Wickes - Leicester Thurmaston Reviews 

Adam came round to measure for a new kitchen, lovely guy and knew exactly what he was talking about, gave us some great ideas. We have been in store today to go through the design with him, and it’s great to see the kitchen on screen where you can see what it exactly looks like.

Kitchen appointment booked for measurements etc. A chap call Adam came down, did not look too keen, why would he was late in the day 6pm. So he asked what we are wanteing to do, mentioned we wanted an intergrated oven and microwave in a certain place, he said I can’t do that, continued discussing other areas, we mentioned we wanted a small cupboard above the fridge freezer, he said can’t do that. Then started talking about price, but before I let him continue I asked about why he cannot put the intergrated oven and microwave and the reply was we just can’t I wouldn’t do that, i then mentioned that other measurements we have had said they can, at that point he said shall we leave it then and I said Okay and showed him the door. Very rude, appalling attitude. Body language showed he did not want to be there. I am glad this happened at the start and not if we had gone with Wickes. Appalling from the start.

Shout out to the young lad duane. He had to go out back to find a product for us. Was quick and very helpful

Been shopping here for my home DIY projects for years and khurram has always helped me with everything I've needed. Very friendly and helpful and always takes the time to understand what I need and to give me recommendations. Really knowledgable young lad. Have never had a problem with his recommendations and I always choose this store because of his brilliant customer service

We at Charnwood preschool and out of school club have just been to Wicks Thurmaston to collect some resources from the £100 grant they give out to the local community as part of building peoples knowledge on Sustainability, So Thank you Zoe and the team the children loved visiting and shopping and are already enjoying digging in the compost with their spades and trucks and are looking forward to learning all about growing and eating what they grow.

Our advisor was Adam Wells, From home visit to the final booking, we were never pushed for a booking. Adam was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and advised us on what would be good and made a lovely coffee .really looking forward to getting our new Kitchen. He is a real asset to Wickes.

We have always had positive experiences shopping at this Wickes but especially today being served by the lovely Olivia! We had quite a few colours we wanted to get mixed as tester pots and Olivia was extremely helpful and always had a smile on her face! 10/10 customer service!

I went into Wickes on Saturday for some paint to be mixed. A young girl I think her name was Olivia, was absolutely amazing and was so helpful. 10/10 customer service.

Adam did a fantastic job helping design my kitchen. He listened to my ideas, offered great suggestions, and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. I’m very excited to see the final result. Would highly recommend.

This Saturday I had a lovely experience with the colleague Harvey! He was extremely kind and helpful. He was a joy when checking me out at the tills as well!

I've been a regular customer at Wickes and have always been stunned by the etiquette and work ethic of Harvey. He serves all customers with a smile and is always willing to carry heavy items for customers to their vechicle.-

I normally shop at wickes thurmuston leicester but for some reason they made a claim against me in court over a parking tickets which wasn’t even sent to my address neither i was aware of it. Somehow the amount has gone up to £259. I received no parking ticket in post. Only a court letter was received. This is happened because my car was parking longer than 90 minutes. This is the rewards you get for shopping at wickes. I am struggling financially as it is but these greedy people trying to make things worse for me. I already have mental health issues. THANKS WICKES

How Do You Lose Two Giant Sheets of Plywood? Ask Wickes.

Wickes seems to have plenty of glowing reviews — sadly, my experience was more glow-down. I ordered two large sheets of plywood for a project for my daughter. Delivery was meant to happen between 7 and 11 a.m. on the 24th. At 9 a.m., I got a cheerful text saying my order had been delivered. Lovely — except nothing had actually arrived.

I called customer service two times that day. Each time, I was told they couldn’t reach the driver, but someone would call me back before the store closed. No one did. I called again the next morning, was told to “wait for the delivery manager,” and finally got an email explaining that my plywood had been delivered — just not to me.

I’m still baffled at how you accidentally deliver two huge sheets of plywood to the wrong address. Did someone actually sign for them and think, “Yes, this seems like something I ordered”?

I’ve now been told I’ll get a replacement on the 27th — three days late. Not exactly the kind of reliability you’d hope for from a major retailer.

We came in to look for a new kitchen and was seen by Adam Wells. Adam discussed our requirements and set up a home visit to fully plan our new kitchen. Adam listened to us, offered good advice and we ended up ordering our kitchen. Excellent service and would highly recommend

Went this morning to get Compost. Asked Olivia if someone could help with carrying compost to my car. She quickly arranged the help. Thank you for your help and providing special service. This was at Thurmaston Branch in Leicester

Just visited Wickes, Thurmaston, and received the best customer service. The guy (didn’t catch his name!) asked if I needed any help, which I did in accessing the bags of cement! Then went above and beyond, and loaded in to my car. All whilst, being friendly and pleasant and helped make what had been a crap day a lot better

Zoe and olivia were most helpful in the store for me… superstars
