You are simply the best!

Wow, so impressed. I tell everyone who will listen that if you want a gazebo or purgola look up Amish Country Gazebos.

We will most likely be using a Amish Country gazebos/purgola on all future projects based on the 16 ft gazebo we just purchased and constructed.

Nice looking but not so easy to build

The instructions could have been much clearer with enlarged pictures for some details. We didn't get a parts list. It would be easy to build for a carpenter to build but not for us. Made it sound like could be built in a day or so but was much longer for us (my husband and my adult son and myself).I was also sent the wrong top for my cupola they sent me the one for a weather vane and I never even discussed a weather vane when I made my order by phone. Once completed it looks nice but has a few minor problems due to mistakes while trying to make things fit right. The delivery man was super nice .

Great- except for roof sheathing

The kit arrived and everything went like clockwork until the roof sheathing. The board roof was packaged well for protection and compact shopping but that made it time consuming to sort the boards for installation. Not awful, but after the ease and precision of the rest of the components it was frustrating. The real problem was that the boards were planed down to a bit under 3/4"and the roofing nails came through in spots. We ended up adding a layer of 7/16" osb on top to prevent nails showing in the finished ceiling. This added considerably to the install time and cost. Overall fit and finish was excellent, this issue could be avoided with a thicker ceiling/sheathing material.

Reply from Amish Country Gazebos

Jon,

I'm sorry for creating frustration and extra expenses for you regarding the thickness of the sub roofing.

We have provided 100's of pavilions and gazebos with this same tongue & groove thickness. Where we have experienced inconsistencies is in the lengths of our roofing nails which i believe was the source of the problem you experienced. We have addressed this problem with our roofing nail vendor and are certain we can consistently provide nails at the correct length.

Please contact me to discuss potential refunds related to your extra expenses.

Thank you again for correcting this problem in a very professional manner.

Product is good

Need better support for your shipping people. Two times now I have been shipped your product with items missing. Even though it was just screws, it held up the finish that day and prolonged my final payment. Maybe need to work on your people who make sure the necessary materials are shipped. Over all your product is excellent and my customers are happy!

Purchased a kit

The quality of the product and the friendliness of the delivery driver was great. The "friction" received was trying to coordinate shingle colors and the added expense by doing so. Also the base of the gazebo was eliminated as it was being placed on a concrete pad however when not ordering the base the pre-built gazebo now becomes a kit that needs to be erected in the field. Not only did I pay more for supplying my own shingles, I had to erect it in the field. Wish this was better communicated to me prior to placing my order.

The Gazebo I ordered was exceptionally well built. It arrived well packaged with such perfection that there was no damage whatsoever. Easy for me to assemble but I have a construction background which definitely helps..

need clearer instructions

Guess title says it all. I have some experience with assembly, wall building, construction, plumbing, etc. No professional by all means. You do need to take a some what experienced non pro and have them try to assemble exactly by instructions. Many instructions are not well described or are incomplete. An example is the roof. Shingling instructions are incomplete The joists had an awful time fitting into the slots. It speeks of 2 inch tan screws that were not in the kit nor listed as a part.

I will say, with a little of the roofleft to go, I really do like it. It looks great. Just a lot more than 6 hours for 2 people.

Such a Wonderful Gazebo!

I recently had a 12' vinyl Gazebo from Amish Country Gazebos installed in my yard. The gazebo is so well made and the crew amazing! They were here for four hours and completely finished my gazebo in that time. Everything fit together perfectly. The quality is first rate. I was amazed to see the bench seats are made of three pieces of yellow pine, thickly encased on all sides in vinyl, this just illustrates the attention paid to every part of the gazebo. The gazebo overlooks a creek and is sure to be a favorite spot for me and my guests at our Vacation Rental. I prepped the site myself, and I'm a 56 year old woman with some disabilities so it really isn't that hard! I have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience and the end product. It is so beautiful! In a few hours a portion of the yard was transformed into a magical place!
