Walton & Allen manage 2 property’s of ours. We are extremely happy with them. Annie has helped me so much! She is extremely supportive, helpful and efficient! And also super patient. Thank you!

Worst sales team

Worst sales team, dont know what dodgy stuff they are into., Surely not wanting to sell any property they advertise. They should be stiuck off. Trying to buy flats and none of the sales people are interested. Keep missing appointments and very shameless. Gone so much downhill. Shocking

Avoid

No star if possible. One of the senior staff thinks he personally owns the properties he is supposed to sell for his customer. After he has “screened” you during your first call he will “allow” or “disallow/blacklist” you from viewing the properties that he is supposed to help his customers sell by answering, rejecting your call or never returning your call. Sellers and buyers alike should really think twice before using Walton & Allen.

My son was a tenant in a property, they ignore tenants

My son was a tenant in a property managed by W&A. His room had terrible damp/mould and our complaints and requests for help went ignored for months and months. They just don’t respond. We sent photos regularly and yet only with masses of chasing did we ever get a reponse. Nothing was ever done about it. I’m a landlord myself and know that this is no way to treat tenants. Avoid W&A at all costs - he had months of stress.

An absolute disgrace!

This is my 2nd review about this situation. My daughter's car was damaged by one of your boards. After months you replied asking for more details which we sent months ago. We have rang several times and still have not received a response. An absolute disgrace!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Fantastic customer service, personally felt looked after and was constantly kept in the loop throughout the sale of my property. Nothing was too much or too little for the team at Walton and Allen. Highly recommend!

Many thanks to Walton and Allen

Many thanks to Walton and Allen for great job done selling our house in some difficult circumstances.

They got us a great price and kept things going along even where there were complications with our buyer.

I would not recommend this estate…

I would not recommend this estate agents to sell your property. High staff turnover, no proactive communication, no updates on viewings and a weak mortgage department that ended up in us losing our only buyer. I would recommend trying a different agent first if you want to sell or rent out your property.

Don't trust Walton and Allen

Having read the most recent reviews of Walton & Allen I have to agree with them. I have had to report this company and their subsidiary, Stoneyard, to Nottinghamshire Police and Nottingham City Council Trading Standards to make an allegation of embezzlement. I have also reported their dealings to my Member of Parliament and they are investigating on my behalf.

I would advise anyone not to use this company as you may get your fingers burnt.

Beware - do your homework before instructing W&A and any associated companies

Walton and Allen were appointed as managing agents for a block of flats. Initially they were responsive however with hindsight there were warning signs that all was not well as they became less and less responsive. If you look on companies house they have a complex setup - the management of the block of flats was moved into a newly formed property management company and there was evidence of other companies associated with individuals linked to Walton and Allen being dissolved and administrators being appointed with losses of thousands of pounds being written off. The issue is disguised by multiple RTM companies being setup by Walton and Allen before they are dissolved. Search for Walton and Allen in companies house and then search for companies associated with names linked to Walton and Allen. In the filings section of non- RTM companies look for appointment of administrators and final submissions by administrators for more details.
More recently it has come to light that work carried out by the new property management company has not been carried out properly and funds appear to be missing or unaccounted for.
Walton and Allen are now in the proicess of dissolving the property management company that our block was moved across to and our block's RTM are working hard with various agencies to recover monies owed for poor / unsafe work carried out as well as missing funds which we as flat owners paid in good faith.
If you are reading this - please please check out companies house and Google Walton and Allen and companies linked by names associated with Walton and Allen for evidence of issues raised here and issues elsewhere.

Fire Safety? ? ?

Walton & Allen are using Estate Fire Safety Ltd as their maintenance people - they share the same address at The Pavilion. Director is Brent Weightman, formerly of Stoneyard. Brent was responsible for repairing / replacing fire doors at a block of flats, Tavistock Court on the Mansfield Road. The work was so poor that the directors asked an independent consultant to assess the fire doors. Not a single one was compliant. Brent charged the block management £8,000 for fire doors which were not fit for purpose and which therefore presumably left residents at risk.
The Property Redress Scheme (see Walton & Allen's website - they too are members) has issued judgement against Stoneyard instructing them to repay the £8,000 but they have not done so.
Estate Fire Safety? I don't think so.
