ZAAP is barely one step above a scam. The app is so glitchy it's a joke. Kids can't get it to it, so any notion of this being a useful tool to teach about savings is a blatant lie. I have battled issues with ZAAP since last December and am now cutting my losses and giving up. I just wish I could get the money back I wasted signing up.
Constant problems with loading money to the parent wallet go unresolved. I've been waiting over a week for a transaction problem to be sorted out. No-one answers the Customer Support phone number so I resorted to sending an email, to which I received a reply a day later telling me that I would be contacted within 1 business day. That was over 3 business days ago.
I am now exploring other options for getting a card for a kids account at any legitimate financial institution.

so terrible. cannot add this card to pay pal, can’t take money back from the account and put it the parents actual bank account. not functional at all. don’t know why you’d create a bank account where you can’t transfer money back

ZAAP goes further than a bank account in providing a tool for parents to teach children good spending and saving habits in a safe and controlled environment. Due to this controlled environment you cannot transfer out of the ZAAP account in to another bank account but spend directly from the ZAAP Mastercard.

What a great idea.

What a great idea and easy to use. The kids love it they think that is cool that they can now tap and go. Needed to call the customer support line and found the service professional and helpful.

CreditCard debited but no card

I ordered this card and only. 1 cent was taken from my account and when card never arrived I was told I didn’t finish transaction.. I feel very uncomfortable that my CC was debited and and account not properly set up.

This is a great idea for kids

This is a great idea for kids. Parents can directly deposit money onto the Zaap card and also keep track of their children's spending. A great alternative to individual bank accounts when the kids are young. My kids are very happy.

Customer support was fantastic for me

Customer support was fantastic for me, I am not the best with technology but they walked me through using the app and it seems straight forward. I'm looking forward to my kids using it and to being able to teach them about money!

The App is so hard to use

The App is so hard to use. It took ages to set up going back and forth. I had to re-enter passwords dozens of times. It hardly ever works. After a couple of weeks I logged on to view my son's activity and his data is all gone, apparently i have no children under my account name anymore. I don't find it straight forward but rather a complicated thing to use. Also there is an extra charge for every transaction which wasnt mentioned originally

Best financial tool for parents and kids.

Great product for parents that are looking for a 21st-century pocket money tool. The fact that I can load money to my child instantly when it is needed is an amazing feature. I know what they spend and can assist them in setting smart savings goals.

The Product is designed beautifully and my kids loved opening their ZAAP boxes.

I cannot work out how to deposit money…

Hi, can you please call me again, as still not able to sort out, thanks

I cannot work out how to deposit money into my kids accounts, I have set up my account, transferred the money but cannot allocate into their accounts. Also the PIN changes everytime that I log in?
Also can't yet activate the kids accounts as they do this as well.
Called the number on the back of the card and was told that this is something she couldn't help me with that I would have to contact the provider direct? Aren't you the provider? No alternative number or email provided.
So currently have two disappointed kids, money in an account I can't access and the kids still can't use their cards!

Card is great, App not so much.

The card itself is great, but the App has a few glitches. The child app on my sons phone logs out on its own so we have to keep generating new passwords to log in. And my app does not update transactions regularly, sometimes even loses transactions. And for no reason, the regular pocket money payment stopped. The App is not very intuitive, and it’s sometimes difficult to find what you need, but when it works it’s great.

Utter waste of time and money.....go elsewhere.

Zaap is the worst product/service I have Interacted with in years. Such a great idea, but an utter waste of time and money. The tech doesn’t work, the tech support don’t reply to emails, and when you phone they have no idea - other than “reinstall the app” - guess what? It doesn’t work guys......
Go elsewhere.
