I was charged twice for a subscription…
I was charged twice for a subscription – three times in total. Since March, I have been trying to get a refund, and I still haven’t received anything. This situation is absolutely unacceptable.
Customer service is extremely slow and inconsistent. At first, they claimed they couldn’t see any such charges in their system, and later suddenly they “found them” – yet I still haven’t received a refund.
It feels like the company is counting on customers to eventually give up or forget about the issue. Unfortunately for them, I have no intention of letting this go.
Update:
What made the situation even worse was that I was told they were unable to proceed with a refund while my review remained publicly posted because it was “significantly impacting their business.”
Only after I opened a dispute through my bank did the situation suddenly move forward. The refund was recovered through my bank, not directly through the company’s customer support process, despite their later public response suggesting that they had resolved the matter themselves.
I believe other customers should be aware of the full context and decide for themselves whether this is acceptable customer service.

We’re sorry for the frustration caused here.
After investigating the matter fully, we identified that two separate memberships had been signed up for, which is why there was initially difficulty locating and matching all of the charges correctly on our system in order to cancel and refund them properly.
This has now been resolved, both memberships have been cancelled, and the relevant refunds have been processed.
As the matter has now been fully dealt with, we would kindly ask for this review to be removed or updated accordingly.
Poor after sales service
I had a recurrence of a drain blockage 2 months after my initial call. I suspect that the root cause of the blockage was not addressed and that the fix offered was only temporary. My evidence is that Severn Trent advised a blocked stack pipe. The solution offered was to use a pump action drain unblocker on the downstairs toilet which did indeed appear to have worked. The company politely refused to return for free to reassess the issue as their work is not guaranteed. I would have expected better given the price paid.

Unfortunately with drainage blockages, it is not always possible to guarantee that the issue will not return, as there can be underlying causes within the drainage system that are outside of what is visible or accessible during the initial visit. At the time of attendance, the blockage was cleared and the system appeared to be flowing correctly again.
While we explained that recurring blockages are not covered under guarantee, we still wanted to help and therefore offered a goodwill refund as a gesture of customer care.
We do appreciate your comments and are sorry you were left disappointed with the overall experience.

We had a gas leak at home
We had a gas leak at home, they were here in an hour and replaced the pipe within an hour. £360 for a gas pipe replacement within an hour on a bank holiday Monday. Very happy with that!
They were also up front with the cost. Would definitely recommend.
