Hello Mr Morris We have been trying to contact you to arrange delivery as you are 8hrs round trip from our warehouse we wanted to add in other customers to the journey. Unfortunately all our deliveries are south of Scotland at the moment. I can arrange a refund if you don't want to wait for your panels . I will call you tomorrow . Gary

Shameful. Avoid at all Costs!

Staff more interested in watching their phones than serving customers. Language they use is disgusting also when we were walking around looking at the panels. Served by someone who said he was the owner but looked as though he had been dragged through bushes. Hair a mess. Clothes unironed. Had no perception of looking good while on the shop floor and when he tried to sell us products its what he liked not what we wanted. When it came time to ordering, the products weren't even in stock until a few weeks down the line! But he still tried to push through the sale!!! Why would I buy something that wasn't in stock!! Went into Wet Wall Works instead and placed our order quickly, efficiently and my order was delivered the same week.

Shameful. Avoid this company at all costs. Nothing more than a dodgy second hand car salesman and that's an insult to second hand car salesmen!!

I am sorry your experience was not as you expected. Not sure who you dealt with but it was not the owner as he has not been on the shop floor for some months . The staff are on casual clothing as the are jumping in and out of vans and warehouses for our customers. In terms of the language we do have a number of tradespeople that come in and I agree their language is colourful so I am sorry you were offended by this . We carry a lot of different products and it is difficult to have everything in stock at all times however we do carry the large amount stock and have doubled our warehouse this year alone. You will see from our other reviews that your experience was unusual and we will try harder next time .

Excellent service

Recently bought from them wet wallmpanels. Very big choice also in floors. Panels are solid and very good quality, floor vinyl tiles are with underlay already, very professional advisors helpful and interested in clients. Also prices unbeatable. My only advice is to put store name on wearhouse as well as I could not find it. Definitely recommend and would use again.

Hi James,

We are sorry that you feel the need to leave such a negative review. Unfortunately, the panels that you ordered were found to be out of stock at our main warehouse, but we tried to source it from our other stores and even from our supplier to no avail. So when we contacted you this afternoon to make you aware of the situation, that was the first point we realised that we could not fulfil your order unfortunately.

There is a real shortage of certain panel designs currently due to the pandemic and unfortunately your panel size was one such item to be affected. We did offer you an alternative design at the same size - which you rejected - and also offered you the same design in 1m instead of 1.2m which you refused and thereafter asked for a full refund which was actioned within 5 minutes of your request.

Ten minutes after demanding your refund, you then requested to change the panel design to one which is a custom order panel and takes longer to arrive than your required Saturday deadline - which I advised you of.

Your order, if we had it in stock, would have been dispatched on Thursday not delivered on that day. And we advise all customers not to book fitters in until you actually receive your order for issues such as this occurring.

I am sorry that we could not fulfill your order and apologise wholeheartedly for the inconvenience caused.

Best Regards

Andy

The final insult

Gary. Your response does not reflect the situation accurately and I therefor wish to add the following to my comments. Firstly, the original board did arrive damaged but yes you are correct, it was three weeks until we opened it and it was therefor out with your returns policy of 24 hours (which as a tradesman seems unreasonable if you expect people such as me to open all parcels within 24hours.) My original beef with you was several fold. Firstly your staff could have simply said 'unfortunately you are out with our 24 hours return period and therefor must pay for a new panel'. Instead of that, your staff said the panel had been cut with a knife by me, then gouged coincidentally in the exact same spot as the knife cut.
And you guys could tell that from the two photos I sent you. What a pile of nonsense and I found it insulting that you implied at the outset of this dispute that your customer was dishonest. Based on that I then asked for your details so I could send you an e mail and could communicate directly with you and I was told that your contact details are not to be passed to customers. Please remember this is in an e mail to me in the event you dispute that. I didn't ask for your number but if I had I would have asked for your business number which may of course turn out to be your personal number but I wouldn't have asked for your personal number. If you don't want customers to have your personal number, buy a second phone for business purposes. You continue to suggest I did take delivery of the item and the item could have been used. Again this is not true. What is actually surprising about this is that you have adopted the same approach as last time and insulted your customer when in fact, with out the personal insult the out come would be the same. ie you could have said Mr Fraser under the circumstances we will replace the damaged sheet free of charge. In that instance I would have written a glowing review. However instead of doing that, you lay off about the panel being taken delivery off and implying I am dishonest, with the same outcome of sending me a refund and a new panel in due course. Instead and because of your approach you loose two customers. Me and my customer. It's an absurd way to do business. You state 'nearly' all your deliveries are trouble free. 'Nearly' being the key word. Also, I am a trades man and as such I can work out if a sheet can be used or not. It was the tongue was damaged and the edge of the board so it wasn't a length thing, it was the breadth that was important.
Also Gary the board would only be able to be trimmed at the ends if the space the board was going in to was shorter than the length of board wouldn't it?
The final insult is charging just under sixty pounds to deliver a single panel to Inverness from Glasgow.
I can get items shipped internationally for cheaper than that.
While you say in your response you have a date for the new batch of panels to arrive, you have not actually shared that date with me. All I was told, again by e mail, was the panels would be a minimum of six weeks to comeback in to stock.
All in all this has been a terrible experience and I have a very upset customer who has a panel missing on his wall for the foreseeable future and I don't get paid until the works complete.
We wont be dealing with you again and if we could source this else where we would. Customers should be aware of these delays

Hi Duncan,

Sadly it seems no matter what we do or say it won't be good enough. We will therefore refund you the delivery charge of £59.95. and you can then come and collect the panel from our depot in Hillington or arrange delivery of it yourself via a third party courier, given you can have it shipped internationally for cheaper. Gary has let me know that we have received a small number of panels in stock from our supplier but these won't be in stock for long and won't be back in again until June at the earliest. We will keep one aside for you to collect to finish off your job - but we won't be delivering it. Alternatively, we will refund your latest order and you can source the panel elsewhere.

Best Regards

Andy

Wet wall looks lovely on

1400069847 Wet wall, fittings (accessories) and adhesive ordered. A delay in shipping - but did receive an email from the owner asking me to share photos of the wet wall I had not received yet (disconnection there somewhere) - Short delivered accessories which eventually I found out were out of stock (told two stories) - Wet wall looks lovely on. Adhesive (Sovereign) didn’t work at all - affected by outside temperatures supposedly - even braced boards just slid off the wall. I had to laugh at that point - reverted to waterproof NM Nails which worked well. Refunded promptly for the adhesive and the non delivery. Response from owner Gary was positive customer care - promising refund of shipping charge - which was very much appreciated.

Hello I'm sorry your purchase did not work out as it should we have no excuse obviously a breakdown in communication with the staff. Your delay was due to the snow across Edinburgh that week and all deliveries were delayed . We have a range of different adhesives for different surfaces however when the temperature drops to zero the chemical will not set. We also sell the No More Nails for more robust areas . The missing black trim was due to shipping delays and you should have been informed. I have arranged for a refund of your shipping costs for the hassle.
We do offer various qualities of product based on what the customer wants. I hope your room looks good now .

Hello
Sorry you have had this problem but your fitter should really have used a screw to support the ceiling. There is a hidden flange to screw through also the trim usually supports the edges whilst the silicon or panel adhesive sets, do you know which one they used ? Please check you are using the correct adhesive for the wall panels . Silicon if you are going over tiles and panel adhesive on dry wall.
You can call us tomorrow at the store 0141 882 8275 and we will help with any installation queries.

Avoid!!

Avoid!!

The “T+G” (tongue and grove) on the pvc wet wall panels DO NOT CLICK TOGETHER at all.

They pull apart and leave a VERY BAD and VERY noticeable LINE that looks cheap and horrible in your bathroom.

Very poor quality, take time to invest in a more expensive product.

The lighter the colour of the panel the more noticeable the line. With that said T+G that does not snap into place is poor.

Hello . The Tongue and Groove is a slide mechanism and and not a click mechanism. At no point has any retailer said the the wall panels have a click lock joint . They are 100% waterproof wall panels from the small 25cm to the 100cm wide panels , they are all made the same way by every manufacturer including the wood manufacturers there is no way to hide what is there except in a print . The lines are only noticeable in the pale colours and in some prints they are not seen at all.If they are fitted properly then the lines are hardly seen at all. There are trims you can buy to use as a joining strip but this is more noticeable and this is why the tongue and groove was developed to allow the panels to slot together. The grey linen and white linen are very popular because the join is camouflaged with the print . The tile effects , our most popular use the line as part of the design like grout with tile.
If you slot the panels together when they arrive you will see the line that will appear when on the wall. If you are not happy with that then we can arrange to collect the panels and refund them for you. However if they are fitted then we cannot except them back . This is explained in our terms clearly online.
Some of our customers like the line as it make the panels look like large wall tiles which is very popular at the moment
I hope this makes the situation clearer for you
Best regards

This is my second attempt to write this…

This is my second attempt to write this review, as my initial review was rather incomplete and I felt the response I had from the company was rather insulting, so I actually deleted my 1st review.

We purchased 4 x Pearl White 1m x 2.4m Wide Wall Panel around late July 2020 in time for our bathroom renovation and we paid around £275. ( Affordable and reasonable price when compared to other trade companies)
We chose this company after researching customer reviews and also the affordability of price.

We received the panels soon after in timely manner however, we failed to check them immediately. This was due to personal circumstances and space management in terms of storing 4 fragile panels which were meant to be used immediately but that was no longer the case. Our bathroom renovation was delayed as a result of water leak and further arrangements that were required in order to repair.
We misjudged the "packaging" those panels were in was adequate and the panels would be in perfect condition.

Due to the delays on our behalf our bathroom plumber had to re-arrange his diary and push back our installation date to late August (21/08/20).

On 20th August me and my husband decided to open the packaging just to make sure everything was as it should be.

We discovered that 3 out of 4 panels were damaged ( two had bad broken off corners, one had around 30cm long damage on the edge).

We immediately contacted the company, and their first response was to blame why we had delayed it for almost a month, as their website t&c states you must report any damage goods within 24h of receipt.

Objectively speaking - most people do/should do/would do! Subjectively speaking in our defence - we had reasons why we couldn't/didn't do!

regardless we insisted our goods were replaced - they could not be used.

we spoke to "ANDY", the manager who conveyed what his "BOSS" had said. We had two options either get a full refund for all the goods or they will send us 3 replacement panels at £29.00 each.

We discussed our options, and we were not in a position to look for new panels, as our installation was set due in the morning!

We agreed to pay the extra £87 and receive them the next day.

As a consumer I know there could have been a compromise, but there wasn't. Although Andy did not insinuate it, he claimed his BOSS said that the panels may have been damaged while we were trying to install them.

This is a ridiculous allegation to make to someone who is a genuine customer.

At that point we just gave up the battle, it was not going anywhere and it was just waste of time and energy to continue disputing.

On 21st August 2020 we received the panels as arranged.

The delivery driver requested I took photos while the panels were in the van, in order to capture the damage of packaging and bad handling from the wear-house team that loaded them on to the truck.

Then we unpacked the panels, to discover one damaged with a bad dent on the back, reported that and got a refund of £29.

There was a second damaged panel - this could be worked with as it was not going to be used directly in the shower itself. Hence we thought we can live with that and not report that as damaged.

Now we are in a position where we have ordered 7 panels in total, used 4, 3 will be going to waste, because the seller failed to wrap them adequately, blamed the delivery companies for mishandling and us for not reporting within 24h.
If we had damaged those panels while trying to instal we would not be looking to pay for new panels, so this negates the claim/suggestion that we had done that.

I strongly believe it is the sellers responsibility to ensure goods are wrapped and packaged well enough to reach the buyers destination, if you are providing an online service and delivery.

Unfortunately the panels were not wrapped adequately.
Panels were placed in cardboard, then polyester pieces around them and a black cling foil to wrap the whole item.
There was no bubble wrapping or "fragile handle with care" warning message.

it is now 20:00 in the evening, 4 panels have been placed and the plumber has just said the panels are not of great quality, they are in fact of poor quality, they are not tongue and groove, as they don't pull together as they should, there is an obvious line. They are supposed to fit strongly joined together so no lines can be seen. They don't ...

just really disappointed and not interested in any response or excuse from the company, the reason I took time to sit and write this review is to give an insight of what we have experienced, and I hope no one else experiences the same.

Shame!

Hello
I'm sorry you have had this hassle but we need an appropriate response time from our customers to tell TNT that they have damaged the panels. No matter how well they are wrapped damages do happen. However waiting one month to check your product leaves us with no way to respond to TNT.
I suggested the lower price of £29 per panel to help you out as we have still to pay for the shipping again which from the size of the panels you can clearly see is considerable as is the expensive styrofoam used to surround each panel. Over 98% of TNT deliveries are without damage and we do replace free of charge any damages in those cases as clearly stated in our dispatch email Please Check The Panels. The fact that you overlooked and ignored this is unfortunate .
We have experimented with numerous packaging and the current packaging we have been using for over a year gives the best form of grip and ease of lifting for the delivery driver.
As for customers and tradesmen damaging them , it does happen. We do have customers call us to say they were damaged in the garage or the joiner walked over them and can we send out replacements.
As for the quality our panels are of course tongue and grooved as we only sell this type of product and of course you can see a join as there is one. There is no way of hiding this unless it is concealed within the pattern.
You are clearly upset but if you look at our previous reviews we have always tried to help our customers and give the best service we can.
