Wickes - Canning Town Reviews 

I’ve been coming to the Canning Town branch for over 6 months for my house reno! From clock and collects, in store purchases to advice the team are so helpful. Thanks to Shabz and Oliur for all the help today!

Went in today just to grab a few plumbing bits, Guys on the front a Shabs and Jordan was very helpful finding me the last of a few items.

Only 4 star because whenever I come in to this store it just always seems to be those two staff members which feels odd.

I came to the store in the evening on Thursday 15th January. There were two members of staff on the shop floor. I noticed that the shop was very busy and they were helping customers. Both men were very polite and happily agreed to assist me in lifting some heavy equipment. Oliur, one of the members of staff, showed me some small bits and pieces for plumbing that I was struggling to find and was very helpful in doing so. He also helped me to lift some toilets onto my trolley as they were too heavy for me to carry. In the meantime, Shabz loaded 15 boxes of tiles onto my trolley. I really appreciate their help and overall had a great experience with this company. Due to my age, I was having a hard time moving my items from the shelves to my trolley, but the customer service here made it much easier as the workers wasted no time before coming to help me.

Great staff. All helpful and useful advice. Shabz one of them who helped me to get right measurement for laminate flooring. Also helped to choose underlays. I really appreciated

Terrible. Unhelpful staff who wouldnt look in the back for items showing 24 in stock but not on shelf. Customer service non existant.

I’m very disappointed with my recent order from Wick. I paid for home delivery expecting the items to be brought to my doorstep, but instead the driver expected me—a single mum—to collect heavy tiles from the main door. This defeats the whole purpose of home delivery. I asked the driver to take the order back, as it was impossible for me to carry them inside, and now the company says they’ll still charge me for delivery. Poor service and a complete lack of understanding of customers’ needs.

Shabz the floor manager took care of us when we went in for flooring. He helped us pick the best one for us helping us look within our budget. He was very polite and Courteous. Would come back again just to say hi to Shabz.

Customer service very rude and he was very angry 😡 I asked about some items he said I am a Bilder Asian guy long beard 🧔‍♂️

Why I have given the Canning Town branch a 5.

1.contact on the phone prior to visiting (five star) customer service
2. Arrived at the store, approached a member of staff to help me with my fencing needs. ( Walked to the section and he discussed my options and how to go forward with a bulk purchase ( five star service again).

Visited the cashier to place a click and collect service for a cooker hob. ( Query raised re delivery cost). Again appreciated the thoughtful and respectful approach) ( 5 star service again re customer service)

On the day I w as assisted by 4 staff members at the canning town branch all can be described as giving a 5 star service.

I rarely complete a review/feedback questionnaire but greatly appreciated the excellent service I received and felt it necessary as all the staff I came in contact with exceeded my expectations in terms of how helpful they all were.

Shabs, thank-you for sorting the tiles for me, you took away my stressful day.

The staffs are very friendly especially Shabz who helped me resolve an issue very quickly and professionally.

I would just like to say that my recent visit to wickes (canning town) branch was an absolute pleasure, I was helped by Zee followed by the manager shabz in helping we with building materials and paints, they both helped me choose the right materials and advice I needed to understand the correct materials, they were amazing from start to finish, I usually don't go to wickes as I find the service to be very poor and no one is usually not around, however this time round the experience was just what I needed to build confidence to continue going to the branch, these two individuals should be considered for better managerial position.5 star service t

Back again to Wickes yesterday to buy more stuff. Maz (who greeted me with a smile and asked about my injured foot) was about to finish her shift but still offered to help pick up what I needed, then left me in the hands of Earnest who was very helpful afterwards. Honestly great customer service from both and so kind to even help pout my purchse into my booked cab. Thank you so much.

Went to wickes in Canning Town. These lot are legend, doing the task of a 100 men yet still keep a smile on their face and provide 10/10 customer service. I was served by Samad today and hope he gets recognised for his hard work!
