Your Holidays in Umbria Reviews 

Daniela and her colleauge Simona cooked for us for a week for our family holiday at the end of July 2023. We can't overstate how much we enjoyed the food, and how top-notch her service is — a wonderful variety of dishses, different every night, and created with local ingredients. There was also plenty left over each night for lunch the next day, which was a real bonus. Daniela is super friendly (and speaks excellent English) and super reliable. Not having to do any shopping, meal planning, cooking or cleaning up (!) really made our holiday special.

Daniela and her team where fantastic. We used them for 2 weeks in a large house in the Umbrian hills, for numbers of 4-8 adults and 4-7 kids. Communication was easy and prompt. She totally understood what we were askig for (local, fresh, healthy cuisine - at the correct proportions).

Her team were v smart - and had a good aura about them.

Then lastly, post meals the clearing away, extra food in tupperware, cleaning the kitchen etc were professional touches.

I can strongly recommend Daniela and her team.

Daniela and her team were delightful. They always arrived with the shopping in plenty of time, were very patient if we were a little late for dinner, cooked delicious meals and left the kitchen in a sparkling condition. I couldn’t recommend them more.

We had a wonderful evening with Daniela, it was delicious and fantastic! Best decision ever!

Daniela and her assistant cooked for us at our rental villa nightly for a week and made us sooo happy! We were 7 adults and 6 small children. Her communication before our arrival was perfect (and very prompt despite the 7 hour time difference) so that we had our menu set before arrival. She and her assistant then purchased the necessary groceries and her sommelier paired aperitif and wines for each meal. They then prepared, served and cleaned up. They were such lovely people to visit with, but also unobtrusive. They were flexible with our menu, but we were always consulted. She even gifted us a huge black truffle on the first day of truffle season and altered some dishes to accommodate it! Heaven!!

We all agreed that there can’t be a more perfect experience than having a wonderful chef in your own “home” with family and great wine while overlooking the hills of bella Umbria, and no one better to provide this than dear Daniela.

Daniela made our stay in Umbria truly special! She arranged for a winery visit, led us through a cooking class, and hosted two gourmet meals. Daniela is very knowledgeable with food and wine, and is very professional. She was a pleasure to have around and made our stay unforgettable! We can’t wait to come back for more!

We could not have been more pleased with Daniela and Your Holidays in Umbria. Every step of the way she exceeded our expectations — from her communications, kindness, congeniality, professionalism, and expertness as a chef and host. By the second night we wanted to ask her to sit down with us during the meal because she offered such valuable insights into the food and culture and elegance of Umbria… and she was fun to be with. We looked forward each evening to sitting around the kitchen while she prepared the meal. The food was delicious, and like the region of Umbria the simplicity and charm and goodness of her work and dedication and interest in making certain we had a wonderful holiday we’re always evident. Daniela is a treasure of Italy and the Umbria region.

We spent 2 weeks in Umbria and Daniela cooked for us 8 nights during our stay. The meals were fantastic! Daniela is an amazing chef. Everything she prepared was delicious and her prices are very reasonable. She shared her recipes and expertise with us as we wanted to know how she prepared such delicious food. We felt like we were eating at a 5-Star restaurant each night! We even had a pizza cooking class which was so much fun! I highly recommend using Daniela and her team of amazing chefs if you are in the area. She prepares absolutely amazing Italian Cuisine and is such a delightful person! We will definitely be using Daniela, again, on our next trip to Umbria!

We stayed in a villa in Umbria for two weeks. During that time Daniela and her assistant cooked 8 dinners for us. Each of them were fantastic. We experienced a great variety of Italian dishes, all cooked to perfection, and with fresh ingredients. Even better, Daneila is a delightful person, who is very friendly and engaging — she shared some of her cooking “secrets” with us. We all agreed the highlight of our trip was watching Daniela cook while sipping wine, and then feasting on her delicious food. I highly recommend her if you visit Umbria.

Daniela is an incredible chef.
She is as Knowledgeable and capable as you can find.
But she is also dedicated, responsible, organized , very responsive and truly delivers well above your expectations.
Her team of colleagues like Alessio that show from time to time in some events are also wonderful people and professionals.
We had a wonderful time here in Umbria where several friends joined our family in different occasions during our stay. And it was absolute joy to all of us being able to experience her culinary act.
Our family strongly recommends Daniela if you are looking for a memorable stay in this beautiful Umbria and neighboring Tuscany, with the company of the best well prepared Italian food!!!

We had two excellent dinners cooked for us during our holiday, accompanied by equally fine wines chosen by Daniela’s sommelier. Thanks to Daniela and her chef Alessio for looking after us so well

Daniela and her staff cooked for us a number of times while we were staying in Umbria. Daniela is an expert in Umbrian / Tuscan cuisine, and we had some wonderful meals, many of the ingredients of which were grown by Daniela in her own garden. These were paired with excellent Italian wines recommended by her sommelier Rossana. Daniela and her staff are very friendly and welcoming, and create a marvellous dining experience. I look forward to sampling more of her cooking in the future.

Booking Daniela was one of the best decisions we made toward making our Italian holiday a dream vacation. From my first email with her, I could tell she was the very right choice for us. She is so organized, smart, warm...and then there is her food. Truly the list of "this is the best -- fill in the blank-- I have ever eaten" is too long to list. Her food is unbelievable. Her presence around our villa was also fabulous. She felt like family and we adored every minute of having her around and listening to her talk about food and her beloved Umbria. We booked her for one week and also booked a wine tour with her. Our wine tour day with Daniela and Rosanna was so much fun and just perfect. Daniela was so thoughtful to come up with a fresh experience for us. We wanted to explore Chianti specifically and she picked two wonderful (and different) wineries for us and made the whole day a great exploration of wines and the Chianti region. We also traveled with children and she was wildly accommodating and thoughtful about including and feeding the children. Do not hesitate to book her and her team. They are just the best.

My family and I booked a private chef experience through Daniela for a week's long family milestone celebration (our parents 50th wedding anniversary). The experience from start to finish was amazing: Daniela and her team catered for all our dietary requirements (1 coeliac, 3 vegetarians and 5 meat/fish lovers); high quality produce was used; friendly and professional chefs; regular check-ins on the experience; spotless kitchen afterwards. The whole experience allowed us as a family to relax and enjoy our holiday while eating and drinking well. I cannot recommend Daniela and her team highly enough. Don't hesitate to book!

Daniela and her wonderful team ( especially Alessio) absolutely made our family holiday. From the wonderful wines to the magnificent freshly prepared food, we where made to feel special for our entire stay. The service was excellent, friendly and professional. Daniela's food was amazing! We ordered the cold meal for our arrival which was enough for days and then she also came and cooked us dinner one evening which was a great experience with good food and then chat afterwards. Nothing too much trouble.

Daniela came to our home with an assistant and prepared a family celebration supper for 11 people. We had 4 courses served to us, all of which were delicious and enjoyable to eat. Presentation was spot on and our kitchen immaculate afterwards. It is a lovely experience to be treated as a guest in your own home. Highly recommend experience, don’t hesitate to book!
