In my opinion, the best vehicle hire company in the UK!

Over the last three years I have used Yellohire for all my personal and business vehicle hires. I used them for the first time because their prices were excellent, and I continue to use them because their service is second to none! In my work we hire a lot of XLWB vans and they have consistently beaten every other company I've looked at for price and quality, and regularly gone the extra mile in terms of solving problems and making complex logistics simple. I have recommended this company to friends and colleagues and will continue to do so, they really are excellent!

yellohire + Crieghton

Would have to 2nd other people's opinions. Friendly, honest and the most helpful in terms of going "above and beyond". When they couldn't help Crieghton even went out of his way to contact other suppliers to try to see if they could help then called me with a range of options NOT EVEN WITH THEM. Amazing service and also great little business

Excellent friendly service

I had such a nice time booking my van with Yellohire. They rang me back so I didn't have to pay for the call and spent a lot of time on it for me. The actual time I spent on it was very little. The man I spoke to was so friendly and funny and seemed kind. The price is very good for me and the location for pick up is very convenient.

Great prices with fantastic service

I booked a van and needed it for a week, I searched the net and the best price was Yellohire. I booked the van online which was a very easy process.

After booking I had a couple of questions, I called and spoke to someone at Yellohire who answered all of my questions in a professional mannner and followed this up with an email confirming answers to questions raised.

I can highly recommend them.

Exceptional

I had a problem with Luton can hire with another company that I thought I had booked with leaving me in the lurch in the eleventh hour.... Criton Parry answered the phone at yello and advised me over the 24 hour period and when he couldn't help set me up with another company who could help....over and above my expectations....exceptional is the one word I would use!!! A real honest brilliant experience with this company and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future!!!

Great service, great value -very good indeed.

Left in the lurch by another company, tried various other companies who couldn't give a dam about me or my predicament but them found Yellohire through one of their affiliates Directvanhire.com. Very polite, very efficient and did try and fleece me either. Got me a van when no one else could and charged me their normal rate. I had found another van with another company but they wanted to charge me four times as much no names no enterprise car hire mentioned. Further more they were really nice and polite and seemed to genuinely want to help, by contrast all and I mean all were really gruff, uninterested, and you would have thought were going out of their way just to even pick up the phone.
The company that let me down were nationwidevanhire - don't them they are rip off merchants. I have found pages of complaints about them.
I would recommend Yellohire/Directvanhire to any one even my old mum - good practice in a sea of sharks.

Great service, great prices!

Hired a couple of vans one-way only. Quick and easy to book over the phone. Everything was as ordered. Would definitely use again. Thanks for making my move so easy!

Absolutely brilliant

I have just been trying to hire a van in an emergency to cover for my son who has broken down in Glasgow, I live in Essex so this all has to be done by phone. I informed Yellohire of the problem and all I can say is that they went out of their way to help, they sourced a van and allowed me some time to see if my sons van could be repaired as the garage that was looking at it thought it could possibly be sorted quickly.
I called back Yellohire to book the van and they were courteous and helpful as before, they informed me of everything that was required in terms of documents and went of of their way to make this easy for me.
I am most grateful to the guys I spoke to in the Northampton centre, some of the best help I have ever received. I will not use anyone else from now on.

Be careful

I didn't know this going in, but it turns out that when you rent from Yellohire you're not actually renting from them — you're renting from one of their subcontractors.

I don't know what other subcontractors they use but when I used them I was assigned a van from Europcar. And, if you don't know what kind of company Europcar is, just Google "Europcar reviews".

After my Europcar experience (which I won't go into detail about here, but suffice it to say it was horrible) I did manage to get a refund from Yellohire, after two emails and three phone calls.

Now, you might argue that it's Europcar that deserves a negative review here, not Yellohire, but I would say Yellohire need to take full responsibility for who they choose to subcontract out to.

Mr Allen, Thank you very much for the feedback as you know all feedback is good. However I am surprised you have scored us so low when this is the score you should be giving to Europcar and not ourselves. A more favourable score would have been fair in our case I am sure you would agree.

The reason why the van could not be rented to you was because you failed the address authentication checks – which mean the address that you had on your licence did not match up with your current residential address or there was no supporting ID for the address on your licence. The insurance companies these days insist that this is all correct due to the amount of fraud and theft within the vehicle rental market. If you had called us from the branch there may have been some help we could have given you at the time – but you did not.

Europcar listed you as a ‘no show’on their system – which means to all intents and purposes as far as their records show you did not turn up on the day in question..

The first we heard about the problem was a phone call from many weeks later at which time we asked you to write in to us by e-mail.

Europcar have a fourteen day period to handle all complaints and investigations - they do not respond or comment on any ongoing cases until those fourteen days has expired. We refunded you within a two week period, after putting much pressure on Europcar to explain to us exactly what happened.

However the banks do take it upon themselves to refund cards on a seven working day period which is the industry standard.

It would please me greatly if you could adjust your review to show yellohire in a better light.

Will go the extra mile

When the first company let me down on my hire, yellohire acted fast and got me another van. The first company cost me a lot of money and time because of their mess up. Yellohire worked hard to get the problem sorted out and it took a while but they really came through for me. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They will go that extra mile for you so your happy. Customer service is very important to them.

Amazing Service

I have recently helped my parents to move home and needed to hire a luton box van. After ringing round all the usual companies and receiving prices of £130p.d. upwards I came across Yellohire who quoted me £100p.d. I went ahead with this booking as it was the cheapest I had found, i booked over the phone as i hadn't hired a van before and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I received all the relevant paperwork within 24 hours of booking and with plenty of time before the actual hire. I would recommend Yellohire to anyone looking for van rental in the UK.

Amazing at sorting out a problem

I booked a van through Yellohire for moving house. I cannot fault them. Unfortunately, the van was provided by Enterprise who have turned out to be an absolute sham of a company and should be avoided at all costs. Thankfully because my booking was made with Yellohire rather than Enterprise directly, Yellohire did all of the fighting on my behalf.

The difference between a good company and an excellent company is the way in which they try to sort out a problem, which, unfortunately happens from time to time. From this experience I would thoroughly recommend Yellohire.

Really Good and would recommend

Have had to hire a van on several occasions and have not always been happy with the result. Found Yellohire.com and would recommend them to anyone, polite, helpful and cheaper than I had been quoted elsewhere. 10 out of 10
