Deliveries inconsistent

Second large purchase from this company in a week. They did so well on the first I decided to buy garden furniture. However, this was nothing like first experience in that delivery was poor. Received texts giving delivery time, but only half the order arrived though all had been invoiced and charged. Second half came via different courier company later in the day with no advance texts or pre-advice. They were lucky I was in.

I am so pleased to hear that you decided to purchase your garden furniture from us, however it is indeed regrettable to read that your delivery arrived in two parts and the second was a day late.

Where possible our couriers try and give an estimated delivery time slot, usually of two hours so that you have prior warning of their arrival and I apologise that this did not happen for you.

I do hope you choose to shop with Dunelm again in the future, as you are a valued customer.

An example of how an online company shouldn’t be

This is a second review after posting my first review only 3 days ago. Despite leaving a response to my review, which is clearly automated, they managed to fail delivery yet again on the day of delivery. The attitude from the staff is totally appalling and they made derogatory remark. Never ever go near this company- someone who trades from their bedroom on eBay will offer a much better service than these cowboys!!

Dreadful service from their courier…

Dreadful service from their courier company and eventually on receipt of our sofa the wrong colour of footstool arrives with it! The saga continues. World Stores is part of Dunelm who promised much and have not delivered! Was told I would receive a voucher by way of an apology from Dunelm. Never materialised. Will never buy online from World Stores or Dunelm again!!!

world stores i would buy from again

after one bad experience with world stores I was a bit dubious to buy from them again but they have been great had a parrot cage and just recently a nardi sun lounger both items were well packed and delivered on time the delivery men were very helpful I would buy from them again

Placed several orders with Worldstores and on every occasion they can never fulfill there specified delivery dates always delayed with the same excuse blaming their suppliers!

They change the delivery date after…

They change the delivery date after taking orders even though they are well aware that they may not meet the dates before taking orders and they blame the courier companies for that. When we call the customer service they do not forward to the manager and disconnects the phone. It is not customer friendly.

Table and chairs

Table and chairs. Exactly as described. Fast delivery. Didn't have to chase or query anything so can't comment on after sales service. Pleased with the quality of the product and the standard of packaging was also good. Would recommend. Will buy again.

Customer Satisfaction

I bought a set of 2 lamp tables and a small side table. The prices of both were very reasonable so I thought the quality and/or finish would no be that great but I was wrong. Both items of furniture are lovely. I was contemplating 4 stars rather than 5 because the delivery charge is extremely high which puts me off ordering anything else. Would like various delivery options.

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous! Placed an order for two ottavia armchairs in the beginning of June because Worldstores detailed that they were in stock and ready for delivery, requesting me to choose a date, which I did for 3 days time. On the morning of said delivery received an email stating delivery would be the 20th, I had taken a day off in readiness. On the 20th of June a further email stated that I would not receive my chairs and delivery now the 26th of August! The armchairs continued to be advertised on their site with next day delivery. On the 27th of July an email arrived from Worldstores stating that the refunded I had requested would be paid back into my paypal account!!! I had not requested a refund, still wanting my goods because we had bought all co ordinating soft furnishings and decor to match the chairs. A further email followed stating that the chairs were no longer available.

I searched the internet and found similar chairs with the same design name but with faux leather sides with sofasworld. I placed my order/payment and then realised I was again dealing with the same company!
My purchase was supposed to arrive today but I was filled with trepidation and contacted them yesterday to confirm that my delivery would come today. After 20mins of waiting for someone to pick up I was reassured that everything was on target for today. I have taken another day off only to receive an email this morning that my delivery would be postponed. I decided to cancel the order, purchased “Mull Latte” material and have my current armchairs reupholstered.

Shameful service and they still have my money! This experience has put me off buying online
