fantastic experience from start to…

fantastic experience from start to finish very realistic looking cockpit.
Had a choice of 100s of different airports and weather settings.
My experience was tailored perfectly
Highlight of the experience was my instructor/co pilot mak who was very professional, knowledgeable and a great teacher.
I had so much fun that i would definitely do this again only if I have mak again.

This review relates to the location at…Stacksteads Bacup

This review relates to the location at Stacksteads Bacup Lancs
I had a Vulcan experience booked for 5th February. The brochure relating to this is very professional which belies the actual experience. Arriving at a former mill the entrance to both the building and the office are in dire need of renovation. Once inside the only heated areas were the 'departure lounge' and the simulator. There was a coffee machine for help yourself coffee but we declined. The 'departure lounge' was very untidy and the furniture had seen better days (rips in a settee had bee taped up). On being taken to the Vulcan simulator it could not be made to work so was offered 40 mins in a 737 and a re-book for the Vulcan. Took the offer of the 737. The view from the cockpit was very blurred and I could not see the runway at Liverpool Airport. The jump seat was a box. After leaving I decided that I would not return as it is an 80 mile round trip and I could not face going into the building again. I mailed my concerns to the booking web site on the 5th but have not received a reply.

Hi Peter. My name is Andy and I have only just seen this review after starting my new role. After doing so I wanted to respond to ensure that you feel as though we have dealt with your dissatisfaction adequately.

The location that the simulator calls home is a historic period mill with a lot of character. I am afraid we have no control over the entrance to the building as it is shared with other businesses.

For heating, like many businesses, we heat the rooms that are in constant use. Those rooms being the waiting room and the simulators. The coffee machine is made available to all customers, as you didn't give a reason for declining I can't comment further.

I can tell you though that the areas that we do have control over have been intentionally sculpted to add to the experience. The Vulcan briefing room was has been decorated to look like a 1970s dispersal hut, we literally set dressed it to look like a crew room, scruffy etc. The rips were actually added to the old sofa :-) You have been the first to comment negatively on it in our many years of operating and we are saddened that our intention to give a realistic experience wasn't appreciated.

As you will have seen, our simulators are incredibly technically complicated and as they are used regularly, maintenance is required from time to time. During normal times of operation they are all used multiple times a day, every day. The unfortunate events on the day that you visited couldn't have been avoided but our efforts to remedy the situation we most certainly do have control over.

As you stated, we offered you time in the 737 which has a value of £140. I am pleased that you took the chance to experience a commercial jet airliner. You have once more been the only person to comment on the quality of the image that you are seeing. In fact I have done a search of all of our Tripadvisor reviews and the only mention of blur is when someone thought their time had passed so quickly it felt like a blur!

As to the Vulcan, we will happily invite you back at a time that suits you, present pandemic situation and calendar permitting of course.

If you do change your mind about the journey please contact our operations team on 01604 211336. We will be more than happy to organise your experience again at, of course .. no additional charge.

An amazing experience!

An amazing experience!
My instructor Simon at Shoreham-by-sea made it amazing, he was great and so knowledgable. Love airplanes and aviation in general, and that experience was just unforgettable. Thank you very much, Simon!!!
Very happy with my visit.

Lots of fun and highly recommended for an exciting day out!

Just took a 60-minute virtual flight with Virtual Aerospace located right by Brighton City airport (just a 10-minute taxi ride from Shoreham-by-Sea that's 1 hour by direct train from London)

Instructor Mak was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with a complete beginner like me. The cockpit was a replica of Boeing 737 cabin, it felt very real. I didn't have any prior experience with any flight simulators and the actual experience was way better than I expected (yet I never thought flying an airplane would be so difficult, seriously it doesn't compare to any computer games).

Lots of fun and highly recommended for an exciting day out!
