Very Good experience

Visited Wickes at Chesterfield looking for a flush button, were helped by a very pleasant young lady (Sara) who helped us to find what we needed - not in the first place we looked, but it was in the second place she showed us. Would recommend for service and range of products.

Needed to set up a trade pro account. Ian was very obliging, helpful and set me up in a matter of minutes. Then talked me through the App. Good old fashioned customer service! Brilliant guy.

I’m in the middle of a full house renovation and Wickes, Chesterfield, has pretty much become my home from home. 😂 The prices are very competitive, there have been some fantastic offers and the staff have been really helpful. Sally, the manager, is great and truly goes above and beyond for customers.

Having purchase Wickes home brand exterior wood paint, on recommendation by customer services online, and my tradesman spending 2-3hrs working on the eves of the house, the paint was quite literally looking like clear lacquer. Phoning the store and speaking with Ian at the till, he recommended a Dulux alternative which was brilliant. He also flagged the poor reviews on the wickes product. Ian’s help and recommendation got the job done properly. Thanks Ian!

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I experienced on my recent visit to Wickes, and unfortunately this is not a one-off incident.

Before serving me, the same member of staff had already upset two customers ahead of me. They walked away visibly disgruntled after something he said, while he repeatedly shouted after them, “Do you want the receipt?” When they ignored him, he turned to me and shook his head.

I was simply collecting two tubs of plaster for my husband and presented a screenshot of his trade card. While I understand that screenshots may not be accepted if that is company policy, the way this was handled was unnecessarily rude and condescending. He asked me to open the app in a tone that implied I should not have the card at all, and when I explained it was my husband’s, he continued in an abrupt and off-hand manner, repeatedly tapping the sign in front of him instead of speaking to me politely.

I remained calm and accommodating throughout and even offered to phone my husband so he could place a click-and-collect order. When I couldn’t reach him, I decided to pay myself just to avoid further hassle. At this point, the staff member scanned the same tub three times (we both clearly heard three beeps) and attempted to charge me for three tubs when I only had two. I had to correct him, and despite the obvious mistake, there was no apology or acknowledgement — he simply continued with the transaction in silence.

What upset me most is that this behaviour has happened multiple times. My husband has experienced rudeness from this same staff member on several occasions, and on a previous visit he was even rude to my daughter, telling her off for sitting on a trolley bed. This pattern of behaviour is unacceptable.

There are polite and respectful ways to explain company policies, and this was not one of them. Wickes seriously needs to address this situation, as it reflects very poorly on customer service standards and leaves customers feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

When Dean visited me at home he was very open to my ideas and his guidance was superb. He was fantastic around the fine details and I can't wait to have my dream kitchen fitted . I would 100% recommend Dean to my family & friends .

Full kitchen refit - fully satisfied from help & advice from consultant to Wickes recommended fitter. Astonished to see bad reviews re customer service - I found any issues were quickly resolved, albeit minor ones. Wickes Chesterfield

Been a lot over the years for projects big and small and the staff are super knowledgeable and keen to help.

Went to chesterfield Wickes at weekend, fabulously helpful staff!! Clean and tidy shop too, it’s my go to place now

I visited Chesterfield Wickes i would normally go to sutton becouse i really had a bad experience at Chesterfield but on Sunday I needed some plumbing bits,
Walked into the store it was very busy Jason i know from sutton the ops manager was being pulled from pillar to post i waiting 5 mins till he was free.
Asking him for some more advice he was brilliant again walked me to the products showing me how it works.
He was so helpful i have been in before and had a grumpy young manager before so I was so stand off.
But I am so glade I waited for him again.
It was nice to see him at Chesterfield i can now use it again i hope.

Thank you Dan for gong the extra mile for us today, digging out pvcu soffit from the depths of the warehouse and saving my plans which we thought where in ruins!! Wickes, you need to give your staff a pay rise!

From initial contact, through design, ordering, delivery and installation absolutely no complaints.

Needed help today to purchase some items. Ian immediately was willing with a friendly face come and to our aid. He came down the aisle we needed and pointed out which items would best suit our needs. He didn't pressure us to make a purchase simply showed what would be suitable to compete the job.
We were very pleased with the customer service we received today from Ian at Chesterfield Wickes.

Doing a decorating project and wasn’t sure what paint to buy. A member of staff was very helpful and helped me get everything I needed. Really happy with the service and will definitely shop here again.

I recently called in to Wickes Chesterfield to buy some laminate flooring. I will be honest, I didn’t have the first clue of how many packs I would need and was a little hesitant to ask as didn’t want to be a pain! My worries were soon forgotten when a lovely gentleman asked if I needed any help and gave me advice on how many packs I would need. He helped me load them onto my trolley and took me to the checkout. Once I had paid for my items the gentleman then helped me to take these to my car. This was first class service and I would highly recommend. I look forward to returning to Wickes Chesterfield in the future for my next home project.
