Haven't had yankee candles for sometime mostly because they are so expensive and I’ve been buying different ones in tk maxx instead. Purchased pumpkin campfire as it was on offer in Sainsburys. It... See more

Ordered on 17 November kept getting…
Ordered on 17 November kept getting messages going to be delivered also tried to deliver which was untrue as we have a ring camera that would have picked this up. Finally got a refund for order , today the order was delivered was told to keep as gesture of goodwill . When opened 3 candles of 7 were in the package all out of their container and the empty containers for all the missing ones also so not a bad order as such but UPS delivery.
No fragrance
Twas the night before Christmas Yankee candle has no fragrance. This candle was a gift so not looking for a refund. What's happened to this brand, the candles used to fill the room with fragrance not any more
Don't buy
Yankee candles used to be really good but not anymore. Do not waste your money as they just smell of wax nowadays and let's be honest they're not cheap. You will be disappointed. Something has gone wrong with the company. I've had yankee candles in the past and they have had such a strong smell, sometimes a bit overpowering but your room was filled with the lovely smell, now the candles smells of wax, not even a slight smell. Very disappointing but as I said don't waste your money on these candles
Absolutely appalling customer service
Absolutely appalling customer service, complained as I bought 3 large jar candles, none of which had any smell whatsoever once lit.
Took ages to respond and when they did, I was asked to take images of the jar, wicks, labels, side angles of the wick, along with top angles.
I do believe they do this intentionally so that you can't be bothered and then they don't have to refund or replace.
A word of advice, if a customer isn't happy with your expensive products, do your best to keep them happy by offering replacements or refunds and they may use you again.
The flames are dangerously fierce and the black coconut caused soot damage to my fireplace.
I have since purchased one for £2.99 from HB and it puts yankee to shame
Disgusting company, STAY AWAY guys, don't waste your money.
Absolute joke
Items never arrived, no response from customer services to two messages sent over the course three weeks. Finally I found a phone number and just asked for a refund as I honestly couldn't put my faith in this company getting it right and now I'm waiting on the refund. Dont even deserve the one star

Ordered a product which cost nearly £12 but when the box was opened; it was the wrong colour. I was offered a refund on returning the product but for half the price I bought it for. Seriously?
Worst company I have EVER USED
Worst company I have EVER USED
Customer service is diabolical
Website crashes when placing an order!! Ends up ordering twice. Won’t cancel order when I call
Customer service
Sent items back because double ordered and still no refund weeks later
Recently I bought a beautiful electric…
Recently I bought a beautiful electric lamp with a glass piece on top to melt the wax, unfortunately the glass got broken. I spoke to Yankee customer service and you can not buy any replacement for it , so would have to buy the whole lamp again. Be warned everyone
MINUS 10FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
MINUS 10FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Wasted 48hrs waiting for a delivery only half arrived 24hrs late told the other half was lost by courier now out of stock
Complaint requested but so called customer service decided I wasn't allowed to complain about them as she chose what to put in complaint
Emailed CEO and so far no acknowledgemnt 4 days later
Meanwhile they have my money and havent attempted any contact with me
Disgraceful considering the last order had half the stock go out of stock AFTER the had my money in their account
Buyer beware is all I can say
Non-existent customer service !
I ordered two candles for Xmas gifts. I received an email today informing me that half of my order had been cancelled, no explanation, no option to cancel the entire order, not even an option to choose an alternative candle, assuming it’s a stock issue they’re having.
Five minutes later, I received another email telling me “something wonderful is on its way” the other candle.
This truly is pitiful customer service, especially at this time of year when we’re all rushing around.
UPS inform me they’ll be delivering my order (half of it at least) tomorrow.
No they won’t, I don’t want it.
Never again !
No aroma, waste of money
Bought The Night before Christmas from Sainsbury's, loved the scent notes and thought it would be like some of the rest I've bought. But this candle had no aroma at all, infact it was pointless and total waste of money. Its really put me off buying anymore. Very disappointed.
I wouldn't even give it one star
I wouldn't even give it one star , but I had to to write a review. I have been waiting for my order for nearly two weeks. I have tried to contact them about eight times now by email and phoned up twice! I have asked for a refund and they told me my order was out for delivery, even though when I checked ups site it was waiting for a delivery date. I strongly advise that you do not use this company, the customer service is one of the worst I have came across!!!
Terrible company
Terrible company that obviously advertises stuff not in stock , doesn’t answer email and terrible slow despatch making excuse of being busy!! Off course your busy, it’s Xmas!! You should make plans for the upsurge in orders. You will be 1 quieter in future as I’ll switch to bolsious candles
Zero Scent
Zero Scent!
These candles give off no more smell when they’re burning than they do when you just sniff an unlit one.
All they do is make your room smell like there’s something burning in it - which obviously there is.
I may as well have set light to my money!
OVERPRICED RUBBISH!!!
No smell cheap product
I was hoping this cane will actually smelliest what the title says once it's burning, but I was disappointed big time. We do a sniff test which smelt ok, but once you starting burning it, you can't smell anything. We ended up throwing it away. It's cheap rubbish candles. Never again buying a Yankee candle again.
Mystery Fragrances Candle SCAM
I bought 4 mystery fragrances, 4 large original jars, thinking i would get 4 various 'randomly picked' ones, and what i got was 4 of the same candle!
Not only that, the 4 candles were 'imperfect pour seconds' marked each with a small seconds sticker!
Needless to say a complaint went straight in to CS. I have never even got the courtesy of a reply even 5 days later, still waiting, and not once has anyone tried to correct the matter as yet. Then I noticed they removed the whole product from the website (Mystery Fragrances) and therefore the 1 star review I left and commented that i complained about it.
I stated that as a full priced mystery £29.99 candle (£14.99 for Reward Members) the listing was not clear enough that you may recieve ALL same candles and that it wasn't clear these Mystery ones were in fact, Imperfect and i complained these cannot be priced the same as a 'normal' pour.
I received 4 large Autumn Nature Walk candles - all look like crap, discoloured whitey-greeny-brown.
Sich a shame as i do like other candles bought from YC, but finding them cheaper elsewhere than the site.
waste of money
I bought a yankee candle for the first time. Very disappointed no smell at all complete waste of money. Needless to say I won't be buying another one
They've removed mystery fragrances
They've removed mystery fragrances, their wax melt lids come off super easy and have holes in them (what is the point of having a foil lid if you don't use it for freshness?)
And their signature candles are just a plain rip off. Half the burning time of the original jars if you're lucky, a 3rd of the burning time if you aren't.
For the first time since I started using them yonks ago I'm considering using another brand. Yankee seem to have lost touch with what made them popular.
products were opened
I ordered some wax melts and they all came damaged and opened. Very disappointed since they were meant to be part of a gift. I emailed customer service on the Tuesday and have not heard anything back I checked my spam, junk folder and everything.Definitely will be avoiding this company next time.
Quite literally penalising loyalty under the pretence of rewarding it
Shopping on their website you're constantly reminded that for every 750 points earned, you get a £5 voucher.
THIS IS A LIE.
For the FIRST 750 points you collect, you DO get a £5 voucher.
HOWEVER, if you spend more, and earn 1500 points, they'll only give you £7.5 voucher instead of £10. If you spend more still and collect 2250 points, you'll get £10 instead of £15. and for 3000 points, instead of £20, you're now down to £12.5.
So quite literally, THE MORE YOU SPEND, THE LESS THEY REWARD YOU. Even if you take in to account the higher tier of their loyalty scam (sorry, "scheme"), where you get 1.25 points for every £1 spent instead of 1, you're STILL getting screwed on the vouchers.
This little scam of theirs isn't made clear in any of the MANY places where they advertise on their site that 750 points = £5.
So if Yankee Candle are so blatantly scamming liars, who openly penalise loyalty, why be loyal?
The answer is: don't.
Edit:
I just wanted to add that after several searches and reading through 3 different sets of T&Cs on their site I eventually found one single reference to this scammy practice. It is referenced nowhere else, and the site is plastered with banners, and even the full description in the "loyalty" scheme page, saying 750 points = £5. It is misleading advertising, and has been reported to trading standards.
On top of that, and despite managing to cover themselves by burying the information where most people won't see it, they're still penalising loyalty, which is a really bad choice for a company to make.
