0 star, awful company, terrible service, even worse customer service. Getting even worse since they changed to BNM. Instead of putting their hands up when mistakes are made they try to blame the customer. Very expensive for a totally crap service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Bins not collected for 7 WEEKS and every time I ring -after 30 mins minimum on hold- they absolutely tell lies. Horrendous customer service. Appalling company. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I do not understand the negative reviews. We have been with AES/Bord Na Mona since 2007. Hand on heart, in 15 years, I could count only on 8 fingers any problems which were due to AES/Bord Na Mona. 8 in 936+ Collections. I live in Athy.

Worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. Constant missed bin collections and I have to pay them for the privilege of being treated like this, disgraceful. Don't go near them

With AES for 3 plus years
With AES for 3 plus years, changed bank lately and had to had to change dd details.
Accounts/customer service is abysmal.
Firstly it was the only charge that I could not change over the phone.
Every other bill had a facility to do so. Secondly when I did fill out the dd mandate, they refused to accept the email I sent them, so I physcially put the mandate in post, as instructed.
After doing this mid June, 15th, I get a letter on the 04th July stating that my dd had not been processed, which means they could not collect payment, my dd was now cancelled and they were charging me an additional €4.99 fee for the privilege.
When I called, naturally waiting 17 minutes before they picked up, I was told my dd was not paid the month before also, (this was the first I heard of this, I always receive text saying payment will be taken, and it always is), apparantly the standard procedure is to send instruction to the bank on the 2nd of each month, to take payment, - even though the payment itself somehow does not come out until the end of the month, so anybody who changes bank or has any other query, well that dd is going to come back unpaid, and you will be charged the fee for it. I have never heard such BS in all my life. I have worked in Finance for over 20 years, this is not how it is done.
You may as well ring any other Government Body and wait for 20 minutes to actually speak to someone, and that poor someone is literally just doing their job. System is absolute sh*te.

Do not use this company. Absolutely 0 customer service. Spoke to agents and sent emails and issues not resolved. Call back promised but not received. Totally incompetent. Yet they get away with it.

New company same "rubbish" service
New company same "rubbish" service. I spoke with 3 customer service staff and none of them were competent to resolve a miss collection problem and then them and the miss collection team just lie in front of you: "someone will call you back and update you on the collection/the bin was not outside for collection". Stay away from this company ‼️
Absolute joke of a company 4 weeks…
Absolute joke of a company 4 weeks we've been sitting outside my house waiting to be emptied and collected it hasn't been emptied since last June the glass bin spoke to 3 people over the phone and I have been promised that would be collected in a few days this has been going on for weeks

I think it's ridiculous that my rubbish bin has not being collected for 2 second week even tho I make payment every week it's not the first time either ...iv rubbish up to my eye balls ..think it's time to move to a different company
Glass bin service
Glass bin service, why do they bother offering it? My first collection never happened, when I rang they told me it hadn’t been tethered to my address yet. Am with them 7 months and have had no glass bin collection, was meant to get glass bin collected today, then they said they couldn’t. When I emailed I got. Copy and paste email about covid . It’s a very heavy bin to have to be wheeling in and out like that. Sent in direct debit form, that didn’t tally so had to pay online. They seem to always be taking money too. Should have stayed with last provider as now I have an extra heavy glass bin that does nothing but take up space .

AES Bord Na Mona Bins in Wicklow: After moving to Wicklow two years ago it took several attempts to get this company to continue collecting from from the same premises. They they could not tell me the correct dates for the bin collection.
In fairness since then the collections have been OK and the staff seem friendly.
So then my fees were due so I tried to pay on-line. This does not work. I tried calling but just get left on hold. At last tried emailing, and asked for them to call me. They did not do so.
They emailed back as suggested I try paying again on-line, but this does not work.
Their way of dealing with this was to stop collecting our bins.
Their Customer Service is abysmal.
If you want a reliable service STAY AWAY FROM AES BNM.

not sure what happened but the change from AES to bord na mona not only changed the collection days, they now resorted to not collect my bin at all. Really dont understand this company

Poor service.its a headache to deal with them.i have call them 3times and emailed then twice no response.they need to collect their bin after account closure its been 2months.they msg twice to leave bin out they will collect.now its 3rd day bins are on footpath but they are nowhere absolutely pathetic service.
Extremely poor service
As a new customer my bins were not collected for a month. Their Customer Services department is about the worst I have ever encountered. I cannot understand how the County Council allows this company to be one of its providers.

No collection no communication to it's paying customers, always the same excuses truck broke down ,staff shortages , and the new one COVID 19, all that they're short of saying is that dog ate their homework as an excuse.
Happy to take your money but fail to honour their part of the contract .
Do not trust this company to provide you with a regular service because you will be disappointed.
I have on many occasions have had to go out and pick up rubbish that has fallen out of the back of the truck after collection when you're lucky enough to get it collected .
This company should have it's license revoked as it's not fit for purpose and fails it's customers to do what they're contracted to do to collect refuse .

If there was a zero star option I would choose that.
I signed up and paid for a bin collection service over a month ago after I moved to the Wicklow area.
Not a single collection has yet been made. The recycle bin remains outside unemptied.
Zero customer service to boot.
Don't waste your time with this company. It will just be a very stressful experience.
I have contacted my bank to dispute the payment.
My advice is to do the same if you have the same experience as I have had.
