Threatened, extorted and my keys were not returned
I agreed a price of £140 over the phone for a small leak near a radiator. The plumber failed to attend on the Friday as arranged, and only came after I chased, attending the following Monday.
After completing the work, the plumber (Mark) demanded immediate payment and became aggressive, stating he would continue charging by the hour until payment was made. I explained I was working and would pay later that same day.
He then refused to return my house keys and disputed the agreed price, demanding an additional £40 on top of what had already been agreed. I felt pressured into resolving the situation due to him retaining access to my property.
I have now paid the full amount requested, but my keys have still not been returned.
This experience involved missed appointments, aggressive behaviour, and the withholding of my property. I would strongly advise others to exercise caution.

From our records and discussions with the engineer, all interactions were carried out in a professional and respectful manner. The works were completed to a high standard, and the issue you called about was resolved.
Payment for the job was due on completion, as agreed during the initial phone call. Our engineer experienced difficulty receiving payment, which is why follow-up conversations took place. At no point was any threatening or aggressive behaviour reported from our side.
With regards to pricing, the amount charged was in line with what was agreed. Despite this, we did speak with the engineer about reducing the cost for you as a gesture of goodwill.
We take all feedback seriously, but we do not accept claims that misrepresent the situation.

Had a leak in bathroom
Had a leak in bathroom and toilet waste coming in. Called and spoke to josh and had an engineer same day. The plumber was professional polite talked me through any extras needed to complete the works and not only fixed the issue in a timely manner but left bathroom immaculately clean as if nothing ever happened. Highly recommend this company and high praise to the engineer that came out 😄

Washing machine install
Used the service as a retailer could not install a washing machine that i had brought. After phoning all home repairs, they were able to install my washing machine after a couple of hours and also fix my sink which had been leaking. I would definitely use them again

I had a blocked drain outside. I rang in the morning and was dealt with cheerfully and efficiently by Mia and she arranged for someone to come that afternoon. They arrived when they said they would and cleared the blockage within 15 minutes. Cheerful friendly three blokes. So, excellent service, BUT it cost me £360 which seemed a lot to me.

I had a burst pipe and a plumber came out very quickly and stopped the leak.

Washing machine leak on Easter sunday
We had a leak that ended up Cushing water all over our utility floor on Easter Sunday. We called home repairs who were helpful and reassuring and helped us turn the water off (only moved in recently and water stop was not where expected!) they sent Graham out who arrived within an hour and found the source of the issue. He was friendly helpful and felt like nothing was too much trouble. Lovely fella and he was also able to fix the leak! Great service and would def recommend

I contacted Cwmbran Plumping Services…
I contacted Cwmbran Plumping Services obviously with a problem, the guy on the phone said that he would phone the engineer to see if it could be fixed because it was a red pipe under my mobile home, the answer came back no problem, so that call cost me £120.00 because it was classed as an emergency which I didn't know. After getting off the phone the plumber contacted me to enquire about the problem, so I explained to him that the guy on the phone told him, so he said to me that all water pipes where copper or white and that he didn't think he could fix it which was going to cost me another £120.00 plus £50.00 every hour after and that it would take him 4 to 5 hours the time was 4.30 pm and he had to come from Port Talbot to Newport I don't think he could be bothered, so i told him not to come. So I'm trying to get my money back but I was told that I cancelled the call so I couldn't, I have asked for all telephone communication to verify who said what. I wouldn't recommend this Company if a was drowning in water.
I have been contacted by this company to state I am lying, but if you read the other reviews I am not the only person that has had exactly the same problem, I have written to Torfaen Trading Standards they should not be able to get away with this scam.

We’d like to clarify a few points regarding this situation.
Your call was answered as Cwmbran Emergency Plumbing, making it clear from the outset that this is an emergency service. The pricing was also clearly explained — £120 for same-day attendance, £120 upon completion, and £60 per additional hour if required.
After the booking, the engineer contacted you directly to confirm the details of the job. He did not refuse the work. He simply explained that the pipe described was unusual and not a common setup, but confirmed that if it was a standard plumbing issue, he could attend and complete the work. He also advised he could be with you within approximately 45 minutes.
You then chose to cancel the job before the engineer attended.
Given this, the service was arranged as agreed, and the cancellation was made from your side after booking. We do not believe the situation has been represented accurately in this review.
Scammer company charged me £120 call…
Scammer company charged me £120 call out fee and wanted £120 when the drain was unblocked, They sent a plumber who said he didn't have the tools to fix the job!
He said I wouldn't be charged but I was! He also said the company would call me back to arrange another plumber and they didn't call back
I had to call them 2-days later to request a refund which they didn't honour!
They went on to say they have another plumber who actually priced up the work without even looking at it, priced between £250 and £550 so I said no thanks I just want my money back as they had lost all my trust by then and I expected the plumber would have came in at the higher end after him quoting without even seeing the job!
That's not how business works, I price construction jobs myself, I go out and look at the job, Then send a detailed quote via email.
I am now £120 out of pocket for a plumber to turn up for 5 -mins without the necessary tools or experience to fix the drain and I'm left in the same position!!!
They are running multiple companies across the country using different exact match domains in many counties to fool the Google algorithm into ranking them page-1 and using scam call centre to follow up on the leads coming in,
I expect they find the trades on sites like Check a Trade, Trust a Trader etc
The company that I dealt with were - Rhyl Plumbing Services which is a trading name of All Home Repairs 24/7 LTD
As a web developer SEO myself, I Have found all their dodgy domains by doing an advanced Google search most people won't know how to do and I will be reporting them to action fraud, trading standards and other governing bodies to stop them from ripping other people off! You ripped the wrong guy off here!
I gave them the chance to refund me but it seems my £120 was worth more to than them than me taking action to take them down and stop them for trading as rip off merchants leaving people out of pocket, upset, angry as you will see in many comments on their Google Business Profiles and Trustpilot
Shame on the people behind this scam, shame on the telesales people that work for them in their callcentre who think they have a real job working for a real company! NOT
Don't bother answering to this review as I have seen enough of your we care responses when you clearly do not care about customer services, You only care about money for NOTHING (SCAM)
You had the opportunity to refund me for no work done and you choose not to! So you will be reported as I said, I don't care how long it takes me, I will show you out and this review is just the beginning.

We’re sorry you feel this way, however we do need to correct a number of points raised.
During the initial phone call, it was explained that the issue could potentially be a collapsed drain rather than a standard blockage. An engineer was dispatched to carry out a diagnosis, which is exactly what the initial payment covers.
Upon attending, our engineer assessed the situation and confirmed that the issue was indeed a collapsed drain. This is not something that can be resolved with standard drain unblocking tools or “specialist equipment” such as jetting — it requires repair or replacement work rather than clearance.
As a result, no further work could be carried out at that time. Importantly, the engineer did not take any additional payment from you on site due to being unable to complete the works.
The service provided was the diagnosis of the issue, which confirmed the root cause. Unfortunately, a collapsed drain is a structural problem, not a blockage, and therefore falls outside the scope of a standard drainage call-out.
We understand this is frustrating, however the attendance and diagnosis were completed as agreed.

Have we been scammed??
When our water tank broke and we had a flood, we Googled “emergency plumber” and found All Home Repairs who arranged for Antony Abbott - AA Plumbing & Heating Ltd to come out. They charged us £180 as it was “out of hours” (it was Tuesday 21 April 2026 at 16:57). When “Tony” arrived, he drained our tank, capped it off, said tank was broken and we needed a new one. Said he’d price up and call “tomorrow” with a price. He did that and we were happy with price so he asked for half cost (£800) up front with another call out fee of £180. We paid by bank transfer and he emailed us an invoice. He said he’d come today (Friday 24 April 2026 at 8am) to install new tank. He never came!! We’ve tried all day to call on the number he gave (and on which he’d texted my husband from), but we either got answer phone or message to say call couldn’t connect. We emailed the address on his invoice - email bounced straight back. We phoned All Home Repairs 24/7 who assured us they’d used him “several times” and he was “reliable”. However, they couldn’t contact him on his mobile either. On the phone All Home said they a reputable company “on Trustpilot”. However, we wonder what checks All Home Repairs 24/7 conduct before sub-contracting the work out. We can only conclude that we have been victims of a scam, and consequently we have reported the matter to Action Fraud and our bank. We will see what happens.

Had a burst radiator and it needed replacing asap. The person on the phone (wish I could remember their name) was super helpful, polite and patient as I had a bad phone line and had to keep asking them to repeat themselves. I had a plumber sent out to me very promptly (I remember his name, it was Victor) the plumber was courteous, friendly and did a wonderful job and all in all it cost about a third of the price that another company quoted me.
Couldn't be happier, going on my experience I highly recommend these guys.
