Encouraging Queue Pushing and their Stock of Screws is a Dyslexic Nightmare.

Whilst in front of the Queue the till cashier called the person behind me and served him instead of me therefore she the Till Cashier encouraged a Push in which is not fair as I was 1st and in front of the queue.

This is not how a Till Cashiers should work giving a queue privileges to the person behind of the person in front.

The person in Front of the Queue should be next to be served and not the person behind.

Their stock of Screws in MM only is a Dyslexic Nightmare and their Stock of Screws should be labelled in both MM and Inches.

Bathroom installation package purchased…January 2024

Bathroom installation package purchased in January 2024. work started April. Numerous errors during the installation, wrong items ordered by the designer, some items not ordered at all which the installer chose to get himself but not the correct items therefor ruined the panelling. There was a leak which caused water to come through the light fitting in the kitchen and caused damaged to the ceiling. To find this leak the Wickes installer cut the floor covering he had laid into numerous pieces to establish where the leak was, then just screwed it all down leaving a very uneven unsafe floor. Considering it is in my parents house and they are 90 and 87 this posed a Health and Safety risk. Then a second leak which damaged the newly installed vanity sink unit, and meant we had to pay to get another plumber to fix as tap had been fitted incorrectly.
We have contacted the Customer Experience Centre, the Store customer relations, who came and did a home visit, the store deputy manager, who we met with to progress the complaint, then at the end of May the company CEO David Woods. We were told to go through one particular person who was taking on our complaint. A designer and installer were suppose to be coming to do an inspection, this didn't happen! The various people just kept passing the buck, eventually a designer came to inspect did a comprehensive report listing all the faults and how they needed to be fixed. Wickes wouldn't accept this without the Regional Installations Manager doing a visit which is where we started from in May, this finally happened 25th July, this report was completed and then we told it had to be approved by senior management, and to enable this an installer would need to visit. We are still waiting for a call from the installer, or an email from Wickes to confirm when this will happen. We have been given a date for an Wickes to come and replace the bathroom 4/11/24. This must mean an installer has been asked to schedule time to take on the project.
The Furniture and Home Improvements Ombudsman has been involved, but as Wickes don't appear to have joined up communication structure it is a different section and person that communicates with the FHIO, each time giving different excuses. The FHIO said Wickes legally have a right to correct issues, in a timely manner. We do not consider this Timely at all.
There is a whole list of faults needing to be corrected, too many to mention here, the RIM agreed the whole bathroom would need to come out and be re-fitted in her report.
More waiting and anxiety for my parents and my sister and myself to deal with.

What should Wickes improve:-
* Communications systems
* Too many layers and internal processes for an
effective solution to customer complaints
* Lack of understanding of how this impacts of
customers especially my parents age.
* Check the skills of each installer more thoroughly,
rather than grade the level 1 or 2. Are they qualified
to do the whole job?

Charging extra to replace missing tiles

I just bought 8 boxes of wall tiles from the local Wickes. One box had been taped up because it had 4 missing. It cost the same as the others but if I wanted to add 4 of the sample tiles to make it up, they would cost £1 each.

Kitchen purchase from Wickes Rutland Road great service by Phil

Today I purchased a kitchen for some student accommodation from Wickes in Rutland Road in Sheffield.
I was served by a guy called Phil who had by far the best customer service skills I have experienced.
He was knowledgeable, personable and came across as genuinely caring of what I needed.
In fact I found a cheaper kitchen elsewhere but because of him and all the effort he put into my purchase, I decided to buy it from him. He works at the Sheffield branch on Rutland Road. I am a business person myself and interact with customers in my business. Phil you will never be without a job, infact you need a raise ! Well done ! Next part is getting it delivered and fitted :)
