Excellent all round BUT! What ruined it for us was the anticipation of tips..... The food was expensive which we expected as it is London and we were day trippers there, £82.94 for a main mea... See more

Never going here again!
The only positive I could say about this visit to Zizzi's is the staff were friendly and did their best to provide a good service.
The food? Absolutely awful and expensive. My partner chose a pasta dish that was as bland as you could possibly get. Furthermore it was more expensive than an authentic Italian restaurant within the same area.
I had a pizza. Again hugely overpriced. The base was ridiculously thin, about the same as a crisp, and because of this was difficult to cut without crumbs flying all over the place.
One large beer, one starter and the two awful mains came to just short of £70!!
We will never be eating in a Zizzi 'restaurant' again
Amazing customer service from Rob
Amazing customer service from Rob. I had a problem with a voucher, which tecnically had expired. I mailed customer service and he got back really promptly and sorted everything out. We plan to use this in the Brighton branch with their good food and friendly staff.
Absolute awful customer service
Absolute awful customer service. Went at around 8:15 with a view of many empty tables asking if we could eat there. We were told no, and when asked why the staff said we don’t have enough people working so come back in half an hour. We asked if we could sit for a drink for half an hour then eat and they declined this offer. We came back at 8:45, were blanked for 15 mins until exactly 9 when someone said the kitchen was closed. They refused to serve us.
NEVER AGAIN
We went out as two families, one of the families had two small children. They were going to use vouchers. Since we arrived as a group we were told they could not use them. Had we arrived separately this would not have been an issue!? Service was extremely slow despite lots of staff. To add insult, upon paying the bill we found we had also been charged an additional £1.50 for a replacement cup of squash after my autistic grand daughter spilt her drink. Whatever happened to good old customer service!! Will not be visiting again.
It was a total nightmare going to Zizzi…
It was a total nightmare going to Zizzi Sevenoaks on Friday 17th May 2024, I arrive at the restaurant with my son and another two adults total number people four at 9.40 pm considering the closing time is 11 pm. To be told that they will not offer a table due to they had no chief to cook the food this is an hour and 40 minutes before closing time. We were then told we can only have takeaway menu which was weird and baffling because I would make the assumption a takeaway meal will still require cooking and preparing. The manager become aggressive and argumentative this was very uncomfortable because the two ladies who was with me began to feel very nervous. This whole situation could be seen by the internal CCTV Cameras.
When I address my concerns to the manager he then decided to offer us table my son and the ladies then decided that they were not comfortable due to attitude and behaviour of the manager.
I have since tried to telephone the head office of Zizzi (020 7535 4052) on numerous occasions to address my concerns and have not been able to get anybody to answer the calls I have telephone the main office over 5 times do feel free to try to call the above number yourself. I have even telephone Zizzi in Sevenoaks and been promise a call back which has never happened.
Hopefully someone within Zizzi will give me a call back or email
Sadly not a good meal or service
Sadly not a good meal or service. We both had fish which was very dry & although serving staff were very pleasant, service was exceptionally slow. We didn’t even have dessert as we gave up waiting. Brentwood Zizzi didn’t appear to be very busy at that time either. Doubt we will be going to Brentwood one again.
Zizzi is now cashless..
Zizzi is now cashless... I got caught out today .. no notice on the entrance and only told when went to pay with cash! I will be boycotting these cashless venues... Using COnVID bull poo as an excuse .. it's about WEF new world order cashless and digital agenda! Boycott!!
Food (pizzas) not great
Food (pizzas) not great. Desserts were feeble compared to the advertising photos! Service very good though. Lancaster.
£20 service charge put on the bill…
£20 service charge put on the bill which wasn’t noticed until after paying. Very poor practice on an overpriced meal.
My favorite place
Nestled in the heart of the Coventry city, Zizzi offers great experience. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff makes you feel right at home Im going there so often that it became my favorite place.
The menu at Zizzi is good, variety of Italian-inspired dishes never lets me down. I couldn't get enough of the Rustica Primavera Pizza, bursting with seasonal veggies and gooey mozzarella, and the King Prawn Linguine, a flavorful blend of prawns, garlic, and chili in a rich tomato sauce.
And Zizzi's prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it accessible to all without sacrificing quality. And the attentive staff ensures that every visit is nothing short of exceptional.
Thats definitely one of the best places in Coventry
Thin pork belly. Could not redeem vouchers
Bexleyheath
Been before had pork belly again for main ,only this time it was so thin it looked like it had been sliced length ways to make it go further.
Tried to use £300.00 worth Zizzi voucher which would not work . Had to pay by debit card.
Give this place a wide berth
Being Italian and a chef for over 25 years, I have had my fair share of Italian food. This is NOT Italian food. I upgraded to the £20 lasagne because the pictures looked appetising. What I was actually served was half an ice cream tub of slop . No seasoning, hardly any pasta and no body or meat in the sauce . Brother ordered spaghetti bolonese, the pasta was mush . It was cooked without any salt in the water. The sauce was so boring, absolutely no seasoning and watery. Courgette fritters 100% frozen , unlike in the pictures. So basically they are conning you. In response to my review zizzi have offered me an £8 voucher to use on my next order . I must decline this offer. There is no way I am going to pollute my digestive system with your slop. This was not a chef having a bad day . Anyone who would allow "food" to leave the kitchen in that state obviously does not care about their customers. You are in the hospitality industry, your only job is to give customers a good time. It's not rocket science. The whole brigade needs looking at , but especially the alleged head chef .
Just been the zizzi at Liverpool one…
Just been the zizzi at Liverpool one with my parents, worst service ,could tell food has been sitting in the kitchen and then warmed up to be served to us, could have made better at home, I had to ask for parmesan it wasn’t offered , nobody came to ask how the food was , all the staff were all stood around talking not very attentive at all , won’t be attending here again and I like zizzis a lot but this has put me off going to any others now.
Long delays, no food and no apology …
Having enjoyed many a lunches in the Basingstoke branch we were very disappointed today. At no point were we alerted that there would be a long delay in serving the food, but when we asked to pay for our drink we had, we were told as a matter of fact. Just walk out and do t worry about paying.
No apology or explanation. Can only assume an incompetent kitchen or management or both.
Will be a long time before returning
DON'T TAKE CASH
Haven't been to Zizzi for years. Sadly my Pizza wasn't as nice as it used to be, and it was massive. Too big almost to manage (oval), but it was enjoyable!
However my main disappointment is that when the bill came they refused to take cash. What a disappointment. Zizzi, have you read George Orwell's book 1984? We are becoming a cashless society and it is scary. I am angry I didn't have the freedom of choice to pay cash. That has been taken away from me. By being forced to used a Credit/Debit card, we leave a trail of where we've been and what we've spent without the freedom to choose. Sadly, I won't be going there again, unless Zizzi, you change your policy.
Great service from Beckenham manager
Great service from Beckenham manager , Ben. My daughter’s king prawn pasta was totally delicious, as was our baked cheesecake. An error occurred with my order but the manager dealt with this in a way that I was more than happy with. A very professional and personable member of staff. Thank you
Horrible takeaway experience…
My partner and I ordered a takeaway of 2 plates of pasta and I can honestly say it was disgusting. A disgrace to have the word “Italian” under your restaurant name. The pasta was dry and the sauce was tasteless. Genuinely felt like you just packed 2 boxes of leftover pasta that you had from people dining in the restaurant. One of those meals where you feel sh*@ after as you feel you wasted a meal when on holiday. If you’re going to call yourselves Italian, learn to cook pasta properly first. I don’t mind spending money on good products, but don’t give me 2 disgusting pasta dishes for £17 each and think you’re going to get away without a negative and honest review. Sort yourselves out before offering a takeaway service.
Excellent service from Molly
We have just been out to celebrate my daughter's 20th Birthday at Braintree.
Excellent service from Molly, always very cheerful and aseritive.
She really is a credit to your company.
Very poor in all categories
Cheshire oaks
Poor service, long waiting time. We waited an hour for starters which didn’t all come together, so we had finished before rest of party were served. We then waited a further 45 minutes for main, which again didn’t come at same time for everyone. We had to keep asking when our food was coming. They said they were short staffed although the restaurant was only half full
The food was poor quality and nothing like the photo on menu. The rainbow lasagne was just a few sheets of pasta sandwiched with poor quality pesto.
Cleanliness was very poor, floor and table were ‘sticky’. There were puddles of spilled liquid on the floor
