Had the kitchen design done with Leonie who didn't explain properly and clearly all facts from the beginning. Then a friend installed my kitchen bought from them and I had the Wickes splashbacks left to install, which was a nightmare. We spoke to Jason who works at Wickes Borehamwood and he RECOMMENDED someone who INSTALLS Wickes splashbacks, called Elliot, and gave us his contact number. The recommended "professional" guy destroyed 2 splashbacks in 10 minutes as he cut it all wrong.
Loss of money and a lot of stress caused by trusting Wickes and their advice.
I called the customer service and spoke to Bill on Tuesday the 5th of November and said that he will contact the store to get in touch with me and I insisted for the Branch Manager to do this. And no one from the store rang me back. On one evening, we had to buy some extra bits and I asked a member of staff when is the Branch Manager going to be in and the answer was "don't know". I used to work for a company where the Branch Manager showed up whenever he wanted and used to have his team run the store and go through all the stress and hard work; so most likely it's the same case at this store. How can the Branch Manager not have a rota and his staff members be aware of his schedule? I then popped in on Sunday the 10th of November and spoke to Harp who had an attitude like I was the one who has committed a crime and asked me to send the details and said that he will lead an INVESTIGATION. He replied to my email today with a lot of bluffing and still the Branch Manager is too important to grab the phone and ring me to discuss about what happened; of course, first of all if he turns up to work. They probably forget that customers are paying their wages and keep the business. I am a worker myself and I treat my customers with care and respect and never forget that I got the job because they make the business run. I did spend a bit of money with them for my home renovation but will definitely AVOID them in the future and spread the words around about my experience, so hopefully others don't have to face the same distress.
I'm planning to do more extensive works on my current property and Harp was "very kind" to say that "I will do my best to ensure you have a smooth journey on the next project".
I feel that once they get your money, even if something goes wrong, they don't care at all and they actually have the arrogance to try and make you look like the culprit.
From this hard learned lesson I know that I will avoid Wickes in the future and go to either Magnet, Howdens, etc where you can get the right service and attitude for what you pay.
It's a pity because there are quite a few very nice and hard working people at the Borehamwood branch but the main ones are very wrong, arrogant and unhelpful and as the saying goes: "a fish rots from the head".

I recently had a pleasure of receiving help from Harpal while choosing a new bath and I couldn’t be more grateful for his help. His extensive knowledge and made the entire process very easy and seamless. Extremely helpful and friendly individual. Thank you ever so much Harpal for your outstanding support.

My kitchen man was great he just came in got on with the job was polite and thoughtful couldn't have asked for better. The Wicks representative who dealt with everything from their end was great and very professional. There were a few problems with delivery with incorrect items being dispatched. Both Lee and Sue were just great I was impressed.

I arrived seeking assistance with my tiles, lacking expertise and in need of a sink. Typically, I find store staff unhelpful or disinterested, but Employee Hameem was different. Hameem greeted me with a friendly smile and was eager to assist. I was extremely satisfied with the service received. Hameem truly deserves recognition and advancement within the company.

Because of Mr Suhail I feel like I can really trust Wickles and I will continue shopping here. Thank you for improving my life! When I was struggling to make our bathroom Mr Suhail provided an exceptional service and helped me to understand the real meaning of design.

I recently purchased a new kitchen from Wickes; a major investment I’ve been saving for over years.
What an unmitigated nightmare!
They were lovely in store, but beyond that, no help whatsoever. I was told in store that delivery would be to my flat, followed up by an online questionnaire detailing access requirements. No issues were identified and yet practically the entire kitchen was dumped ‘kerbside’ for me to take up myself.
In store I was told everything would come in a maximum of 2 deliveries; the reality is, I’ve now lost count of the number, but we’re into double-figures.
A number of the items arrived damaged and had to be refused or returned.
Customer services have no clue, passing you from one agent to another and often provided conflicting information between them, the store and their couriers. I spent hours waiting for deliveries that never arrived and hours on the phone trying to remedy the mess.
Finally, Wickes’ kitchen measurements were wrong, costing additional fitter fees and new flooring. The installation was meant to take 3 days; with the scale of the problems caused by Wickes, 3 weeks later, we’re still not done.
Please save yourself the hassle, buy your new kitchen from Wren or Howdens.
ADDENDUM: no doubt Wickes will post a reply below stating how sorry they are for this customer experience … etc, but we all know that the real reason for such a response is to stick a plaster over their damaged reputation, not due to a genuine sympathy. I can say this with confidence having spoken to customer services, the store, and delivery depot over 50 times on the phone over the last few weeks trying to resolve their mess. It was the same story every time: blame another division of Wickes; it’s not our fault. No-one takes responsibility for the overall customer experience or seeks to fully ameliorate the situation. That is why their words are empty and merely aimed at healing their image rather than the very real customer trauma.
UPDATE 09/09/24: I responded to Wickes’ request for further information below within hours of receipt of it. A week later, nothing: no acknowledgement of the information sent, let alone any hint of a resolution.
As already stated their responses to customer complaints online are simply window-dressing for image protection. As one customer service representative told me: once they have your money, Wickes does not care about the rest of the consumer experience. In my experience, that would appear to be true.
UPDATE 14/09/24: Almost two weeks have passed, FB, since my response to your request for further information below. As yet, I have heard nothing further from you. What would be a reasonable time frame for customers to wait to hear from you, so issues can be resolved?

Visited the Borehamwood Store on 4 occasions to purchase a kitchen. 1st visit was good and we liked the product and was shown the design kit and how this works. Told to come back with measurements when we were ready for a fitting & purchase. Visited again on Saturday 27th to try and place an order bit as only 1 assistant was in attendance was asked to "come back tomorrow" when 3 people would be around to assist. Visited again on Sunday 28th to only again find 1 person who was with customers he said that no-one else was around to help. Left the store very frustrated. Then found, online, an appointment booking system which I used to book for today Tuesday 30th. When we arrived we were told that it would be a design appointment only!. When I advised that we had already done this, all I was offered was another appointment to come back, yet again, for a fitting appointment. I had pictures measurements and kitchen required with me but the assistant wouldn't help. I then became angry & frustrated which I'm ashamed to admit but the general unhelpfulness from your store from a customer that was wanting to spend a considerable amount of money was astounding. I can't give you the assistance name as he refused to give it to me!.
DO NOT USE TO BUY A KITCHEN
