I received my order but with fixings missing :-(

I ordered 4 of the Nordic dining chairs in blue on the 2nd September 2019. Shortly after making this order, I received a letter in the post informing me that my order would arrive in 6 to 8 weeks.
Following this, I received an email at the end of October informing me that I would receive my order between 11th and 17th of November.
Unfortunately, my chairs did not arrive between these dates therefore on 20th November, I emailed Victor Verace asking when I could expect the chairs to be delivered. I received an email the following day apologising for the delay and informed I would receive tracking information within 24 hours. That same day, I received an email stating that my order would be delivered by parcel force along with a link with tracking information. Till this point, I had felt the communication with the company had been okay, and I accepted that this was a new business that was likely to just be overwhelmed with the amount of orders. The tracking information was slow to update, however the tracking updated on the 27th November to state that my order would be delivered that day, and on this day my delivery did in fact arrive. The box was slightly battered however I was just relieved that I had received my order. Unfortunately, when I came to unpackage my order, I had the seats, the chair legs, the seat cushions and the pads for the bottom of the feet, but no way of fixing the chairs together!
I emailed that evening to request that the fixings for the chairs be delivered. I received no response to my email. I sent a further 4 emails, all of which were ignored.
After sending final emails in January, I gave up with trying to get the fixings. Fortunately, my husband and his father have been able to source alternative fixings from b&q, but at a further cost.
Overall, I feel really let down. I remained very patient throughout, accepting this was a company that was new and had just become overwhelmed. The fact that all my emails were ignored about the fixings was very disappointing, and as a result we have had to source and pay for our own chair fixings. I am very sorry for those still waiting for their deliveries, and hope that you do eventually receive your orders as I did (and when they do arrive, you have everything within the box!)

Dear Customer

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise once again to some of you regarding the delivery of your furniture and try to explain the reasons behind this.

When the orders were placed with the manufacturers, and of course in the planning stages prior to setting up the business, we were promised a manufacturing time that totalled 2 weeks. Once an order was placed, the money got sent to the manufacturers so they could begin the process of producing the furniture. However, as soon as they received payment, the time taken was 7 weeks for manufacturing, and is some cases up to 10 weeks. This explains why some of the furniture was taking a lot longer to arrive with us than anticipated and planned for. Couple this with the transportation delays from arriving at the port to our warehouse in Doncaster, and a few months passed before it arrived.

On the 17th December, ParcelForce (who were our main courier) cancelled our collections on the day, along with our contract, due to the size and weight of the parcels.

The following day, our payment provider and website host – Shopify – limited the access to our account due to the number of people we were refunding as the deliveries were falling outside of the time stated upon purchase. As of present, we have delivered 58% of all orders and refunded 27%.

Today, the 27th January, we still have no access to our website or payment database which makes it impossible to send orders, refund customers or even provide evidence for the fraudulent chargebacks made against us.

We would like to make you aware that if you have an outstanding order with us, or you are awaiting a refund, these will be processed as soon as Shopify grant us access again. We are not a fraudulent company and have been placed in this awful situation – for us as a company and also you as the customer you have trusted us to deliver your goods.

As the director of the company, I want to assure you that you will receive either your items, or a full refund, as soon as possible.

If you're awaiting delivery please email us with your order number, the items you ordered (preferably a screenshot and your delivery address) we can then arrange for your goods to be delivered).

My sincere apologies once again.

Yours sincerely,

Lee

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. If you have ordered anything, I suggest you contact your bank / card provider and see what they can do.

I have unfortunately lost out on a large sum of money and have no response to any contact. It's obviously far too easy to set up a legitimate looking website with a secure payment method and then take peoples money and not provide the goods.

This is a real shame for legitimate companies as I will now no longer order anything from a company I haven't heard of before, but exist online.

Avoid

Avoid. Took over 3 months and a dozen emails before 6 of my 8 chairs arrived. The quality was mediocre at best. They have ignored emails regarding the missing chairs, so now I'm going through credit card company. Save yourself a lot of trouble and order though a reputable company. Avoid.

Please do not order from this company

Please do not order from this company - the man who calls himself Victor verace is a scammer. Ordered chair and footstool in September 2019 - only got 2 emails and one letter on flimsy unleaded paper to say delivery would be in 2 weeks in November. Despite contacting them numerous times there was no response. The website is being shown as being 'updates for ages now; the email address is not working neither is the phone number. Stupidly paid by debit card!!! DO NOT BE SCAMMED!

Have just been lucky enough to be…

Have just been lucky enough to be refunded from these scammers! As I bought the dining chairs on a debit card, they refunded me instantly and said the reference from where the money was taken has already been flagged as fraud is but from people buying sporting equipment. Do not buy from this company and try and get your money back ASAP if you have!

The Nordic that NEVER Came - SCAM

I ordered a Nordic Custom black and white chair for my study over 4 months ago. I emailed the customer service (Because there was no number) they said its on its way conveniently within 24 hours. I had waited well over 8 weeks to contact them first and suddenly a Kate replys to me to say its shipped in 24 / 48 hours... OK

I gave them a further 2 weeks then emailed them again (incase 48 hours isn't actually 48 hours), I was told to give them a reference number, but I did not receive an order number or postal tracking. I've realised I MA6 HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND I DON'T THINK MY MONEY WILL BE RETURNED. I feel terrible for not reading the reviews below prior to ordering.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

Update : 30th Jan 2020
No Lee, I have not received a refund or an email to state a refund will be placed, I even sent your company the bank statement which states payment was taken. Nor has my chair arrived. Such a shame honestly. Don't bother people.

Once bitten.........

The one star rating is because the system will not allow me to proceed without a rating AND I did eventually receive the chair I ordered BUT.........what an utter shambles this organisation is/was. I cannot believe Victorverace is/was allowed to operate in this way and, more worryingly, even if the business is defunct, I see no reason why the registered owner cannot simply set up another scam business. I had to threaten to go to the police in order to get my order and have never received the 'free' throw which was offered as part of the deal or the whisky glasses I was promised for completing a Trustpilot review.......I feel sorry for those who have not received their goods, particularly since the chair I bought IS exquisite, and would advise the following: NEVER order from an organisation which does not have a telephone number, ALWAYS pay using a method which offers protection (ie Paypal or credit card) and ALWAYS research reviews etc before parting with your money............

Lee

I bought, paid, but did not get my dressing table delivered to me at all

Please be very careful with this supplier.

I bought a dressing table from Victor Verace on 3rd October 2019. Its photo was lovely, and price very affordable, cheaper than i had in my budget. I was not too comfortable as i had never heard of "VIctor Verace". But it was by far the most beautiful, and i couldn't find another that I wanted, so on my third or forth return to their site, i decided to purchase online.

I found unusual that the supplier had no telephone helpline, just address and email. However, I trusted them, as initially this supplier kept in touch, advised that my order was in queue for manufacturing, then it entered manufacturing, then email advising that it had completed, and would enter queue for dispatch, which could take p to 22 days and all.

After waiting the advised leadtime, circa 2 months after, I reinitiated communications, and got replies stating that they had been a bit delayed, but i should soon receive a text message from courier, with my dispatch. I even received a message with tracking numbers, bit strange as they looked like parcel force ones, and i checked Parcel Force, but no sign of parcels with those codes -- i had received 2 tracking codes.

After that I kept writing, many messages, every 3 days, in the same way i had done before, and had been receiving replies, but no longer received any communications.

I then went back to my credit card, and described the situation, that i purchased and had not received my purchase, and they stated that they had a couple of similar cases, of other customers advising that they also had not received their goods, same supplier.

After that the credit card refunded my card, and asked me for all evidence of my communications with them. I provided all that i had, which I kept in my records, and the case is now with them.

Be very careful, don't pay by debit card, as you won't be able to claim back if they don't send you your goods. Keep well!
--- reply to Seller
Thank you for the explanation. After nearly 4 months of my purchase, when I needed a solution for my newly refurbished house, then with no furniture, at the experience of no communications from you, unfortunately now I sorted out, and won't need your dressing table anymore.

Best option I see now, is you refund me, for my purchase, you have my order number, don't need to share here publicly, although if you insist I can. Then I will communicate with my credit card company and they will revert the refund they made to me, also stopping the dispute related to my case with you. I am happy to take the time to do my part on this arrangement but I won't take action unless I see a refund on my statement. I hope you see the customer side, and understand

I have had a similar experience to…

I have had a similar experience to other recent reviews. However when I made my purchase, these reviews were not online and the ones that were had been much more positive. At the time there were no reviews of people not receiving their items and so I made the purchase to this company. I have since (in three months) only had a confirmation email and one email following that and then nothing. I’m usually very careful with where I order online from for this reason but unfortunately this feels like it was a pretty full proof scam. Definitely do not invest your money in buying anything from here.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Bought a chair for my daughter's bedroom on 7th September. Said they would deliver by 17th November. Came up with all sort of excuse. Tried to get a refund - ZERO communications and no money back so far. 5 months and still no chair.

They are not even worthy of 1 star but that the minimum I am forced to give. I am now writing to South Yorkshire Trading Standards to ensure these people do not trade again.
