Haven't had yankee candles for sometime mostly because they are so expensive and I’ve been buying different ones in tk maxx instead. Purchased pumpkin campfire as it was on offer in Sainsburys. It... See more

Love the product, terrible courier
Love the product, terrible courier service. I use these candles to de -stress (important over the last year) & they always bring a smile to my face but the UPS delivery was anything but stress free, in fact it was so much of a disaster that I can't see ordering anything else through the website for a good long while. Shame but there are other ways to buy candles that don't cause this much hassle & I'll be avoiding UPS for the forseeable future - I don't need the extra stress.
I used yankee candles for the first…
I used yankee candles for the first time as usually use normal candles for years. Followed all advice and instructions. On first use both candles burnt the holders and one of the designs..a glass lidded holder cracked and shattered on use. I have complained and sent pictures..no apology or resolve...keep getting asked if used correctly...yes they were it's just your candles are actually dangerous...looking at other reviews it would appear so...def wouldn't buy again whatsoever and still 4 months later still not had an apology or they admit the fault with their candles...yankee cowboys more like
Be aware of soot released from Yankee…
Be aware of soot released from Yankee Candles unless you cut the wick.
During a year of working at home in a small office, I enjoyed lighting a candle every day. I bought lots of Yankee Candles, until I one day realised that my walls and ceilings were coated with a thick layer of soot.
I noticed it after using: Evergreen Mist. It may be that this particular candle was the worst, but looking at how thick the layer of soot was, I believe there would have been more candles causing this. As I had used them frequently during the winter months, I had not noticed the soot, until one day a plastic flip-chart on the wall started to change colour. I thought it was dust at first, but then realised it was soot...
I contacted Chakkarabani @ Yankee Candle Consumer Service and sent photos of the wall, flip-chart and ceiling. She advised me to send them the candle, but I had thrown it away. I did send the proof of purchase. To be honest I was very upset as I worried about the state of my lungs having inhaled soot for so long. I was advised to wash the room in sugar water, which I spent a whole day doing, but the soot simply would not go away completely so I will have to re-paint it. Chakkarabani said that unfortunately it was due to me not cutting the wick at 0.5 cm. Part from offering me another candle (!) there was nothing else that she could do. I am very upset and disappointed with the service I received and lack of empathy too. I have bought so many candles for myself, friends and family from Yankee Candles over the years. During the past year, I have suggested to many colleagues and students that they can make their home office nice by lighting a Yankee candle. I will think twice before doing this again after this incident. I also feel it is important that people are aware of the soot and the importance of cutting the wick, both when it comes to otherwise ruining the interior of your home, and possibly damaging your health. So, please be aware of soot released from Yankee Candles and do cut that wick...
Yankee Candle Pink Lady Slipper Candles 2021
I was over the moon a week ago to find that Yankee candle were re introducing, as a limited edition, my all time favourite scent of Pink Lady Slipper. When they came in stock I ordered 5 of the large jars to last me quite a while. When they arrived I was so disappointed to find that they didn't smell as strong as they used to, in fact it's just a subtle scent. I don't know if they are old stock or if the company have cut down on the amount of the perfume they add to cut cost. I'll use them but won't buy any more 🙁
Yankee Candle Pink Lady Slipper
I was really pleased to hear Yankee Candle had relaunched Pink Lady Slipper jar candles as this is my favourite scent of all candles. As it was relaunched for just a limited time I ordered 4 lots. How disappointed I am, very little scent, still ok but not as strong. Makes me wonder if they are old stock or if they have cut down on the scent to save money.
X2 LOST ORDERS
I ordered TWICE from Yankee and on both occasions, the courier lost my parcel. I understand this is not Yankee's fault entirely, but to this day they are unable to deliver to my house. They do not contact you regarding any lost parcels, they wait for you to contact them after waiting weeks for my order to arrive.
Unnecessary use of single use plastic
I love Yankee Candle and have used Wax Melts/Tarts for 7+ years. Always great long-lasting fragrances and speedy delivery. My only gripe is the changed packaging. In a world that's drowning in single use plastic I see no sense in the change which has increased the single use and non recyclable plastic. Wasteful and unnecessary, which is a real shame.
Yankee "Home Inspiration" scented candles - waste of money - no smell
The other week I bought a variety of Yankee "Home Inspiration" votive candles from Tesco. I also bought one in ajar for myself & an identical one for my daughter for her birthday. I also bought her a gift box of votives (different to my votives). I was pretty excited to try mine but 3 votives in of 6 & I haven't been able to smell a thing. My daughter has tried hers & nothing either. No we haven't had or got COVID & even if we had we can still smell our scented T lights from Wilkinson! I shall not be buying any of these again particularly the jar that was on offer for £6.50 a throw! Waste of money.
Yankee candles and plug ins are not…
Yankee candles and plug ins are not worth the money
I have bought them for over 20yrs and the last 3 years or so the fragrance and quality has gone from bad to worse. On more than one occasion the candles have tunnelled and the jars are black with smoke. I have a wick trimmer but that doesn’t help.
Yankee customer service really need to sit up and pay attention
The price they charge no longer reflects the quality
Much better and cheaper candles on the market now
And this will be the last time I buy plug in refills even on full you can hardly smell them
Can’t believe Yankee are blaming the poor quality on. Covid
Do not by these candles!
Do not by these candles. They emit black toxic smoke as they burn. It doesn't matter how short you cut the wick either. Black residue sticks to the top of the glass jar the candle is in, and you can see the black smoke rising from the candle as it burns. I got very sick from inhaling it as it was in my bedroom while I was reading before bed. I was coughing up black phlegm and blowing black snot from my nose. I've called the store from which I purchased it and had them removed so no other people have to go through what I did. Give these candles a wide berth if you see them! ☠️💀☠️💀
Do not buy
Do not buy. I am fed up with these candles not burning down there is at least a cm of wax not used

Yankee Candle . Dont bother. Try Ashliegh & Burwood instead
Bought a yankee candle ( Clean Cotton) from a high street retailer. It was a gift. After at least a 2hr burn, to say it was week , or more non existant. I was very disapointed. as it was no more than a glorified lantern.
I emailed Yankee candle who came back more with tripe than I could ever dreamt of. Needs more time, wick to long, etc bull etc. Helpfull as a chocolate firegaurd.
So much so I went out and bought a fragrance burner from a local supported learning centre, who operate a garden center.
Ashleigh & Burwood. Wow!
A beautiful, little, everlasting vase, (not a smokey glass beaker) with loads of choices of fragrances. And with an instant pleasing smell. No waiting for hours for a smell thats only present if you burn your nose. And whats better, when in use, NO DANGEROUS FLAMES massive in my book. So Yankee Candle by being negitive, you did me a favour, by making me look for a for more superior product.( cheers) I will never have one of your products again, cos I found a better one.
I won't be buying Yankee Candles again
I brought a lYankee candle for the first time and definitely the last time. I was concern that the flame on the wick burnt quite high with black smoke. The rim of the jar turned black.
I contacted Yankee and sent photos. They blamed me for not cutting the wick and referred me to the small wording on the jar. I had explained that I have a condition in which small writing causes me visual distress and migraines. As a good will gesture they have offered a small replacement candle!
I have declined this and advised a review is more effective and the safety if others. I won't be purchasing their items ever again
I have never experienced this with any other candles
Personalised mother's day candle
I ordered a personalised mother's day candle. It came well wrapped, not broke/cracked. Smells absolutely amazing and message was printed how I wanted it to be. Delivered on time. :)
Broken goods
Twice now I have had deliveries that were broken when they arrived. The first was a large candle and the jar was broken and the second was a candle holder that arrived broken. I think Yankee Candles need to review their delivery method. When I called customer services they couldn't care less. Very disappointed considering they are not the cheapest candles/accessories on the market. Will think twice before I buy anything else from them.
Great smelling candles, and great customer service.
Great smelling candles, they last ages and they have safe packaging. Only reason I have given 4 stars is because their was an issue with my order, but they were quick to resolve it in 3 days, and replied to my emails within 4 hours during their working hours without wasting time.
Very efficient and customer friendly customer, and a great product!
Yankee Candle Customer Service Review
I visited the Yankee Candle store in the Dartmouth Mall of Massachusetts today and I felt compelled to share my experience with your readers. I have been shopping at this particular store for multiple years and I am always impressed by the customer service that I have received from Sue. She has helped me on more than one occasion and I am so impressed and appreciative of her personal help and professional expertise. She has repeatedly helped me select candles, place personal pictures on each during every holiday season, and her general demeanor (and patience!) in answering my multiple questions has kept me coming back. Having been born and raised in a family owned business, I am confident in my ability to judge genuine customer service. The courtesy and respect that I have always been afforded at this particular store, especially by Sue, and also Jackie, makes me the loyal customer that I have become!
SHAME ON YOU!…
After making a substantial purchase in late December, after alot of emails and requests my order finally arrived this week. Yankee Candle discovered that the fault lay with their delivery service. Yankee candle(as a gesture of good will) said they wouldn't be re-costing me the delivery charge, if that's the best they can do after all my inconvenience I will say no more!.
Would have been nice
I ordered 2 Yankee Candle locket air fresheners and 2 refills. A few days after ordering I received an email to say the lockets were out of stock so had been removed from the order. I replied asking to cancel the whole order. Ignoring that they still sent the refills! What use are refills for the lockets they didn't send?
They then sent an email asking me to review them. I reviewed the lack of receiving them and they replied saying they had read my review and value my contribution even though it did not meet all their website guidelines. They would love to publish my review, so would I please edit it following their guidelines and be in with the chance of winning £100.
Not sure what guidelines I didn't follow as I only said the truth.
So they won't published a bad review and want me to lie! 🤣😂😂🤣
Cannot trust this company
What a disappointment. Bought in October three scenterpiece unit to burn/melt the Easy meltcups. Guess what they have no Meltcups in stock!! Therefore what do i use the Scenterpiece for now? they say that they will be getting more stock of the meltcup but we are now 5 months in and they still don't have them. Do i believe they will receive more... No i don't!
This is a company selling the unit not having the stock to use it. Its like buying a car but having no wheels.
Come on Yankee Candle get it sorted urgently.
