with them. VV are not having my money again so will have to go to trading standards to prevent them getting payment back from the bank. Bloody scandalous behaviour victor verace. Get some morals !!

Dishonest, Crook, any other words...?

I’ve already left a review on here, I was one of the lucky ones and managed to get my refund from VV after 8.5 weeks of waiting for 3-6 lead time chairs!!! Can’t believe this guy was/is still taking orders. Has anyone been to the press about this?

Just received the message below from “Victor Verace”. It’s just excuses. And highly unprofessional to blame everyone else rather than holding your hands up and admitting you messed up.

It is 2 Feb and the support email still has a Christmas out of office message to 3rd January. They finally sent my order just before Xmas (having ordered 23 Aug). One chair was smashed and they will not respond to my emails when I clearly need a replacement. I sent photos but no response and no customer service. Do not deal with this company - they are not reliable and are dishonest.

Hard to Believe

In response to your reply:
You took orders, from what I am reading, AFTER the date you said your troubles began.
Order Fulfillment is base 1 in starting up an online business. You do not take more orders or offer more product than you can manage or supply.
With this in mind, you should not take payment until despatch.
NOTHING has stopped you from personally updating and informing your customers of the situation. You have resolutely ignored customers and withheld information via the normal channels outside of this forum.
The desperate situation you are in now should not be the reason you inform people of what has happened to their goods and money.
There is no escaping the FACT that you have acted in the most unscrupulous way and your business practice is clearly failing on a worryingly and increasingly significant level.
You have ignored customers correspondence. Correspondence from those who have provided you with funds. Where are these funds currently? With your suppliers or with yourselves?
I do not believe after months of waiting that these items will arrive. It is even harder to believe that you ask customers to rectify reviews in your favour.
For your information, this platform is FOR customers and is called TRUSTpilot for a reason. After you have clearly catalogued, you have failed to secure TRUST in your customers and therefore, you should have the humility to hold up your hands and make it your mission to EARN back that trust.
That would start with transparency about the status of all your customers goods, responses to emails and messages and refunds of all monies.
My advice to customers who would like to is to contact your bank as most are able to provide refunds through their fraud department for debit cards and chargebacks for credit cards.
As lovely as the pictures of what you ordered are, they may not materialise and probably don’t exist, as many of us have waited far beyond the reasonable time period for delivery.
If you Lee and Francesca, have found yourselves in the sad position of being let down by suppliers as you have described, it is advisable that you seek legal action and more importantly, advice as you will need it.
