Quick and smooth process. Waseem was professional and very helpful managed to arrange something me for last minute.

The total experience was great, from the booking (online) collection to drop off. The service and the total price, no hidden costs, the accurate information given to me. The car was almost new and was the same as the one booked online. They even called me as I left in the car an umbrella! 10 out of 10 for me

Just wanted to say it was great renting our Skoda through VWFS. Great price and great service. More than worth the cost of an Uber to and from Heathrow. The Kodiaq was also great for our family of five adults and was very good on fuel. Also really appreciated your flexibility with drop off time. I have used vwfs a few times while my car has been fixed.this time I lost my car key and needed a motor straight away.The car I got was great to drive but when I returned the car early I got a return of days not used and the same agent was very understanding and arranged all the deposit etc returned to my bank within a few days. The price was cheaper than expected, before insurance of course. The car was fabulous for me. Some electronic things needed to learn but that goes for all new cars. Drove a skoda fabia manual. A 2022 design.

As I don't have a car of my own at present, I hired a Škoda Octavia from Citygate in Slough through VWFS Rent-a-Car for a long weekend visiting friends in Sheffield and the surrounding area.

I chose the location as it was convenient for me to get to and I'd always taken my Octavia to Citygate for servicing when I owned one and never had any issues. They also quoted a better rate than firms closer to home.

The car was spotless and Waseem walked me through the key features, some of which had changed between my previous Mk3 and the Mk4 I hired. The car had half a tank of petrol when I picked it up and the round trip used a little over a full tank.

The only minor niggle I had was that the car was a plug-in hybrid, but the hybrid battery wasn't charged when I picked it up. For some unknown reason, it was also configured in "low speed" charging mode, so it took roughly eight and a half hours to fully charge on what would normally be a 7.4kW charger.

That aside, I'd definitely rent from VWFS Rent-a-Car Slough again in the future, given the model you book is the model you get rather than something they class as "similar" like you get from other companies.

The car was very clean when we collected it, the collection was smooth and fast. We arrived before the hire office opened and the staff at Skoda were very accommodating and hospitable while we waited. They offered us coffee and comfortable chairs to sit in. The car performed perfectly and was exceptionally good on fuel. The return process was fast and easy and they even booked us a cab to get to the airport.

Top notch. EXACTLY as advertised.
Simple and VERY affordable.
No hidden additions and concern when booking or returning.
