Our 3 evenings that you cooked for our extended family - 8 adults and 7 children - were all freshly cooked and sourced with some ingredients from your own garden and we enjoyed it all. It was exactly as we’d discussed prior to our holiday and I was so grateful to you for taking the catering weight off my shoulders! Daniela and her husband provided us with three fantastic meals for my family of nine that included three young boys, their parents and grandparents. The food was superb and crafted for all age groups. We learned a great deal about the local culture and places to go for special delights. Daniela was incredibly flexible and professional.

Daniela was the impeccable hostess and chef for some of our finest meals while in Umbria. Her thoughtful menus provided the freshest, most local foods, some from her own garden, that showcased the best of Italian cooking. The food was incredible and plentiful so that we often ate leftovers for lunches (and maybe some breakfasts too). She is happy to share the history and traditions and so with dinner you are exposed to the deep cultural components of Umbrian cuisine. A wonderful sense of humor, a refined sense of hospitality, and an instant feeling of welcoming all describe Daniela. I miss her already!

Daniela made our Umbria vacation fun and memorable in so many ways. She’s a talented chef, and her dinners highlight regional ingredients and dishes. She’s a charming dinner host. Our cooking class was fun, and left us feeling confident in our ability to recreate her recipes at home. And she gave insightful recommendations for activities and places to visit.

We had a fantastic experience with our private chef, Daniela, and her sous chef, and the sommelier. They were incredibly friendly, spoke great English, and were an absolute pleasure to have in our home. The food was truly outstanding, the best we had in the area. They even prepared a Pomodoro pasta for the kids, who declared it the best sauce they’d ever tasted! We’ll definitely be sharing their contact with friends and family visiting the region, and we’d absolutely book them again for another special evening.

Daniela is a gem. I have relied on her culinary and hospitality expertise in Umbria multiple times while spending the summers here. She has organized wine tours for us, come to our home to lead pasta-making and cooking classes, and booked spa treatments through her. I often feel apologetic that I contact her last-minute, but she is always gracious and can work miracles. We absolutely loved all the wine tours she has booked for us and her cooking classes are phenomenal. She is an excellent chef who uses simple ingredients and has vast knowledge of Umbrian culture and cuisine. She also works with the best people in Umbria. She is also a kind, warm human being. We absolutely adore her.

Wow! Daniela and her sommelier friend Rosanna provided a wonderful meal of stunning food and wine locally sourced. They are both charming and gave us a truly memorable evening. With a bit of luck we hope to go back next year and I will be contacting Daniela as soon as our trip is confirmed. FABULOUS!

This is the second time that we have had the opportunity to work with Daniela - both times with large groups - 8-10 guests. Both times received rave reviews from all guests. Not only does Daniela make the cooking classes fun and educational - the food is absolutely delicious. She speaks excellent English and has a wonderfully calm and delightful personality. Would recommend her highly for any event! She also has an excellent web site and you tube channel so that we can all practice what we learned back home or after the event.

We had the pleasure of Daniela teaching us how to make pasta. Her knowledge is outstanding and her willingness to share it with us was so inspiring. We would love to come back and try out her other courses. I would highly recommend her.

Daniela and her team made our stay in Umbria one to remember. I worked with her in advance to plan out the dinners for the entire week. She was easy to work with and offered spot on suggestions. She also worked with her sommelier Rosanna to provide the perfect wine pairings for each meal. For one of the nights, we did a cooking class led by Daniela and her assistant Valentina, where we learned to make a delicious pasta meal from scratch. She also organized and prepared a special meal to celebrate the engagement of our son and his girlfriend. In addition to the meals, I worked with Daniela to organize wine tasting excursions on two different days. They were complete with transportation, and we were accompanied by her sommelier Rosanna to make sure we had a great experience. We were so happy that Daniela accompanied us on one of the days. We enjoyed getting to know Daniela during our stay and left feeling like she was one of the family. If you are planning to visit Umbria I highly recommend working with Daniela and her team to make you stay a perfect one.

Our family recently had the trip of a lifetime to visit Italy and had the privilege of spending a week in Umbria at Casa Lazzari. The entire experience was an absolute dream. One of the highlights was a cooking class led by Daniela and her assistant Valentina, where we learned to make pasta from scratch as a family and as a bonus, got to know Daniela. She’s a wonderful teacher and made us feel right at home at Casa Lazzari, even from the start, making sure our meals were comforting, delicious, and by learning each of our preferences right away.
Halfway through the week, my boyfriend surprised me by proposing and to celebrate our engagement, Daniela and his parents had planned a special dinner complete with a beautiful flower centerpiece and special wine pairings. It’s those little touches that made our experience all the more memorable and it’s something I will cherish forever. After we had 2 wine tastings scheduled, Daniela even joined us for one with her wonderful sommelier that she recommended Rosanna. By the end of the week we felt like she was part of the family, and really appreciated her spending time with us as we embraced the amazing culture Italy has to offer. On the days that she ventured out with us, her husband took over the meals and also did a wonderful job. All in all, we are so grateful for the amount of care and kindness shown to us on this trip and we hope to be so lucky to return again someday.

Our month holiday in Umbria/Tuscany has left our family with unmatched, beautiful memories. Daniela brought the taste and smells of authentic Italian cuisine to our table with arrival of each family group that joined us. It was a beautiful way to welcome each arrival — from our 7 and 9 year old grandchildren to our 70 something sister in law. We even celebrated our son’s 41st birthday with traditional Italian birthday cake with flare/candles. Daniela worked with me prior to our arrival in Italy to arrange 3 dinners at the villa — 9/15/24, 9/21 and 10/4. We planned each menu, wine pairings, # of people at each seating, time of the meal and any dietary needs or special requests. It put my mind at ease to know that the guests would be welcomed with an awesome meal — Daniela did all the shopping, prep, cooking, presentation and clean up. We could focus on our guests. Thank you so much, Daniela!!

Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Daniela and Rosanna. Daniela helped us pick a great menu that had items for 4 grandchildren ages 3-7, ALL the food was very tasty, and Rosanna paired each course with wonderful vino. Our kitchen was spotless when they left. We are recommending Daniela and her crew to ALL future family and friends who stay here.

Our home chef Daniela was an amazing cook who looked after10 of us for 7 evenings during a two week holiday in Umbria last August. We had a different menu full of fresh ingredients each evening and the presentation and service was impeccable!
She helped us to find wonderful lunch venues and places of great interest!

Daniella made us very tasty food during our holiday. Each course and combination was very well thought out, using the freshest ingredients. There was always plenty left for lunch the next day. We all thoroughly enjoyed and Daniella does all her cooking always with a warm smile. Thankyou Daniella, you really made our holiday special with the food and hospitality you gave us.

Superb experience!
Daniela and her team arrived at our home in Umbria in the afternoon and quietly prepared an unbelievably delicious feast. Vegetables and herbs were sourced primarily from her own garden, and the cooking and presentation was faultless from beginning to end. Adding to the experience was the excellent wine pairing (with each dish) from her sommelier associate Rossana, who is a wealth of knowledge about the small producers in central Italy…and beyond. Each wine was from a very small-production winery and truly enhanced the dish it was paired with. They were present but during the meal, but just in the right way, and not overbearing at all. I highly recommend this experience whenever you are in Umbria or Tuscany and would like someone to cook you an authentic meal, paired with unique wines you'll likely not find elsewhere.

Daniela is one of the best cooks I know anywhere. Her cuisine is classic Italian with delicious and authentic home-cooked recipies, intense flavours and imagination. Brilliant execution (battered courgette flowers at perfection which is exceptionally hard to do). Fantastic for cooking in your villa/home or for cooking classes. An outstanding experience.
