Window to the interior of the building
I did not like that the window of the room was to the interior of the building. It was on the first floor and there was a corridor to go into the rooms right in front of the windows and the eating area right below, other guests could see through the window so I had to be the whole time with the curtains closed (in the dark and light on) to have privacy. Also there was no chair at the desk. You could see that the room was renovated not that long ago, but it felt very empty and a lot of things missing. However, everything very clean and the breakfast was fine.

Okay stay overall, not a bad hotel, but I wouldn’t rush to stay here again. If you’re looking to save some £££ and don’t mind being a bit further out, the location is nice and there’s a Spar right next door which was handy for snacks and essentials in the mornings/evenings.
The train station, bus stop and tram stops are all nearby and can get you into the centre fairly quickly. The train and tram do require a bit of a walk, but it’s lovely on a nice day!
Staff were friendly and happy to help/answer questions when needed. However, they told us none of the rooms have air con after ours wasn’t working, and it was 30 degrees the whole time we were there. Lovely weather when out and about of course, but coming back to a room hotter than outside wasn’t ideal, especially when we were only given a half-broken fan.
No extra pillows were provided when requested either, so we just had one each. Also worth noting that the rooms don’t get cleaned during your stay, only towels and toilet paper are replaced but beds don't get made, floor not mopped etc etc
Overall, it was an okay stay with good transport links and a convenient location, but the lack of air con and basic room servicing would probably stop us from booking again.

I expected much better.
Based on the photos published online, I was expecting a much better hotel. Instead, I arrived at what I would describe as an average property.
One of the elevators was out of service, causing significant inconvenience. On top of that, nobody seemed able to find the stairs. Staying on the first floor, I often had to wait for numerous guests using the only working elevator.
Once in the room, I struggled to keep the lights on, as I had to insert both key cards together for the power system to work properly. The bathroom had no light above the mirror, making it difficult to use.
The room included a desk for working, but surprisingly there was no chair. The coat rack had no trouser hangers, and the overall appearance of the room was rather poor and outdated.

Good/average hotel. Main thing that did not lead to a higher rating was the house keeping. Bathroom glasses not changed, floors not swept and shower not cleaned. Just very basic bed making and a lack of attention to detail. Otherwise fair experience.

Hotel ok but Concerns and Wishes are unfortunately simply overlooked!
The hotel itself is quiet and beautiful, but the hotel does not accept any requests from the guests, at least that was not the case with us and that is very disappointing :(!!
When booking we were asked what concerns and wishes we had.
We entered the occasion here (our daughter's 1st birthday) and also had very subtle wishes, namely a larger room if possible and a little surprise for our daughter for her birthday!!
We have also entered all the information you need.
When we arrived at the hotel, we neither received a nice room nor were our daughter or us congratulated!!
I mean, for some this might be complaining at a high level, but for me it's about the principle.....if guests' wishes and concerns are asked here, then please at least respond to them, saying it's possible or unfortunately not.
At least a congratulation would have been stylish ☝🏻!!

When I booked the room, I had a request and the hotel fulfilled correctly my request. I was surprised to find 3 single beds in my room and little free space left. The synthetic duvets are quite thick and heavy. Even sleeping with open windows, it was much too warm under this duvet. There were no summer duvets available in the room and at the reception they informed me that only one kind of duvet is used the year around.

We paid more to have only one mattress however it was not the case
We paid more to have only one mattress, in the end we still received a bed with 2 mattress but with a low cost topper at the top.
The room had spots everywhere near the bed.
Many lights from coming from electric devices in the room which difficult fall asleep.
The check in and out was made easy.
For 4* I would expect a bit more attention to details.
