Stressful service.

Appalling delivery service.I ordered a Nintendo Switch from Zavvi which I was informed had been sent to the delivery service the following day. I then received an email from Yodel saying they would deliver the next day. All good, except the parcel wasn't delivered. It was marked as no one home which was nonsense and it took 4 days finally threatening to call the police for my parcel to arrive. Zaavi got me after the parcel hed been delivered, Not terribly useful.
I have told Zaavi that I won't order through them again while they use Yodel as theisr courier company.

Atrocious

Customer services get back to you quite quickly, but they send templates instead of actually answering questions. They charge for delivery when it shows free. Advertise 3-5 days delivery but takes 2 weeks. Overall extremely poor

I don't what is going on with my order

I ordered something over 2 days ago and there still hasn't been a dispatch. They have taken the money out of paypal though...
I sent them a message on twitter and nobody replied. There also isn't any direct customer service to contact them on.

Unorganised company - poor customer service structure

Poor experience, took funds only to then tell me products were out of stock. I understand mistakes can happen, Zaavi then wanted to see if they could source the stock from elsewhere, a refund was then requested due to time implications. The outfits were being bought for a weekend event, they would now not arrive in time. After over 6 weeks of generic template email responses I was refunded, a complete waste of time and a breach of
Legal contract, the funds should have been returned within 30 days.

I feel sorry for the staff, a poorly structured company. In a world that revolves around customer experience, I don't think these guys will last

Months later still no stock

I pre-ordered items with despatch dates in September and October and in December they send yet another stock reply saying the same thing, still waiting for stock...No mention of this being a possibility but very happy to take money for no product...Zaavi.com like other companies owned by thehut.com are creating such a bad customer service rep, I'm amazed they still trade.

I dragged Zavvi.com personnel to Crown Court and won my case/costs.

This is an update from my previous (archived) review, which Zavvi;com have tried to have removed on the grounds I am no longer a customer.

If you're reading this, you may have already heard some fairly bad things about this disreputable online distance seller; for eg, a few years back they sent Legal Action warning letters to 100s of their own account-holding customers who'd been accidentally sent more valuable items than the ones they'd purchased.

In 2015 I became embroiled in an unpleasant dispute with a rather unpleasant character from Zavvi.com's "Customer Relations Team" (surely an ironic name, right?)

She cancelled 100s of pounds of my Steelbook (collectibles) pre-orders - after I moved home address - on the premise they could not change my order details, even with the 3 months' advance notice I'd given them.

This particularly odious and nasty woman (name withheld due to legal reasons, but let's call her Ms. C) from Zavvi, com's CRT then proceeded to close my account when I threatened to escalate my complaint about her unfair actions.

I tried to raise a formal business dispute or objection with their CEO on the grounds that this was blatantly a breach of due customer care - but with little joy as nobody representing Zavvi.com on a management level was ever inclined to respond to any of my letters.

To be blunt, I refused to accept this treatment, so escalated my objections to include posting negative online rebukes of the both Zavvi.com and Ms. C specifically. I also continued to send more emails directed to Zavvi.com management about the conduct of their employee.

It was then that my partner (with whom I'd shared my Zavvi.com account before it was closed) received an abusive and threatening telephone call from Ms. C on her private work line, demanding that she stop posting reviews about the company and herself.

Seems that despite my explaining the situation in emails sent to her management, Ms. C had made the assumption that my partner was responsible for the reviews, and decided to take matters into her own hands by making this nuisance phone call.

At this point I became incensed that personal data (sensitive phone numbers) had been retrieved by this Zavvi.com employee - weeks AFTER she'd closed our account - and used to harass my partner at her place of work.

This was a clear breach of the Data Protection Act, as legislation prohibits companies employees using archived data for such activities - it's commonly termed DATA THEFT.

I filed a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) about Zavvi.com's mis-use of my archived personal data, and also sent the company a legal letter threatening to secure a court injunction should Ms. C ever harass my partner by telephone in this way again.

I again got no response from Zavvi.com management, but I did get a visit from the police, who'd received a complaint from Cheshire (Zavvi.com's registered address) saying that my complaints and reviews (the bits about her, presumably) were causing HER to feel harassed.

I tried to explain the entire situation about the unresolved business dispute, the theft of my data, the nuisance call to my partner etc., but because your average plod is basically a thick, uneducated grunt, they refused to see my side, and rather tried to caution me about posting online comments about, or sending letters to Zavvi.com.

Naturally, I told the plods to stick their ridiculous caution in a damp, dark place, as I'd every journalistic right (ECHR Article 10, specifically) to write about it online, as well as a right to expect an acknowledgement from Zavvi.com (WHICH.co.uk under Business Law and Consumer Rights) regarding my serious Data Theft complaint.

Soon I found myself having to go to Magistrates Court, this being where a triumvirate of fat, bored, decrepit old women sat with their ears and eyes closed all day waiting for their tea-and-scone breaks whilst dispensing rudimentary summary (read: kangaroo) 'justice' to ASB lowlifes and petty criminals.

Next stop Crown Court, where I successfully (representing myself and dispensing with my underwhelming advocate) got the case dismissed and won my £2 K costs back, due on no small part to the fact a CC judge is (thankfully) legally qualified enough to understand finer points of The Protection From Harassment Law - where uneducated Magistrates and coppers are clearly not.

So CPS, well done for those many thousands of taxpayer pounds frittered away over 2 whole years on unnecessary and pointless prosecutions (maybe they should try catching some actual criminals or put some in prison - couldn't hurt, eh?), and as for Zavvi.com, the subject of this review, I continue to lobby and write negative comment about them (see also my related Consumer Infomercial videos on Youtube) in an ongoing effort to persuade other consumers to shop elsewhere.

As far as my unresolved complaints go, I still haven't received an apology - or any type of response at all - from Zavvi.com.

I implore anybody reading not to have anything at all to do with them. Ever.
