I redently purchased a Sportage GTLine which was nearly two years old. The whole experience was generally fantastic, only let down by slow response to post purchase query on battery caution indicator... See more

I have never used this garage and after what I witnessed last night I never would.
Whilst waiting for my order in Yeovil McDonald's last night ( sept 11) , a middle aged gentleman wearing a Wessex Garages body warmer type jacket took a coffee stick stirrer from the condiments counter, on taking it he accidentally dropped it on the floor. Following this he just kicked it across the floor towards the counter and took another. I said to him ''are you not going to pick that up and put that in the bin?". Where he replies to me with ''na they will do that''. I guess meaning the staff will pick it up. I replied to him with "yes, that's the attitude", being sarcastic.
With this in mind, I understand that it is not the companies fault for his actions, but perhaps when you are wearing company branded work wear you should have a little more respect. As for the company, possibly when their logo states 'the intelligent choice', they should look to employ more intelligent staff.

We bought a 2nd hand vehicle from Wessex Mazda and we were more than impressed with the professionalism from the sales team, especially Clayton and Joe, absolutely brilliant, from initial sales to hand over. All promises were delivered and exceeded with the additional service and work carried out to the vehicle prior to collection. I have bought vehicles from various German vehicle dealerships and not received the quality of service I received by Wessex, first class all round, will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

With a referral from the AA I went here as I was on holiday and had another 6 weeks of touring.
A sensor was fitted to the rear wheel and although the warning light was not stpped I was told that it would be left on to prompt me to get the opposite back wheel sorted.
My brother in law, a mechanic says the repair done was with a sub standard part and the light left on cos they knew and couldn’t resolve.
Wish I had seen these reviews earlier. Goodbye £135

My Motability Sportage required recovering to Gloucester on 28/7/25. The car was initially investigated without consideration of the RAC report and we were incorrectly informed it was fixed on 4/8/25. On 14/8/25 we were told it needs to go on diagnostics and the earliest available slot was 11/8/25. On 18/8/25 I visited Gloucester and explained that my Motability car is adapted and that the hire provided by RAC cannot be driven by me, therefore could my case be escalated. By 27/8/25 I have heard nothing. Wessex Gloucester seem incapable of basic customer service communication and support of Kia vehicles they happily sell you on the scheme……. So a month in we are still waiting to find out what’s wrong with it, let alone fix it. I cannot recommend they have a Kia Motability franchise.

I visited their Bristol showroom last month with Andreas just to browse as I was interested to change my 7 year Audi car. I was approached by a young man called Oliver White. He was very courteous and made no attempt to sell me anything. He listened to my requirements and came up with some suggestions. At no point did I feel pressured to make a decision. After my decisionOliver left the Communication open regarding my purchase and was very accommodating, especially as I wanted reassurance in that the car I had chosen was the right one for me. I highly rate their customer service and the way they communicate by sending a short video or follow-up calls after the sale to see how things are going. I will highly recommend this establishment for anyone interested in buying a car, either new or used.

I I had Minas work on my Note, it needed a new hub assembly. He submitted a video of the underside to highlight the tyre issues. It prompted me to renew my old tyres and demonstrated the aftercare that is a part of the Nissan family. Liam was very helpful in explaining all these items to me. You obviously have a strong team at Hayes Way and as a new customer to your depot, I felt cared for, both in person and after sales care package. I would recommend any Nissan owner to use your local dealer. Thank you.

We took delivery two weeks ago of a 2024 Kia Xceed from Wessex Garages, Cardiff. The car itself (touch wood) has been fine. However, the experience has been dire.
They were very attentive when we agreed to buy the car, very keen for us to sign the order documents. After we had made the commitment it was like wading through treacle, and once we had transferred the funds the treacle became thicker.
The car was delivered later than promised. We have emails to say the car will be delivered with a full tank of fuel, this did not happen. We are still waiting for them to rectify this. It always seems to be us that has to chase the salesman. A simple gift or fuel card to compensate would suffice. £40 of fuel is nothing in the scheme of things when you have just paid over £20k for a car, but its the principle.
Realised after two weeks that we still have not received the registration documents. So we have just come off the phone to DVLA who have informed us that the car is still registered as ‘Trade’. This is worrying as a stipulation of the insurance is that the car is registered in the policy holders name.
I have deliberately waited this long before posting a review so that the company has had a chance to put things right……we are still waiting.

Purchased a car with Harry being my sales person. Harry went out of his way to help me. A lovely salesman, not at all pushy, love my Nissan juke. I would buy all my future cars from this company.

I rarely write reviews and tbh they have only been for bad customer service, but I felt I had to write a review about Ricky.
We popped in yesterday to Wessex Nissan Garage Bristol to see if we could have a quick look at a car we were possibly interested in and were greeted by Ricky. He was so friendly and helpful, engaging and made us feel very welcome. He enabled us to have a look at the vehicle and everything about how we were treat encouraged us to book an appointment to purchase the car. Needless to say today's visit was just as perfect and we signed the paperwork all because of a wonderful young salesman. I highly recommend looking for him if you are popping into Nissan and I genuinely am looking forward to collecting our car so that we see him again

I have a Nissan X-Trail from Nissan - Wessex Garages, Newport, South Wales. I have been in possession of this vehicle for more than a month. When I received the vehicle, I was informed of my purchase - I have now received the Car Mats and appreciate the excellent Customer Support from Sam Williams - delivering the Car Mats in his own time. Thank you, Sam, for your continued support.

Absolutely shocking customer service standards (Hayes Way & Pennywell Rd)
Purchased a used three year old Qashqai with extended warranty and service plan from this dealership in 2022.
NEVER AGAIN!
The list of issues we have had with the vehicle is endless. And surprise surprise, this dealership has tried to claim more often than not that the issues were not covered. When challenged have most mostly backed down. On one occasion we had to call the warranty company in front of them for them to accept that a software issue effecting the Adblue was a warranty covered fault. The only reason we still deal with them is we have paid for the service plan and extended warranty. The only time we felt we got good service from this garage was when they were selling us the vehicle. Once this expires we will be selling the car and we never buy another Nissan or ever use this franchise again!
We have had so many wasted journeys to them after making booking with courtesy car only to turn up and find one isn't available.
On a footnote, the build quality and reliability of the Qashqai (2019) is shocking. I am mechanically trained and been driving cats and motorcycles for over 25 years. I have never experienced such unreliability in a vehicle.
To list just a few of the issues we have had:
Software fault affecting Adblue (not detecting refilling of system)
Wires to offside rear wheel ABS sensor broke (garage claimed rodent damaged) £312 to replace
Nearside front door unable to open from inside, once repaired the window now tilts in runners and works at a snails pace.
Currently dealing with them for Offside rear window will go down but won't go up via control in back, only works from drivers controls which they are disputing is covered under the warranty. And, ClimateI control system fault where no adjustments to fan speed can be made and system blows at lowest setting.
The car creaks and rattles from trim in front and rear.

A very relaxed, unpressurised experience. The sales team were very friendly and knowledgeable. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Went in to have a look at a Sportage in Wessex Newport, and we ended up buying a car there and then. Harry was very nice and very helpful, no hard sell, he was the reason we made the purchase, and we got a good deal on our old car as well.

I was offered exactly what I needed, at a price i could afford. The Sales Staff were extremely knowledgeable & advised me without bias. Follow up calls, to check i was happy, nothing was too much trouble

Poor culture of customer service. Repeated disappointments over the years.
We’ve experience consistently bad service from Wessex Garage in Gloucester. Feels like they have a really poor customer culture. They don’t seem to care, don’t call you back, have repeatedly failed to rectify problems with our car, have needed chasing to complete things, no cleaning/hoovering of car when serviced (despite v expensive service plan taken out) and are cold and dismissive when challenged.
It’s interesting scanning through these reviews for Wessex. It’s really notable how Wessex Gloucester really lets the Wessex company/brand down. Sort it out Wessex.
We now drive to Hereford Kia - Gravells. Much better. Customer focused, professional and competent.

Pennywell Rd staff were really helpful and friendly there is also a variety of different make second hand cars available and they all seem to be is very good condition
The site is really easy to get to and there is a separate customer car park with lots of space so I didn't feel like I had to rush to move or watch my car while tring to look at a new one
