This airline canceled our January 23 flight to Hong Kong and we only found out at the airport. Their excuse was that the travel agency should have informed us. That is not how responsibility works. If you cancel a flight, you notify passengers. Period.

The desk staff was outrageously unprofessional. Eye-rolling, dismissive attitude, and the same line on repeat: “Contact your agency. I can’t help you. Buy new tickets with another airline.”

We were not helped, not taken seriously, and not treated like customers at all.

Because of their incompetence, our accommodation was ruined, our connecting flight missed, and we lost money and time.

This airline shows zero accountability and zero respect. If something goes wrong, you are completely on your own. In other words, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Another vietjet victim. International flight.
They did not permit me to upgrade my seat to business class as i was stuck in a 2 hr long queue at the ho chi minh airport to the check in counter.

In the flight, I couldn't change seats.
Other passengers were noisy during the entire flight. Food shit and couldn't buy or select my preferred meal.
Seats are shit small.No business class seats at all.

Absolutely trash. Requested bribe at every step. No receipts provided. Bags sent on plane. Gate changed on last 5 minutes before boarding commenced. Now repurchasing new tickets. Bags will land prior to me. 15 X others missed and not allowed to enter. Total bribes requested 3million vnd.

VietAir compares to Ryanair- the worst of the travel options. Terrible staff at check in causing huge delay and we almost missed our flight. Disorganised boarding which led to us leaving an hour late. Crazy that you pay for an 11hr flight that has no food, no water, no USB ports, no entertainment, squeezed in to the max, not even a blanket given. When we arrived at Sydney 1 hour delayed the flight staff blamed the airport for being disorganised when it was pretty obvious we had to wait an extra hour because we'd arrived late. They play the worst music,incredibly loud, on repeat. Waiting to disembark felt like torture being stuck on the plane listening to their loud looped music. Will never use this airline again! Worst experience with an airline! Avoid!!!

God forbid you need a wheel chair in Ho Chi Minh airport you will not find a single one. Beg all you want for help but the combination or VietJet and and Ho Chi Minh city can be your worst nightmare. The airport wants to become Istanbul Airport in terms or how pricey everything is - but they are missing all the facilities, the flair, the customer service and even the soaps in the toilets.

the service is absolutely horrible, their travel credit refund requires your bank account balance to be in usd or it doesn't work, even when i bought the ticket in another currency, and support is absolutely no help at all, very disappointed, do not recommend at all

As always confusion at departure hate. Another late departure. Cabin steaming hot before take off. Poor communication re this problem. Gave this airline one more chance but they failed again.

Had a decent experience flying around Vietnam. During our departure from Phu Quoc to Hanoi we were told at check in that our ticket middle names were wrong and needed to be changed. We went to the vietjet desk to change them for a fee of 100,000VND pp. We reluctantly paid, later we were told by our travel agent that middle names are not even required for domestic travel and this was likely a tourist scam. Upon looking back the attendant at the desk was laughing and smiling before he told us to get the names changed and was generally acting a bit weird and avoiding eye contact, it was probably a little scam.

Worst customer service, ever, especially in Ho Chi Minh. Our flight started at Ha Noi then transit to Ho Chi Minh. YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THE AIRPORT AND DO EVERYTHING AGAIN, from boarding pass to immigration, to security. And Ho Chi Minh is the worst airport (I thought it was Manila, but I was wrong). No "extra" line for just picking up your boarding pass. Everything will be charge of course since it is a low-cost budget airline. Make sure you have more than 3 hours lay over (3 hours honestly is a rush already due to lines).

Dodgy scam artists.
Beware the “name change fee” they hit you with at check in. If you haven’t put your middle names on the booking, you will be charged for a “name change fee”. This happens after they have your bags so you are stuck. Also didn’t happen on our first Vietjetair flight, so obviously not a real thing. Every non-Vietnamese in our check in line was targeted. Lots of arguments ensued! Locals also told us to avoid this airline due to frequent cancellations and flight delays. Book other airlines in Vietnam.

very stressful and simply traumatic experience from start to finish. I was sent to 3 different check in desks, there was only around 8 desks open for hundreds of travellers
When I got to the desk I was told check in was closed for my flight, I was then told I could pay to reopen ( it was there fault, just a money making tactic) even though I was stood in a queue for one hour!
They then changed boarding gate.Now over one hour later we are still stuck on the tarmac with technical issues. The flights are cheap for one reason because it is a budget airline with very poor customer care! SACK THE CEO

Our flight was delayed 2 hours from Danang to Hanoi and again delayed 2 hrs from Hanoi to SGN. Never travel with them with kids. They keep changing their departure time.

I had to give at least 1 star to be able to write this review so please read as zero stars. Our first flight was pulled forward by 4 hours, our second flight pushed back by 4 + hours. Emails ended in junk folder so lucky we found them. If you have connections then I suggest walking as it will be more reliable. Ended up booking return with Vietnam Airways who are superior in everyway. Book with Vietjet if you dont mind up to a day schedule changes with very, very little notice. Otherwise avoid and look for literally any other form of transport, a skateboard pulled by a dog or something?

It was a wonderful experience for my flight. The staff were very helpful when I needed to check in. I will come back again.

Vietjet manages to spoil the best holiday experience. We had a fabulous 6 days in Vietnam and the entire holiday was spoilt by the horrible behaviour of the Vietjet staff at the boarding departure gate at Ho Chi Minh!!

After having bought a premium economy ticket for the travel and having bought another 20kgs of additional luggage, we thought we were covered for our travel in terms of luggage. We had about 7.5kgs and 7.6kgs of hand baggage between my wife and me, which included our duty free shopping of Alcohol (2 bottles) and some chocolates.

The horrible staff at the boarding, ked by this very aggressive and rude women (pic included) made us and nearly all the passengers weigh the hand luggage, including the duty free shipping, and wanted to change for minimum 2kgs of excess baggage for even 1 gram of luggage over 7kgs. When we challenged why Duty free shopping was being included, as that was not the norm, she shouted that it was also included, and everything, including my wife’s hand bag/purse, was to be included in the baggage weight.

Having travelled globally for so many years, we have never seen alcohol and duty free shopping to be included in the had luggage allowance, and then to be shouted at like some cattle or pets!! Horrible team and the entire lot of the Vietjet team there was so abnoxious, it was shocking!! They even pushed my wife as she tried to board the flight, and she nearly tripped over. While we will never again travel by viet jet air, this behaviour towards passengers, is just nit acceptable and this team should be hauled up by the senior management and taken off the boarding gates! All the passengers who went thru this were completely in shock!!

Terrible service at airport. Waited 1h30 minutes for luggage so almost missed flight. This happened to everyone on the flight!!!

Worst airlines ever! Every single flight is delayed. The most delayed was 6 hours. No apology no explanation. Only grumpy staff walking around like zombies. I would rather stay home if I cannot afford to fly with other airlines than flying with Vietjet again. Additionally, there is no online check in despite they have advised on the website. They offer priority check in with fee at the airport. Wondering why check in online is not valid.

DO NOT TRAVEL, AS LONG AS YOUR FLIGHT TAKES OFF - YOU ARE OKAY. THE MOMENT IT DOESN'T, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN

1. Flight changed without notification

2. No accomodation or transport arrangement (you are on your own)

3. Extorting people at boarding gate, checking their cabin bag weight (despite them double confirming with check-in counter)

4. Very rude crew from ground staff to air hostesses, every single one of them - lack training on customer service, basic english
