Really Good and Helpful
I had to hire a van to move to Oxford over the Bank Holiday weekend. Really helpful and offered good advice on the type of van I needed. I had been told I would need a luton van with a lift but after talking to the booking agent at yellohire.com they told me I only needed a LWB van about half the size for what i had and they were right.
so they saved me a bit of money too? They also told me I could do a one way from Sheffield to Oxford which saved me another day on the motorway - and i could return on the Sunday - everyone else wanted me to have the van for four days or they would not let me hire. Lots of company's dont do one ways either.
Amazingly Helpful
After three weeks of planning and booking with Nationwidehire I was left helpless without a van, with only a week to go to organise a crucial move of address from a city to an other.
I called Yellohire desperate for help, and I received all one could wish for. First of all, one of their employees (Michael, he is amazing, thank you! :D) reassured me that something could have been done, and that it was perhaps not too late; then in less than one hour it had found the right company (Thrifty) with the ideal service to suit my needs.
I can not say how much I would recommend them to you, I just wish I found earlier about them.

Sorted me out and treated me well from start to finish. Unlike other companies I have used in the past were there has always been a catch or a strange charge for something wrong appearing on my card a month later. Just good service and not ripping me of either. I would recommend them.

I came to this company in a moment of desperation. I work in a refuge and I needed to move a lady from one end of the country to the other for her own safety. The gentleman I spoke to, on hearing my position, immediately waived all fees and deposits and let us pick up the van straight away so the lady could leave the area immediately.
I could not believe the compassion, understanding and rule breaking that this company agreed to do to help. My company are going to use Yellohire in future for all our transport needs.
Nice to have a personal service
Booking process was a breeze compared to some other hire companies I've used. Nice thing was that the staff were able to resolve an issue with my van hire without any fuss or bother, keeping me fully informed by phone on how things were going. Something that makes you feel like an appreciated customer.

Personal good old-fashioned service
It starts off with the telephone call. A human being answers immediately. No machine. No far-off, distant, foreign call centre. An actual human being in the middle of England.
The booking process is a breeze and the gentlemen in the office give the impression that they can't do enough for you and that's because they really can't do enough for you. It's like being a time warp, back to when personal service really mattered and a customer was a human being, not a profit centre.
I have had to contact Yellohire on a weekly basis for around 6 weeks, to extend the hire period, and I actually look forward to the experience. In contrast, when I attempt to contact the rental company, I get machines, "press 2 for hold music" and the interminable waits, all of which I am paying for.
I shall be renting through Yellohire again. I can't see any reason to go anywhere else and I can see many reasons to go back to Yellohire.
Great prices, EXCELLENT customer service support
Encountering a problem with the id proofs I had provided (driving licence passport, bank statement and payslip!), I reached a dead end with the hire co, Thrifty. Calling Yellohire, I received a sympathetic hearing and assurances that they would do everything to help. It took the best part of 45 mins, but Yellohire came through. I was - indeed, am - very, very grateful for the help I received. As a postscript, later that morning, the Yellohire contact - Creighton - called to ensure that all was well. On learning of my route, he took the trouble to recommend a place to stop for refreshments. From hereon, I shall use no other company - and intend to recommend Yellohire to anyone who needs a hire vehicle. It's become de rigeur to complain when things don't go well, but it's important also to take the time to recognise excellent service: thank you, The Admirable Creighton!

FANTASTIC SERVICE
Booking with Yellohire was extremely easy and time efficient. I was so suprised with how easy it was to collect the van from the hire company on the day of the booking. It is really comforting to know that these things are taken care of for you.
As we were using the Van for business, we needed the service to be flexible and efficient. There were several time that I needed to change the times of pick and drop of due to changes with our own work and each time we were able to do so with little fuss.
As a company we would definitely use Yellohire again for projects that take us away from our base in London.

Hi had a wonderful experience with yellowhire after Budget/Avis let me down 3 hours before picking my van up. On what was described to me as one of the busiest weekends of the year, i had 3 hours to organise a replacement van due to constraints on pick up times and days.
Friendly service ensured i got a better van than requested and left me feeling happy and well cared for. Absolutely no problems with the transaction and Creighton was a star.

Great company got me out of a real mess and potential break up with my Girlfriend!!!
I booked a van for hire over a month ago with Europcar to collect on Saturday from Bracknell - they rang me on Friday afternoon (28-08-15) the day before the hire and the start of the bank holiday weekend to say they could no longer do my van rental. I rang every company I could find in a 25 mile or so radius I think. Some companies just put the phone straight down and did not even speak to me, others laughed at me and said I had no hope ( yes some car hire companies thought it was really funny). Someone even said it was all my own fault and I should have hired with a decent company... great. Then I found Directvanhire.com who are a affiliate of this company yellohire.com - they listened to me told me not to worry and they would do their best to help me. They rang me every half an hour or so and told me how they were getting on and finally found me a van in Woking. Now my girlfriend was blaming me for the whole thing as well and she starts a new job in Carlisle on Monday so I was well and truly in the dog house. Great guys and a real change of attitude from what I had experienced for a couple of hours - can't thank you enough you found the impossible for me and only a little more expensive than the Europcar price. My girlfriend is happy again and so am I.

Their service has always excellent in providing honest, helpful and knowledgeable advice.
My most recent experience was with Creighton who was a pleasure to liaise with. The booking was challenging due to it being very last minute, even so Creighton was able to lend his vast experience to the situation and save the day.

I had a booking with Yellohire for a van and it wasn't until all was done and dusted a few days later that I noticed that the mileage was restricted to 250 (and I was driving from Edinburgh to London so that was going to be an issue). I e-mailed Yellohire at 8 in the morning and by 9 I had received a reply stating that they could convert me to a different supplier from a slightly different pick-up/drop-off point with unlimited mileage - and the price would remain the same! Such a pleasant surprise to deal with a company that is so flexible and responsive to queries - I would very much recommend!

Will certainly use Yellohire again and recommend this hire company highly. Needed a van at very short notice and Yellohire not only responded quickly and efficiently but also called me back and arranged for collection of the van within walking distance of the garage I was visiting.
Despite the speedy responses from Yellohire, changes at the garage resulted in the van not being required, Yellohire kindly agreed to reimburse the majority of the charges only taking a small nominal fee for their own handling charge.
Certainly highly recommend Yellohire for their courteous business manner and efficient friendly service.

Used this company after needing a long wheeled base van (LWB) at very short notice after being let down by a well know van company. Yellohire sorted me out within two hours which was great but even better was that the cost was less than I was going to pay!! Check their website out which is very easy to use.
