Hotels were nice but way out of city…
Hotels were nice but way out of city centres, I did request that they were walking distance from Rome, Florence and Venice city centres, but this was not the case, we had to take public transport for around 1/2 hour plus waiting time on bus stop. The hotel in Venice was way out, bus and tram, not just 10 minutes on tram as Viva holidays mentioned. So if you don’t mind using quite a lot of public transport then go for it, but don’t book tours very early in the morning because you might not make it and will lose the money.

Having decided that we liked the look of a holiday but it wasn't long enough,so enquired as to extra days to be added,this was done by Vaibhav who put the whole package together,and then phone contact to finalise the details and sort out the deposits.

Not as advertised
Needed twin beds. Was sold an ‘add-on’ package totalling £300 extra pp meaning we paid just under £2,000 for a four-night trip (package extras included breakfasts).
Arrived at hotel in one place who stated that “Viva always does this - we don’t have twin beds”.
Viva refused to refund additional payment arguing incorrectly that my contract was with the hotel - then started ghosting my emails.
Update: following VIVA response here (not to my last email which they have not responded to). As I informed VIVA, the hotel said they were raising the issue with VIVA as they had told VIVA ‘many times’ that they do not have twin rooms, and the only twin beds they had were in a disability compliant standard room in the basement - so as we were on a tight schedule (4 nights, 4 different towns, 2 countries) I raised it 3 days later - which is nevertheless well within my statutory consumer rights.

We would like to clarify that, as per our booking records and the documentation shared with you prior to travel, a Twin Queen Bed Room was requested and confirmed with the hotel. This room category typically indicates two separate beds, and the same was clearly outlined in your confirmation and hotel voucher. At no stage was the package or add-ons misrepresented.
We understand your concern regarding the bed configuration provided upon arrival. However, as the room type was correctly reserved and confirmed from our end, the final room allocation is managed by the hotel property. In such situations, we always encourage customers to contact us immediately using the emergency support details provided in the travel documents so that we can intervene in real time and work with the hotel to resolve the issue promptly.
Our records indicate that we did not receive any communication during your stay regarding this matter, which unfortunately limited our ability to assist you while you were in resort. Had we been informed, we would have made every effort to arrange a suitable resolution, such as requesting a room change or exploring alternatives.
We would also like to reassure you that we have remained responsive to your emails and have provided detailed explanations based on our booking records. We certainly have not intended to disregard your concerns.
That said, we have already raised this matter with our hotel supplier to understand why the bed configuration provided upon arrival did not align with the confirmed Twin Queen Bed Room. We are currently awaiting the outcome of their investigation and will review any findings accordingly, and we will share the update with you as soon as it becomes available.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our services.
