Wickes - Borehamwood Reviews 

I had a brilliant experience with Jason at Wickes in Borehamwood. He was extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and incredibly patient. He was quick to assist me and took the time to make sure I fully understood everything—nothing was rushed or overlooked. It really made a difference to feel so well supported. Thank you, Jason!

I wanted to replace the damaged toilet seat that came with the bathroom I had bought from Wickes a couple years back the manager went all out , checked my bathroom order from back then to get exact specifications, placed the order tracked it and informed me of the delivery date, customer service per excellence , thank you to the manager and his team

Needed to change some grouting sand to a different colour. Unfortunately the purchase date was beyond the 30 day period. The manage Dulcy was very helpful in tracing the order and helping with the exchange! Borehamwood store.

Yesterday, we had a home visit from Suchita to discuss and make some proposal with the replacement of our existing bathroom. The meeting was a good eye opener and that was no pressure put on us to use Wickes. We look forward for our follow up meeting to review the proposed design and the proposed cost. Thank you Suchita.

This store used to be good but the employee Reece is very abrupt and immature when I tried to talk to him. He looked blank. Not helpful at all.

Great shopping experience in Borehamwood today, Kam is a great asset to your company.

Staff member Kam was helpful from the start. He guided me as to exactly what I required for the job, helped lift and carry the heavy items and helped load onto my trailer. A most helpful and knowledgeable chap that made shopping here a pleasant experience.

I have been to wickes borehamwood many times. I have spoken to Suhail, he is very knowledgeable about kitchens and bathrooms. He helped me put together both for a full refurbishment. I am so happy. Could not recommend Suhail more.

Wanted an item from the store but had no idea where to look for it. Jason came to my rescue and led me to the right aisle and selected the exact item I needed. Talk about service with a smile. What service and what a smile!

I had an amazing experience with Leonie during my home measure. My in store design appointment was outstanding, she was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and made the entire process enjoyable. I would highly recommend Leonie to anyone considering a kitchen project.

Wonderful quality kitchen at great price!

Paul and Suhail have been a fantastic help, both in designing a beautiful space but providing quick and easy support whenever we had any questions. The carcasses are very sturdy and the doors and worktops are lovely!

The design appointment was very easy going, Paul was very helpful and created somewhere that was exactly as we had envisioned. We appreciated the range of different options available to us

If I could write a MINUS star rating I would.

The experience my mum had from Wickes was the worst anyone could ask for.

After their designer messing up the entire kitchen design, taking no responsibility for his mistakes and being rude to my mum, eventually my mum's builder made the kitchen.

Pieces don't fit correctly, some part are shoddy and my mum paid nearly a thousand pounds extra for him to fix up Wicke's mistake.

Despote acknowledhing all this in various emails and phone calls, including recognising the behaviour of the designer being 'not professional', they offered my mum no compensation.

We asked for just enough to cover the extra work, and some for stress and poorer products than paid for.

Nothing. This multi-million pound company would rather spend time argueing in emails over and over again about why they won't give my mum compensation and admit some fault, than simply pay a small fee to make a customer happy.

In the end, after going via the OMBUDSMAN they finally agreed to some compensation of - can you believe it - £150!!!

AND, not only that, they said to receive it my mum would have to sign a non-disclosure agreement stating that she wouldn't tell anyone about the whole thing.

Of course she refused to sign.

My mum is now, resentfully paying off her over-priced kitchen and trying not to notice all the faults.

The behaviour of Wickes' head office and customer service teams is absolutely disgraceful.

My mum had been asked by several friends since for recommendations for kitchen and each and everyone of them was told - stay clear of Wickes and has done.

The power of word of mouth is strong and I cannot believe that Wickes did not simply apologise for their errors, write a £3000 cheque, which is not even 20% of what my mum paid, and a dent in their bank balance, to make her a happy customer.

They didn't offer to come around and fix the errors themselves with their own building team, or anything.

Utterly Disgraceful.

UPDATE - as you can see from the cr*p response. They didn't read the issue properly and they just say the word sorry because they are concerned people may see this review. But they don't offer to reach out and rectify the problem.

Judge for yourselves everyone, this is a terrible company - don't trust them.
