This is my first experience with Zespa, I ordered blue suede sneakers and I got them with a defect.

As we discussed together by email, we sincerely consider that the situation has been handled well on our side.
We took back the defective product free of charge, which we always do regarding defective products, and we tried to find a similar product for you to get with a discount since the one you initially bought was out of stock.
In the end you chose to be refunded which we did right away.
Defective product is not common at all but it can happend as our shoes are handmade in family-sized factories.
Despite your bad experience, we hope to see you again so that you can change your mind on our brand.

Indeed, as we still are a small and self-funded brand, we cannot afford to offer free returns on all orders. That is why we made the choice to only offer free returns for customers that opt for store credits instead of a regular refund.

I‘ve got to admit I‘ve grown into a little bit of a Zespa fanboy recently. This has been the 5th pair of shoes I‘ve bought from them over the last year or so. The shoes are very comfortable, durable, made in Europe with a small environmental footprint and they look amazing. Yes, they are not cheap but this kind of quality costs. If you look out for sales, they can be had quite a bit cheaper. Shipping has been super quick. Also the customer service has been great. I don’t think I‘m going to buy five more pairs in the next year but I‘ll be back for sure. Thanks!
