Brilliant customer service

We had such a positive shopping experience at the Bracknell branch of Wickes due to the friendly and very helpful assistance of Stan. Nothing was too much trouble for Stan. He willingly went above and beyond to assist us with our search for end of range flooring. We left the store feeling so thankful for our purchase due to Stan’s input and focussed customer attention. Well done Stan. We need more people like you!

No Show, No Call, No Care!

I visited the store to book a kitchen design appointment, which was scheduled for the following day. Unfortunately, no one turned up. I called the store and was told the original designer was unavailable — a courtesy call to inform me would have been appreciated.
I was then told someone else would be attending, but after waiting another 30 minutes with no update or arrival, I had to leave to return to work. Extremely poor communication and customer service. Would not recommend.

New fitted kitchen

We had Nick Badman kitchen designer to design our kitchen which we are so pleased with, we can't thank him enough for the design even things we wasn't sure of at 1st are amazing along with Phil and his team of fitters, electrician and plasterer it's fantastic.thank you so much Brenda and Tim

Bathroom reno through Wickes - superjob!

We’ve just had our bathroom renovation designed and fitted through Wickes and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

From the very start, the designer, Courtney Bygrave, was brilliant. She really listened to what we wanted, made some great suggestions, and came up with a design that suited both our space and budget.

The fitters were excellent too, hardworking, tidy, and clearly knew their stuff. The finish is spot on and the attention to detail really shows.

A smashing job overall, and I’d happily recommend Wickes to anyone looking to redo their bathroom.

Most rude staff I’ve ever encountered…

Most rude staff I’ve ever encountered partner came in to collect a click and collect parcel today of spindles and a piece of timber on arrival the spindles were all split and the length of timber was not straight at all so my partner asked for a set that’s fit for purpose rather than something that looks like it came out a skip and the guy said if you
U don’t like it go and get it yourself attitude problem and no customer service at all… so my partner went and got it himself for the silly checkout girl to try and stop him to pay again when she already new it was a click and collect item

Refreshing change in customer service - Ian at Bracknell in Storage Area

Could not find required Gravel type, asked a retail assistant and they could not find it either but, they asked Ian in the storage area. Despite being busy he stopped what he was doing immediately, looked all around storage area and after eventually finding it, moved number of items with Forklift to get to item required. Despite only requiring a few bags he would not stop until found it, and double checked it was right type. It could have been so easy to just say we are out of stock or not available but, he certainly wouldn’t. Before leaving I asked to speak to manager just to recognise Ian’s commitment and service, the Manager was very friendly and listened, so good to see as well. What a refreshing change to customer service by Ian and Wickes should recognise Ian and his approach to do everything he can to help no matter how small….. what a credit to the company and lots to learn from him !!

Waited over 20 mins for an order I made…

Waited over 20 mins for an order I made on line. Was told it was ready via text. When asked where it was they gave me half my order couldn't find the other items. Im sorry screwfix amd B & Q for me from now on.

Truly awful

Truly awful, design was poorly measured and half of the products didn't arrive or were incorrect despite planning (and payment) months in advance. No response to calls or emails for 4 working days, avoid avoid avoid

Excellent service from the Bracknell Store

Courtney who is a designer in the Bracknell store was amazing and very easy to work with. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
My fitter was excellent and worked efficiently and was neat and tidy. The customer service team were also very efficient and it was easy to get hold of them
The only thing that was a slight niggle was that the deliveries came in 7 consignments all at differing times of the day and it wasn't particularly consumer friendly when trying to keep track of what was delivered and when. Also a couple of consignments were late and didn't arrive until 2 or 3 days later.

A great end result and a very positive experience

With the help of Wickes our bathroom renovation journey was made much easier. We live in a Victorian property, where no updating is easy, but we are extremely happy with the end result. Our Design Consultant, Courtney Bygrave was fantastic. She was friendly, positive and extremely helpful. We made numerous changes to the initial design and more changes as the project progressed- she was always happy to help. The builder and bathroom installer who completed our project, Bogdan Pietraszko, was amazingly talented and hard working. He completed the building work, plumbing, electrics and fitting to an extremely high standard. Unfortunately, changes had to be made to our original plan and costs did rise, but he did give us options and prices before going ahead. Our one slight negative was that the design element and installation seem quite split. However, the fact that Wickes sourced an excellent builder for us and we had the peace of mind that we could call on Wickes for help if necessary, made the project feel much easier.

Do Not waste your time for an in store appointment

Spent a considerable amount of my time detailing exact measurements and headed off to an hours appointment with Courtney.
Despite my telling Courtney that I had the exact dimensions of the kitchen she maintained a stance that she would have to initially visit.
In that case, why waste my time for a complete hour when all along she wanted to firstly visit. I could not see what she wanted to say in that hour in store.
Do all Wickes staff have this intransigent attitude ?
She managed to rattle of some off the top of her head price of £12,000 to include a £4000 or so figure to fit the kitchen, but absolutely refused to plan out something that I had already ensured would fit the dimensions to give at least a figure on the cabinet prices.
That would have been a good starting point, and at that point if the cabinet prices were within budget, then I would like a detailed quote . At that point I would have been happy to let someone visit.
However, Courtney decided that she wanted to control the situation, so the visit ended in one inevitable conclusion.
That is - Wickes wont firstly supply me either with a kitchen or any other item.
A salutary lesson in how not to accommodate a customer. In fact - how to irritate a customer

Appalling customer service

Placed an online order for a shower cubicle . Paid for delivery. Item arrived with all rollers missing . Had to wait for a replacement to be sent out . This arrived and part of it was damaged. Called customer services and they apologised and I asked if I could go to the branch that they told me the item was sent from and just exchange the damaged parts as my husband only had today to fit the unit . The customer service colleague said he would call bracknell branch and ask if this was possible. He came back to me and said that it was ok for me to take back just the damaged part and that the branch would open one in stock and swap the parts for me . I went to the bracknell branch and on arrival nobody knew anything about my call to customer services. A really sarcastic comment from a staff member named Liam was that customer services was separate and had nothing to do with the branch at all . If this is the case then what is the point of customer service. When I asked to speak to a manager after waiting almost 10 minutes and no manager appeared i asked Liam how long the manager was going to be he was extremely rude in his reply and just said I don't know he then went on to add you can't just replace the parts you will leave us with 2 faulty packs . I tried to explain to him that they would not have 2 faulty packs as I was not returning the whole pack just the faulty parts . He just couldn't grasp this and still insisted they knew nothing about customer service and I could not do what I had been advised. The manager eventually arrived and he too could not grasp that all he had to do was open the box instore and swap over my damaged parts leaving him with 1 faulty pack He also insisted he would be left with 2 faulty packs . I explained again and he eventually seemed to grasp things .He then proceeded to the stock opened a box and swapped over my damaged parts . No word of apology at all . I am shocked that Wickes have such poor customer service in that they clearly didn't do what they had told me and the fact that they have such poor customer service instore both from the shopfloor to the manager . I paid for delivery and ended up having to go instore anyway to swap the damaged parts . 2 deliveries and a trip to store to get 1 item . WICKES GENERIC REPLY JUST CONFIRMS HOW LITTLE THEY CAN BE BOTHERED

Visited the Bracknell store today when…

Visited the Bracknell store today when I walked around the corner I walked straight through a pile of sand and paint that had been spilt on the floor. There was no sign up, no one guarding to ensure no one walks through or has an accident with the mess and it was not cornered off. My shoes are now ruined covered in paint my jeans are ruined also covered in paint when I went to customer services although he was trying to be as helpful as he could there was no incident book or anywhere for me to report this or speak to the manager. Disgusted that there is nothing in place for accidents, this could have been so much more serious if I had fallen over! No offer of compensation or help at all!

Came in not really knowing what i was…

Came in not really knowing what i was looking for in terms of paint for my house renovation however Keira approached me and was more than helpful and talked me though various different options and in the end helped me make a decision that was perfect for me !!

She was so lovely and couldn’t of asked for a better experience in Bracknell wicks , I will definitely be returning in future for help on my next projects !!!

New bathroom

We recently ordered a new bathroom and the design process (with Nick) was easy. He was helpful and talked us through all the options. The install date was agreed and a lot quicker than we had expected.

We then had Arek and his team come into complete the install. There were some small delays but these were communicated to us and the change in install date agreed.

The installation went very well, with a couple of minor issues resolved quickly. The quality of the work was first rate.

We are really happy with the whole process and would be happy to recommend Wickes, Nick and Arek.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service , sent a grass trimmer in a damaged parcel , wouldn’t refund the delivery fee for the hassle of contacting them , return and collection. I wouldn’t recommend to buy anything from this shop .
