WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is critically unstable, characterized by constant, debilitating crashes (often showing "Abnormal termination, Error Code:2" and other issues) that frequently occur mid-rip.

This instability is a core software flaw, as it persisted despite the user performing extensive troubleshooting across multiple discs, two optical drives, different destination drives, and even advanced measures like running as administrator and using "Safe Mode."
A major disappointment is the program's failure to utilize its advertised Level-3 Hardware Acceleration feature: it refused to engage the user's AMD GPU (stuck at 0-2% usage), instead forcing a heavy 40-50% load onto the CPU.

The subsequent eight-day support experience failed to resolve any of these critical bugs. Support left the crucial AMD compatibility question unanswered, proposed non-starters like briefly disabling all security software, and ultimately provided no fix for the paid product and requesting same steps repeatedly to effectively exhaust the user.

This prolonged, frustrating, and unresolved experience demonstrates that the software simply sucks at delivering reliable, accelerated performance.

When I 1st started using Digiarty's various products (WinX AI and WinX DVD Ripper Platinum), I had serious doubts about their customer support... I couldn't have been more wrong or more pleased. Not only are their products superior to anything else I've used, but their customer support is outstanding.

This is a fantastic product which is easy to use and works well. The reason for my review is that the company, Digiarty offer just brilliant, responsive support. I took out a new subscription because I had forgottn the original details, then got sorted and asked for a refund. The refund was made within minutes. i wish every internet company was as responsive as they are.

A You Tube Video recommended that I should download and use for FREE WinX Ripper. I downloaded the FREE WinX Ripper and had to pay $70.00 for the Use. Turns out the $70.00 is a yearly subscription and NOT FREE. I thought the $70.00 was for unlimited use of the software, but when I found out I paid for an annual subscription, I immediately asked for a REFUND. The response I got from Customer Service was that they would not refund anything. The You Tube person is full of crap and the Movavi website is a SCAM.

I have always enjoyed the quality of their products, but even that doesn’t compare to the quality of their customer service. They stick with you to resolve the issue until it is remedied. I believe they are 5 star!!

Subscription scam. Useless “account management” feature on the website. Unclear terms and customer service barely responsive and make it difficult to cancel.

Besides having an absolutely wonderful suite of products the customer service, goes beyond excellent. they able to resolve in an almost real-time manner, all of my issues and concerns, and the products are top notch, feature-rich, Pro grade. Very affordable.

Purchased WinX DVD Ripper Platinum and thought the product would support my needs. Initial results were promising, however after a short period of time the program would crash. No error messages, just a hard crash. I would restart the project, and the same thing would occur over and over. I contacted support and asked for a refund only to be met a ton of requests to try this and that to resolve the issue. I was even requested to try another computer (sure I’ll just run to Best Buy and buy one to give that a try 🙄). Customer support was lacking, the products stability was lacking. Be cautious purchasing from this company.

Update: only after posting this review did I get action from the company. They did ultimately provide a full refund, but as mentioned above, not without the challenges and this posting to get there. There are many people who have had a positive experience, but I do maintain the perspective to proceed with caution.

As a long term user of the WINXDVD Ripper then Platinum upgrade software, and now the WINXDVD AI release. I can only describe the software as reliable and brilliant. The old WINXDVD Converter software has been upgraded to the AI version. Provided to us Lifetime licence holders of that package free.
I had purchased Lifetime Licences of both original packages for a single computer. My use being amateur, home only. However I had not foreseen the need to replace my laptop which expired, then lately moved from a Laptop to a Desktop. With failing eyesight need everything bigger.
A request made by me to support, was met with understanding and a new licence key for the replacement hardware on both occasions. Thank You.
I found both software packages easy to use. The online tutorials explaining operation that us mere novices can cope with and follow which frankly weren't really needed. I did experienced a strange glitch after putting a 3 minute video clip through the AI program, contacted support and it has promptly been flicked to the software guru's to investigate. I have found Ricky Ma at support always patient, helpful, prompt to assist. I wish all of the software package retailers I have downloaded product from were as helpful.
With Digiarty WINDVDX software a Lifetime Licence is honoured. Updates and upgrades are automatically downloaded and free. Don't expect the same from other retailers of other software products, like Icecream Slide Show Maker. An Upgrade means you are restricted to the original downloaded version, or buy another Lifetime Key. We call that fraud in Australia. Nor are all software products easy to use, for mere mortals like myself.
I sincerely commend Digiarty and WinDVDX packages as, must have software tools.

The program I purchased does what it promises. What I found excellent, was the helpful customer suppport with my license issue.

I have been using winxdvd for many years. I have had very few problems, but when I did like this past month converting 1 episode of a 5 season show, they were there for me. They never gave up and helped me until it worked. I am talking a few weeks of emails back and forth. When my husband asked what I had been working on and I told him, even he was quite impressed with all the help I was getting. Best customer support ever. You just have to email their support email and you will get help. Thanks Ricky

I purchased WinX DVD Ripper Platinum recently and had a slight issue that I needed to resolve with their customer support. I contacted customer support via email and they responded very quickly. Ricky Ma and I exchanged messages for a few days. I would send him an email and due to the time difference between the US and China, he would respond overnight so that I would have his response the next day. He responded every day to my questions and was extremely helpful. I had a wonderful experience working with Ricky Ma.

Fantastic customer service when I had a small problem. Got back to me very quickly and solved the problem.

Support so stupid that when they can't, or won't, provide a resolution they tell me to change to another program. When that gets blown away, they stop responding altogether!

The WINX DVD RIPPER PLATINUM and Converter was suggested to me by my AI Copilot so I ordered online, paid and downloaded immediately here in the UK. (there was a great offer on) After less than half an hour, It was up and running and I was able to download over 35 of my old LP DVD's with my family and personal stuff on.(some of the DVD's were over 20 yrs old.) The ease of ripping was truly astonishing and the quality reproduction to digital is superb. I am not a tech guy but you don't need to be because somehow it seems to anticipate your needs. Great product (and it's for life) and very fast customer service.

I use both the dvd ripper an the video converter. I have used several other similar products and the WINX ones are much better than their competitors.

In particular, the synchronization of the audio and video is ALWAYS perfect. I have gone back and re-converted my video library using WINX.

Recently I upgraded to a new version of Windows and my external DVD drive stopped working. Having read the WINX articles on the website concerning this issue, I was able to get the drive working again.

Lots of support even over Christmas and New Year
