Went to order a kitchen at Thurmaston branch, and after meeting Adam Wells he made us completely welcome and he was very knowledgeable about all your kitchens. After planning the layout with us he made us feel we had made the right choice for are budget. Thanks again

I booked a kitchen appointment with Wickes as part of planning a new kitchen for my home extension in Loughborough. Although the extension hasn’t been built yet, I have approved architectural drawings that include the exact measurements, and I am currently waiting to confirm the kitchen layout with my builder prior to starting the extension in the next couple of weeks.

Other kitchen companies were happy to use these drawings to prepare draft designs and indicative quotes so I could compare options before construction begins.

However, Wickes informed me that they do not provide design or planning information unless an order is placed, which meant the appointment would not help me evaluate their design or pricing. As a result, the appointment was cancelled.

The staff were friendly and polite, but the policy felt quite inflexible, especially when planning a significant investment like a new kitchen. That said, I do appreciate that they communicated their policy so it didn’t waste my time or theirs.

If you are planning a kitchen as part of a home extension and want to compare designs and prices before building work starts, this policy may make it difficult to evaluate Wickes alongside other kitchen companies.

Got a bathroom quote from Wickes Leicester and had the friendliest, most patient designer ever - thank you Adam Wells! I’m probably not even going to bother getting another quote because yours was so comprehensive and really thoughtful, and created with every little thing I mentioned taken into account. What a credit to Wickes. Thanks so much Adam!

Adam the design consultant from the Thurmaston store was excellent throughout the whole process even when considering that it was a complex order and process covering three bathrooms. He supported us through every step making sure we understood everything and ensuring that we got the installer that he thought was the best for this job.

Superb help from Jack and his colleagues at the Leicester Thurmastone branch. Really helpful explaining and clearing any questions I had as I was making a bulk purchase.

Extremely Unprofessional Service

We booked a home visit with DAVID HALL, a bathroom designer from Wickes, twice — and he failed to turn up on both occasions. We took time off work, arranged childcare, and reorganised our day each time, only to be left waiting with no call, no update, and no explanation.

This level of unreliability is completely unacceptable, especially from a company we were considering for a major home renovation. If this is the standard of professionalism at the very first step, it doesn’t give any confidence in trusting Wickes with the rest of the project.

I’m a regular at Wickes, and I’ve always been helped out by Harvey. He makes sure that I get the best quality products, and know what I am purchasing.

PLEASE READ I HOPE THIS SAVES YOU from a Modern day criminal enterprise!! Two years from hell!!!
Never known a company like it - If your thinking of getting a bathroom from these avoid like the plague. They don’t use wickes employees it just cowboy traders (contractors) they get in representing wickes to do the bathroom.
Honestly don’t know where to start.
Customer service or lack of was absolutely vile, just passes you from one person to the next for months on end with no result confronting and just lies after lies with no result and always promising a manager call back that never happens. If you think you have the backing of a big company when something goes wrong think again!!
Took over two years to finally complete it and is still faulty now ended up paying another local company to come in a put it right as wickes customer service was non existent.
If you don’t take my word for it look at all the other thousands of reviews on trust pilot for wickes will all say the same thing. Corporate bullies!

Went to Wickes to have a kitchen designed. Our point of contact was Adam Wells, at the Thurmaston, Leicester branch. He was very friendly, extremely professional and offered lots of valuable advice where needed, even though we brought our installer with us. Final design looked great, and we were very pleased. We were happy with the excellent service provided all round.

Went into the Thurmaston store to get some decorating bits. I was a bit unsure about which paint was best for the job but Tom was incredibly helpful. Took the time to talk through the options and really knew his stuff - saved me from making a costly mistake! Will be back for sure :)

George and the team went above and beyond in order to get the paint I needed. I needed twelve tins and they managed to get them from three different stores.thanks again

Adam came round to measure for a new kitchen, lovely guy and knew exactly what he was talking about, gave us some great ideas. We have been in store today to go through the design with him, and it’s great to see the kitchen on screen where you can see what it exactly looks like.

Kitchen appointment booked for measurements etc. A chap call Adam came down, did not look too keen, why would he was late in the day 6pm. So he asked what we are wanteing to do, mentioned we wanted an intergrated oven and microwave in a certain place, he said I can’t do that, continued discussing other areas, we mentioned we wanted a small cupboard above the fridge freezer, he said can’t do that. Then started talking about price, but before I let him continue I asked about why he cannot put the intergrated oven and microwave and the reply was we just can’t I wouldn’t do that, i then mentioned that other measurements we have had said they can, at that point he said shall we leave it then and I said Okay and showed him the door. Very rude, appalling attitude. Body language showed he did not want to be there. I am glad this happened at the start and not if we had gone with Wickes. Appalling from the start.

Shout out to the young lad duane. He had to go out back to find a product for us. Was quick and very helpful
