Wickes - Tottenham Reviews 

We invited the Wickes representative to come and assess the cost and viability of replacing some of our Wickes kitchen units that were damaged. The man came and made a few brief notes and left after 15 minutes saying he would be in touch with the information we needed in a few days. That was the last we heard from him. A complete waste of time ! I will never purchase a kitchen or anything else from Wickes if that is the best they can do . Very poor customer service .

Impossible to get through to the bathroom design team to make amendments and deduct the items from my order for which I have already returned to the store!
Appalling communication from my bathroom designer Costas.
Extremely disappointing. 4 months without any response to any emails.

Toilet cistern also leaking and damaged all my cabinetry only after 3 months of being fitted. Customer services have been terrible at resolving the matter.

Tolullah at the Tottenham store was exceptional in her support for my kitchen design. She encouraged me to explore my interests and provided excellent information and advice. She worked to provide an optimal layout that met my priorities and amended the design following feedback. Tolullah is extremely well organised and an excellent communicator. Thank you very much indeed.

The employees are really friendly
I met a staff called Trinity
One time , I had two trolleys and I couldn't mage both.
Trinity came to my rescue and toke the trolley to the cashpoint for me.
And she's easygoing. It's easier to have a nice chat while she's servicing me and others

Promised a specific time slot i.e., 7am to 1pm.

I planned my time around the slot.

At 12.53pm I picked up private number call from an unidentified person who merely stated they were from Wickes. The man asked me if I was happy with my delivery. I informed him that the delivery had not arrived. He said he'd investigate. Literally 3 mins later I received a call from the driver. No apology...just stated he'd be with me in an hour! I pointed out he was supposed to be here between 7am & 1pm according to the text I received. He then told me there was an issue with vehicle. I asked why I wasn't informed. He didn't seem to be able to answer.

I received the order 3mins before 2 pm, i.e., 1 hour after the original stated times lot. Given have other responsibilities, I cannot afford to move appointments & tasks.

I pointed this out to the Complaint handler. His focus was mainly based on whether the driver informed the depot about his lateness. He also stated that the time I was given for delivery was only a guide!!!! If that's the case why bother to provide a time slot? Wasn't impressed.

NEVER AGAIN - not ordering from Wickes again.

Michael helped rearrange our appointment, he was very helpful and patient for our bathroom consultation. He was informative and conversational, easygoing and we left feeling assured.

The delivery was incredibly efficient, and he managed the entire process from design through to delivery flawlessly - everything arrived exactly on time as promised.

This company will not replace a sink
I bought from them which they installed. After about six months I
noticed hair line cracks had appeared in the sink. I contacted Wickes and they asked me to send pictures of the sink . They said I had dropped something in the sink. Which I have not They stated this was what the manufacturers, had told them. They have not addressed the consumer law Act 2015 stated that a product has to last a reasonable length of time. And inaddition its not the manufactures that have to replace it it is Wickes. They have just closed the case.
Just seen another customer on there website with the same sink and the same issue. She has experience how Wicks has dealt with her. Is the same process of how they have appeared to address my issue. Please do not buy anthing from them . After care is very poor.

I had a great experience with Tolullah Aiyela from Wickes Tottenham…. She designed my fabulous kitchen a few years back- which has literally made my flat incredibly beautiful. So when, three years layered I decided to get my bathroom done - I was thrilled to have her design that too .
The whole experience was so easy - and the reason why is this : Tolullah visited my flat , got a feel for the style and then proceeded to incorporate that into the design of my bathroom! So now I am excited to see her design- which is fabulous- to come to life !
She is incredibly insightful and patient with all my changes of mind …. She solved all the problems that emerged and now I have a brilliant design! Thank you Tollulah…..

I had a small kitchen and bathroom. installed and I was given separate fitters for each room,
Be aware of the double installation costs. First by Wickes then by the fitters for ‘specialist works. Also the contract is separate between yourself and the fitters and Wickes will not take responsibility for the fitters work. If you complain they tell you to take your case to the furniture ombudsman.
I was charged £3000 for basic installation and the fitters tried to charge an extra £5000 for ‘specialist works’. The bathroom was also £3000 the Wickes installation and £5000 for ‘ specialist works’. It is an absolute scam and the kitchen fitters said I would have to pay an extra 20% if I wanted to pay by transfer. Who carries thousands of pounds in cash? This meant multiple trips to the bank to get authorised to withdraw cash.

The deliveries also take weeks so if there are changes it will hold the project up and the fitters will move to other jobs in that time.
My fitters took items which were not there’s. These were extra tiles and work tops along with an extracter fan which was delivered to me by mistake. I had to ask them to bring it back. They thought I would not notice.
They kitchen fitters also sent an email to me with extra costs and I refused to pay them. They have threatened to take me to court. I believe they made up the extra costs. They also fraudulently signed my name on the completion certificate as wickes contacted me telling that they had received the certificate from them.

I never did receive the electrical certificate. When I asked them they would not provide me with the details of the electricians details.

When I complained to the store manager he told me to ‘stall’ them and don’t pay any more money only to change his mind weeks later after speaking to his managers which left me in an unfair position with the fitters who were sending me threatening emails and knocking on my door for payment.

Please think twice before committing to Wickes installation. The contracts you sign are air tight on the side of Wickes.

I actually found out when I made an official complaint that I was not given the full contract by the sales person as pages were left out. Please be careful.

Tollulah Aiyela spent a couple of hours helping me to design my kitchen. Very patient,she took into account my budget at all stages. Advised re fitting and extras.she is clearly experienced and gave me the full benefit of that experience . I bought right away thanks to her attention to detail and thoughtful recommendations.

Absolutely disgusted with company return policy, didn't know standard white tiles goes out of date. The customer service agent was clearly not helpful, and came across as passive aggressive. Now I'm left with box of while tiles, waste of resources, money and harmful to the environment. They do not understand obligations under the consumer standards code of practice. I’ll never buy from Wickes again.

First time buying from Wickes in Tottenham. I was very impressed! Excellent customer service. I bought everything I need there and they delivered with a little extra cost, to my home address in the same day, couple hours later. I live in Central London. The whole process was smoothly, respectful and professional.

Called and made an appointment as renovating my mother's bathroom, at their Tottenham Branch, she is 93 years old, advised them in advance. Appointment was made for 10.30am, so morning of the appointment I got a call from the advisor and asked us to come at 11am.

Arrived early and was looking around, at 10.58am we went to the counter and bumped into the advisor who said he needed to get some water and would be 5 mins, we agreed and when he was walking away another customer asked him a question and guess what he sat him down and started to serve the person. As I made an appointment I questioned him and he said he wasnt serving him and his attitude was very defensive. I complained to the manager, and emailed and called as felt given the situation me and mum were treated poorly. What tops it off is I get an email from their complaints team saying that they had emailed the branch and given them until today 4pm to reply and they will get back to me......did they a big fat NO......Wickes, dont manage clients expectations unless you can deliver. As explained, mum had already chosen what she wanted and was going there to clarify and check if they had stock as older people always want to see the items. Wickes you shouldn't offer a appointment service if you staff are going to serve people when an appointment is made a simple 'i have a customer waiting, please speak to my other colleagues' would have defused the situation and your complaints/customer service shouldnt manage our expectations unless they can deliver!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Tottenham wickes, it was my very first time, but from the moment I stepped in there, I met a wonderful lady, Tolulla, who went all the way with me to make a great choice that falls within my budget. Not only was she respectful and cheerful but also very patient with me. And in all these, she demonstrated a great professionalism, Tolu truly knows how to win her clients. Thanks so much

Costas Christou from the Wickes Tottenham showroom helped us design a TV console for our living room, and honestly, we couldn't be happier. We initially approached Costas wanting something similar to a console we'd seen at Wickes Tottenham, but he ended up creating a completely custom design just for us. From our very first meeting, he impressed us by already having sketches prepared.

He was very attentive to colors and details, ensuring everything looked perfect together. Costas genuinely listened to all our ideas and feedback, patiently spending over three hours with us to get everything just right, demonstrating great professionalism and care.

The console itself was quite complex—combining cabinets, panels, and even a surprising inclusion of a larder unit. Costas explained everything clearly, provided helpful printouts, and guided us thoroughly through ordering all the necessary components.

To be honest, assembling the console was challenging due to its customized design. It took us three weekends, involving tasks like cutting new slots, drilling new holes, and adapting brackets because our walls weren't straight. However, this complexity wasn't Costas's fault—it's simply part of having a bespoke piece.

Just a heads-up for anyone considering a custom design: expect some extra work during assembly. Ultimately, it was totally worth it. Costas’s exceptional skills, patience, and attention to detail truly made all the difference. Highly recommended!

I ordered online for next day delivery and my ordered didn’t arrive. Next day I called the company and they didn’t even apologised. They told me that I have two option which were collecting my self or receiving next day which means loosing two days of work. I would not recommend or trust. They didn’t even bother to contact me to say I will not receive my delivery. I also had text message to say I will receive my devery from 7am till 1pm. I couldn’t leave the home all day and my builder had to wait too.

We had the pleasure of working with Costas at Wickes Tottenham showroom for the design of our kitchen, utility room, WC, main bathroom and ensuite. We cannot recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, Costas went above and beyond to ensure everything was exactly how we envisioned it—and more.

He dedicated countless hours to our project, often putting in extra time to make sure no detail was overlooked. His attention to detail, patience, and genuine passion for getting things right made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

Costas from Wickes in Tottenham did an amazing job designing my bathroom, particularly considering it is quite a small and difficult one to work with as it is based in a loft with a slanted roof.
He has been pleasant to speak with and got the designs over promptly - couldn't recommend him enough.
