I purchased what was represented & contracted as a “10×16 vinyl window gazebo” from Amish Country Gazebos on 06/17/25 & paid in full upfront. After installation at my home on 08/18/25, the actual usable interior space of the structure installed was only about 8.5 ft×14.5 ft. Approximately 23% smaller than the size represented. At no point before purchase were interior dimensions disclosed in the contract, drawings, quotes, their website, or any of the materials provided to me. After asking for a resolution, the company directed me to “pg. 11” of its virtual catalogue on one of the pages of its website, but that pg. contains only exterior roof-span & post-spacing diagrams & does not state the interior dimensions of 8.5' x 14.5' anywhere. The catalogue was not part of the contract, & nothing I received disclosed the substantial smaller interior size of the unit installed.

When I raised the discrepancy, I received several inconsistent explanations (including that unit was “semi-custom” which it was not, it was a kit, or that the size had been mentioned verbally, or that I had "accepted" a smaller size when I accepted what was represented as a 10'x16'), none of which were reflected in any written documentation. Rather than offering a reasonable correction, they required I pay them for the difference in size to a larger unit, and I pay them for removal & reinstallation (nearly $6,000), and electrical tear-down, including lights, the fan they provided ($5,000), costs that arose solely from the substantial size difference that was never disclosed before purchase. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the matter, including2 written letters & extensive photo and video docs, but the only options provided shifted the entire financial burden to me.

Consumers should be aware that interior dimensions are not listed in the contract, the drawings, or in the catalogue and that there may be a substantial difference between size advertised and interior space delivered.

The quality of this Company and its customer service is outstanding!!! They go out-of-their way to accommodate you and assure you get the product you want. I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall, we were very pleased with the quality and the design of the gazebo. Designing and ordering it went very smoothly, and they were very helpful. Delivery was a breeze.

Where there was a gap: the general installation instructions provided (for a pre-fabricated, octagonal 14' gazebo as we ordered) were NOT clear, and were different than the instructions we got when we called in. (The manual says "push the roof panels in from the outside"; whereas (for eight heavy roof panels) the Amish Country Gazebos staff said to install them from the INSIDE of the gazebo. Your manual needs work. BUT - we LOVE the finished product! All our neighbors are impressed!

Let me start by saying this would be 5-star based on the quality of the gazebo-in-a-box we ordered except for a few hitches we encountered. The kit was delivered on time but we were missing all of the 2" screws (and possibly other parts related to the screen package that were mentioned in the instructions but were not on the parts list). I made one call/email to the company when we first began and that call/email was never returned. That was disappointing. I did not follow up after that.

My biggest issue is with the instructions. They are not at all geared towards people who do not have experience with building. The list of tools needed is too simplified; you need a specific utility knife for cutting shingles, you need a hammer drill if you are drilling into concrete, etc. We had NO clue how to shingle an octagonal roof and the instructions were not much help at all. There should be a video on the website about this and more extensive instructions with the kit. We spent a long time doing Internet research and I finally spoke to a friend whose father was a roofer who explained that we needed to do each panel like it's own roof. Still not sure if we did the very top correctly but we put tar paper down and a metal drip edge first to make sure our investment wouldn't leak - not in the instructions.

It took my husband and I around 3 months to complete the project as we figured out what tools were really needed and do Internet research to fill in the gaps in the instructions. It should be stressed how important it is that you start with a level surface and making sure things are square right from the beginning - that would have saved us additional time as we started building on an existing concrete slab that wasn't level and things went downhill from there.

Now that the gazebo is completed (aside from the fact that we'll have to adjust the door to fit better), we've had many opportunities to enjoy it and we don't regret buying it. The kit components were very precise and good quality. However, for a project like this in the future, unless you are or know a skilled carpenter, spend the extra money and have the Amish build it for you! We do love it and are proud of our accomplishment but I beg you to please provide how-to videos on your website and beef up the instructions for amateurs.

Our 16' gazebo is beautiful. The quality of the materials and woodworking is excellent. All sections fit together like a tight glove. However, this is not a kit the average person is capable of building. The instructions are useful, but assume a certain expertise level in general construction techniques. Furthermore, any kit larger than ~10' will require multiple workers to safely hoist the roof sections due to their size and weight.

Because our gazebo houses a hot tub/spa, a 17' octagonal concrete pad was poured (6" border). The level surface and 2 x 6 deck kept the posts in perfect alignment. But the screen kit needed to be trimmed to fit and the windows in the door/side lights are not easily removable. Finally, the roofing nails noticeably protrude through the ceiling boards.

Despite these minor complaints, the final product was constructed in 2 days and completely meets our expectations. Amish Country Gazebos was a pleasure to work with, including the initial contact/discussion, specification/option, and final shipping/delivery phases. Out-of-state transportation was on-time and I was able to coordinate with local delivery of the spa, which had to be placed before setting all the posts.

We love our 14' Vinyl Gazebo with composite flooring from Amish Country Gazebos. The ordering was easy. The sales respresentative was very friendly and helpful! She even went out to take a measurement for me that I wanted. The support line was very helpful when one of the facia boards broke during installation. They sent a new one our right away. We also ordered two heaters and a ceiling fan. The heaters were smaller than we expected and do not put out much heat. The fan is small and does not move the air much at all unless you are standing right under it. The fan does look pretty though. I would consider buying those elsewhere if I were ordering again to make sure I got what I wanted. Other than that everything is perfect and it looks beautiful in our yard!!! We were a little reticent about spending such a large amount of money on a product we had actually never seen. We took a leap of faith and we are so glad we did. Our gazebo turned out to be so beautiful. It really is the talk of our neighborhood.
Some of the instructions could have been a little clearer or written in a little different order to prevent confusion, but we managed and it is wonderful.
We had had screen houses in the past but they succumbed to bad weather and high winds. This gazebo will probably be here long after we have passed.

The gazebo was well constructed and things fit together as they were supposed to. Instructions, for the most part, were clear and concise.
One negative was the roof. The roof was made of 1/2 inch plywood but the shingle nails we were given with the kit were 3/4 inches. As we were putting on shingles we discovered that EVERY ONE of them popped through the roofing. The finished product looking up from inside the gazebo frankly looks awful. I wish we had caught it earlier; we might have been able to get 1/2 inch nails.

I purchased a very large Pergola. Sales, Service and Product were outstanding with Amish Country Gazebos. I highly recommend this very fine Company.

We are very please with our Amish country pavilion. We were able to custom order it in a size perfect for our space; the fine architecture, including the interior wood slats, are top notch; and the very solid construction is built to last a lifetime. I would highly recommend Amish country gazebos to anyone looking to add a permanent outdoor structure to their property.

The structure is beautiful! I am disappointed in the construction of the posts. They are laminated cedar posts that failed with in two weeks of installation. The glue did not hold at the laminated seams.
I was reimbursed for the cost of the new solid cedar posts and their contractor installed them. My painter stained them.
The main frustration was that while we figured out what to do and scheduling the installation it held up the completion of my job.
If you purchase a structure be sure the posts are solid wood.

I felt it necessary to take the time out of my busy schedule to praise this company and their excellent ability to satisfy their most valued customers. I purchased a gazebo in a box. I had a few issues with the construction of the product, however the company went above and beyond to make sure it was right including offering to come rectify my issue themselves at no extra cost. I WAS AMAZED. I've had the gazebo up for several months now and it looks amazing. They stand by their product 1000% and offered me excellent pricing, but totally exceeded my expectations of customer satisfaction. Unlike other companies who sella product and that's the end of the transaction, Amish country gazebo are there for you. We ordered a 12x12 gazebo with the screen option. Packaging was excellent. It took me the better part of a day to take it apart and stage it. All the pieces seemed to be in good shape. The one thing I noticed immediately was that there was no way my wife and I would be able to do this alone. We did get help and four people were able to install it in less than one day. The only problem we encountered was the hardware for mounting the screen door was missing. The factory shipped it and we installed it. The only thing missing then were the instructions for installing it, but we managed. Great looking product.
