Review on new air conditioner from airconditioningdirect

This appliance is amazing.

I’ve had a 6,000BTU air conditioning unit for years, and it does a good job, but although it still works, it’s getting old. I dragged it out again for the hot weather and immediately decided to buy a new one.

I’ve doubled up to this 12,000 BTU example which strangely will cost less than half as much to run as my old one. The importers say it is because of new technology.

It arrived very quickly (Tuesday 15th June 2021) and was set up in no time. Very straight forward. The difference was stunning.

My old machine blew out refrigerated air and its effect was pleasant. It never did lower the room temperature by much but we appreciated it anyway.

I used my new machine as soon as I was able, on Tuesday 15th June (day of arrival) the indoor temperature was at 29 degrees. Within seconds we realised that this machine was going to deliver. After ten minutes the room temperature went down to 26 and within an hour it was at 21. It didn’t get any cooler and as my wife said she was too cold I turned it off (using very clear remote control). Straight away the temperature started to rise. It was still baking outside.

I told my wife to put a jumper on as I was still too hot. She did, l turned the unit back on and we were both happy. The cool/cold air was pleasant to experience. We left it on for the rest of the day. During which time it did achieve 20 degrees, until the sun went down at which point the temperature started to plummet. At 18 degrees we switched it off again for the rest of the day. The room did quickly warm up again to 22 degrees, but we were going to bed anyway.

I’ve only had this appliance two days (yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far at 30+) but if it continues to perform as it has done thus far then I am more than happy to highly recommend it.

I’ve read a lot of QnA and reviews and feel sure almost all of everyone’s problems have been self inflicted by not reading the manual. The manual is comprehensive and I have not seen a single review, complaint or question that a purchaser couldn’t have solved for themselves had they done the relevant reading. The importers are very patient with questions, answering the same one from different questioners, several times.

Yes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It’s raining today but still hot. My air-con is back on, but at a slower fan speed and higher temperature though I don’t think that the set temperature actually makes any difference until it is accomplished. I think the slower fan speed is more relevant, but I must experiment and find out for sure because it seems to me that the cooling cools at the same rate no matter what. It just does it differently as the other parameters are altered. I admit, at this point, I don’t know.

I would like to add, that Amazon found this genuine, unsolicited review to be inappropriate and, very unfairly, have deleted it and all my years of reviews from their site with no reply to my question as to what is wrong with it.

The Servicing Team were most courteous and very professional. They did a fantastic job servicing our Air Conditioning. They also explained what needed changing and why. They are an asset to George's Air Conditioning.

Neil and his team have been a pleasure to deal with; responsive and competent. We had an issue trying to connect the unit to the WiFi, but they wouldn't leave until it had been sorted

Managed to deliver and install on a timely basis in spite of pandemic. Engineers very professional.

First class service. Had two Daikin air conditioning units fitted by very efficient engineers. All done in a day, tidied up and everything explained about how to use. Would have no hesitation recommending.

Just got 3 air condition units fitted this week. Was meant to have got them in pre lock down. The service, efficiency and the professionalism of the team that came to fit them was amazing. They were here for 3 days and completed the job with great care. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

A team of three engineers on site, very punctual and professional. Everything from ordering units to installation went well. Installation of three units and electric job took three days. No mess after each installation, everywhere was clean and tidy.
After completion, they tested all the units and we had a short induction by the engineer (Sandeep) who installed all the units.

I recently had a Daikin Emura 5KW AC unit installed in the office. Overall, I was very impressed with the work carried out by Amit/Kuldeep, along with the instructions on how to use the equipment. They were very professional, informative and left the site exceptionally clean.
