We have been into the Houlton showroom a few times now and are hoping to buy a home with William Davis. The customer service that Yvette has provided so far is exceptional, nothing is too much bother! We felt really welcomed and valued from the minute we walked in, communication has been excellent and super friendly. Would highly recommend.

We recently bought a property on the wellington place development the staff were incredible especially Tracey she helped us a lot and we are so grateful for all she did to support us! With this being our first time buying a property we were a bit clueless but the emence support we received from the william davis team made our experience so much easier and couldn’t have asked for a nicer bunch of people to help us onto the property ladder!

We have recently moved in to Honeysuckle Rise & have had a great experience from working with June, who has been extremely helpful to the home which is lovely and as we had hoped & wished for.
Very minor scags & so far seems very efficient, energy bills should be greatly reduced from our previous home. All in all we would highly recommend William Davis homes

From the very beginning, Yvette was incredibly patient, understanding, and kind. She made what could have been a stressful journey feel smooth and manageable, always taking the time to answer our questions and guide us through each step. Nothing was too much trouble for June the Sales Advisor on site. She was always cheerful, helpful and very knowledgeable. The house itself is perfect, the finish and quality is second to none, we have not found one single ‘snag’ absolutely excellent!. Thank you to the office and site team who again were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble! Would not hesitate to recommend William Davis Homes to anyone you will not be disappointed!

The sales consultant that was initially responsible for selling me my William Davis house (Stephanie Holland) is no longer at the Chesterfield Skylarks site so I can’t really now scribe a witty or remotely funny review as she’s not there to appreciate it. Although technically speaking, this review is in fact remote (but still not funny). Before I begin though, thanks Steph – you were ace!
This is my second property with William Davis and I made the decision to buy another on the basis that the first property exhibited extremely square corners and nicely plumb lines. The bricks have, and continue to, demonstrate their ability to remain firmly stuck to one another and successfully persist in preventing transmission of rain and wind through to my rather comfy armchair. They do not however, suppress the screams of the missus when she’s sat in the garden and can hear me taking the lid off the biscuit tin.
The roof is nicely sloped, enough to direct rainwater into the underlying firmly-attached gutters and plenty enough to send an unsuspecting pigeon on a ski trip should it choose to perch anywhere other than the apex.
The floors, both upstairs and down, are extremely flat which is very useful for a biscuit-munching, armchair-residing homeowner who remains stubbornly averse to walking uphill. Stairs are excepted of course where I rely on my missus to begrudgingly shove me up them but then suffer the indignity of her amusement when I roly-poly down them again.
All the doors are neatly attached, slotting into their counterpart orifices in an OCD-friendly manner. My only complaint is that despite so many of them in the house, they do nothing other than open or close which is rather boring. My other door-related complaint would be directed at the kitchen cupboard doors. These are so nicely damped (“soft-close” I think you call it), that when I’ve had enough of the missus nagging me, all attempts of demonstrating my pent-up rage by slamming a cupboard door are met with a delicate and deflating cushioning effect. I am left standing there, limp; a lifeless look in my eyes that reflects the emptiness of my soul and all the while being mocked for my inability to simply close a door with dramatic effect.
Windows in both the houses are snugly fitted and fully see-through which whilst handy to let copious light in and my melancholic gazes out, sometimes cause a problem for the pigeon who earlier fell off the roof as it then takes flight straight into a fully transparent sheet of glass. Poor pigeon.
My final observation of the otherwise excellent build-quality of the house is that the back of it is south-facing whilst the front is not. You’d think in this day and age that we could have houses built where both the front and the back face the sun at the same time. Come on William Davis – sort it out!
All the William Davis staff have been utterly charming, helpful and friendly and have set a wonderful example to the missus of how she could be if chose to. To be fair, she’s generally a chipper old soul, especially in ‘her’ new house; it’s just me that sends her mental apparently.
So in summary, the William Davis homes are lovely places to be especially while the dying embers of my will to live reflect off the perfectly square walls.

Problems Solved

Purchased in Lime Gardens Sutton Bonington.

Have had two Leaks in the kitchen already, due to poor quality fixtures.

The grounds-work, is terrible. They have used too much clay and once you buy, it is your problem. Dead shrubs and dead grass will need to be replaced by us.

Customer service has no integrity, you make a formal complaint and the person who investigates the complaint is the person you were complaining about - shocked that this is not a conflict of interest!
