Wickes - Leicester Thurmaston Reviews 

Great service from my local Wickes store in Thurmaston. With the help of a young manager with glasses (forgot his name) I was able to get everything I needed for a shed base for my new home. Thanks

Adam Wells was fantastic, understood what we were looking for in a kitchen, was patient, took time to run through the options and ultimately designed our perfect kitchen.

Customer service was amazing. A massive thank you to Olivia who took the time to help.me find the right product. The product i want does not really exist however Olivia took the time to understand whatvi needed and found me a work around. Thank you so much.

I had so much help from both Keira and Olivia, on Friday. They both were really friendly and chatty, and were willing to help me with everything I needed. Thank you so much to these two, they really made my day.

I would like to say how fantastic Sharon was My husband and I went into the Thurmaston branch of Wickes for some strimmer wire Were both in our seventies and needed some help accessing the correct one Sharon was so helpful even coming to the car to view the strimmer then googling what we needed She went above and beyond and said I`m just doing my job If only everyone did there job as well as Sharon Fantastic

I've been waiting 6 months for the bathroom I paid for to be installed.

To begin with everything was going well: the design consultant knew what he was doing and the process seemed to be going well without any issues.

Then they assigned a fitter that B&Q removed from my kitchen installation the year before (I then found out from the Wickes design consultant that the fitter's work mate was stealing the products when they were being delivered).
They then assigned another fitter who quoted £2000 more than the design consultant quoted (including charging for things that weren't needed). Obviously we asked for another fitter.

We are still waiting...

Customer services are no help either.
Wickes only contact me if I chase them up, despite repeated promises to keep me updated.

Today we were assigned another fitter: actually, it was the same guy who quoted us £2000 more than the design consultant's quote months ago. So, I've declined them again...

We went with Wickes because they seemed to be the cheapest. Big mistake!

I just want the bathroom I've paid for for the price I was quoted originally (or reasonably close to it). I don't think I'm asking for much.

Very helpful in helping us design our en-suite, we would certainly not hesitate to recommend Wicks and to consider you for future projects.

Visited the thurmaston store, had an appointment with Adam Wells to design my bathroom, he was friendly, polite and extremely knowledgeable. He didn't make it feel like a business deal instead like he was genuinely interested in getting me my ideal bathroom, was a pleasure to deal with and gave me loads of sound advice. Top bloke, would recommend seeking him out if you're heading to the thurmaston store to get your bathroom done.

We applied for the Community Grant from Wickes Thurmaston, received a positive response within hours, selected the products that we wanted and collected within 4 days. The help and service was fantastic and the generosity to our cause overwhelming. Thankyou to the staff and Store Manager.

Went to order a kitchen at Thurmaston branch, and after meeting Adam Wells he made us completely welcome and he was very knowledgeable about all your kitchens. After planning the layout with us he made us feel we had made the right choice for are budget. Thanks again

I booked a kitchen appointment with Wickes as part of planning a new kitchen for my home extension in Loughborough. Although the extension hasn’t been built yet, I have approved architectural drawings that include the exact measurements, and I am currently waiting to confirm the kitchen layout with my builder prior to starting the extension in the next couple of weeks.

Other kitchen companies were happy to use these drawings to prepare draft designs and indicative quotes so I could compare options before construction begins.

However, Wickes informed me that they do not provide design or planning information unless an order is placed, which meant the appointment would not help me evaluate their design or pricing. As a result, the appointment was cancelled.

The staff were friendly and polite, but the policy felt quite inflexible, especially when planning a significant investment like a new kitchen. That said, I do appreciate that they communicated their policy so it didn’t waste my time or theirs.

If you are planning a kitchen as part of a home extension and want to compare designs and prices before building work starts, this policy may make it difficult to evaluate Wickes alongside other kitchen companies.

Got a bathroom quote from Wickes Leicester and had the friendliest, most patient designer ever - thank you Adam Wells! I’m probably not even going to bother getting another quote because yours was so comprehensive and really thoughtful, and created with every little thing I mentioned taken into account. What a credit to Wickes. Thanks so much Adam!
