Wickes - Bournemouth Reviews 

I had my new kitchen designed by Mark James at Wickes in Bournemouth and couldn't have been better looked after. He listened to what I wanted and the result couldn't have been better, in fact all the staff I had contact with were most helpful and supportive over a process which took longer than it should have due to me using my own fitters.

Magda from Bournemouth branch was incredibly professional and made the process increadibly easy to navigate. She was really helpful at every stage I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for kitchen / bathroom design support!

A very positive start on our journey for a new kitchen, Mark phoned us to ensure appointment was still convenient. Arrived on time, a very professional at all times. He listened to what we wanted to achieve, and then came up with ideas that we had not thought about, looking forward to seeing the design next week.

I booked an appointment for an in-store design consultation at Wickes Bournemouth as I was looking to purchase a new kitchen, I can’t praise Magda enough for all the help and guidance she gave us throughout the whole process, nothing was too much trouble for her , Magda was very professional and approachable and at the same time very kind , we just wanted to thank her for all her help in making this process easier for us.

Went to our local Wickes to purchase some tools to get the garden into shape. Found everything needed as the aisles were clearly marked and prices were reasonable. Store was exceptionally clean and tidy with no intrusive background music. Staff were busy but available if needed. Customer service was exceptional.

Staff members advice and expertise saved me from wasting time and money on a decking stripper that wouldn't be effective removing a water based stain. Very glad I asked first.

We had a kitchen designed by Magda, from the Bournemouth store in July 2024.
Magda was kind, courteous and very helpful. She took the time to show us various options and layouts until we decided on the right one for us.
We couldn't have been happier with the results.
I would happily recommend Magda and Wickes to anyone looking for a new kitchen.

We've ordered a kitchen and bathroom from Wickes in Poole and have dealt with Mr Tom Burt, design consultant throughout. Tom has attended our property and in all dealings with him he has been ultra professional, knowledgeable, supportive and gracious. He is an asset to Wickes. Hannah and I would like his work recognised please. Tom has been above and beyond in all he does. Thankyou.

Took an item back to Poole branch today. Lady on customer helpdesk could not have been more helpful. Her name is Emily. If Wickes have a staff reward and recognition scheme, this is my nomination. Great service, no nonsense attitude, helpful and friendly. Well done.

Charmaine ( the planner) was prompt and friendly. She explained her recommendations and made helpful suggestions of what would work well and look good taking into consideration my budget. Ilook forward to seeing her plan

Disappointing home visit to discuss bathroom design. Quite a negative start as Mark didn’t really understand why he was visiting and told me straight off the bathroom would cost £12k at least after I said everything was to be done - I had emailed on the website stating this was a bathroom design visit but this info doesn’t show up on their phone, only the name and address of person enquiring! (I have the smallest bathroom). I advised him I would be using my own plumber and was looking for a bathroom design using their products but he didn’t bring a brochure to go through possible options. Once I said I’d be using my own plumber to install, he perked up and took measurements and advised me to look at the website to look at bathroom options as I was unable to get to the store in the week due to work.
Have given an extra star only because he has advised I have tiles on top of tiles from last owner who did the bathroom up on the cheap.

I have only ever given 1 poor review, but had to advise of my experience.
Kitchen looks great in the end, but the process was extremely stressful.
I spent £10,500 on a Wickes kitchen, plus another £1,750 for fitting, and the experience fell far below what I expected. The salesperson couldn’t tell me who the fitters were or what they charged, which didn’t inspire confidence. The first fitter they sent was rude and unprofessional, said my current kitchen was poor quality and no wonder you are changing it, said my tiles were poor quality and overall was disrespectful and dismissive so I asked for a replacement. The second fitter was excellent, but what was supposed to be a 15‑day job dragged on for over four months.
There were damaged parts, repeated delays, and I had to keep clearing my kitchen every time someone came back. Over 23 emails and made more than 20 calls, and customer services constantly gave excuses or took days to respond. It didn't give my confidence in their ability. I do like the finished kitchen and the quality is good, but the aftercare and communication were very poor. Based on the overall experience, I wouldn’t choose Wickes again.

I ordered and paid a deposit for a new Bathroom, happy with a 9 week wait. Plumber came out, everything in process. Call from wicks telling me that the plumber was unable to do the job and I’d have to wait 5 months or find my own installer! After 2 months backwards and forwards choosing the perfect bathroom I cancelled and got my money back. Will never use or recommend wicks.

We have just ordered our new kitchen and Tom, our Design Consultant at the Bournemouth store, was excellent. His friendly approach and broad knowledge of the products (including appliances), design options and the technical specialist work we would need made the whole process very straightforward and enjoyable. Mark James at Bournemouth store was excellent at understanding our requirements and designed a lovely kitchen for us. We are delighted with the result and would highly recommend this company to others.

I got very muddled at the tills trying to use a gift card (hadn’t realised it had to be activated) and a loyalty discount card (which needed the balance added).
The lady was very pleasant and patient and helped me do it all - great customer service!

Came to wickes to design a kitchen with Tom, amazing service from start to finish, very accommodating and we never felt pressured at anytime.

Consultant listened to our wishes and came up with a great solution which was confirmed when we saw the final design. A competitive price was offered.

Had our kitchen designed at the Bournemouth store. Good friendly service, and after an initial concern we were advised to a very good fitter. Would add on reflection the unit value for money is not the best however they are decent. We did opt for a 'hot tap' which again, on reflection, wouldn't recommend, a very noisy boiler/heater placed under the sink and the added cost (£70 per time)of replacing water filter every six months
