They talked us into a 1 year contract…

They talked us into a 1 year contract when we thought we were under a 3 month contract, sales people are very pushy to the point of hounding you! They treat your yard & home haphazardly & we still have pests, we cannot wait until the contract is over! Buyer beware!

Not having good service

Lack of reasonable notice

My husband was very upset that he hung around the house all day and the Aptive rep did not get there until 6:30pm. The rep told him he works from 8am to 8pm so his visits could happen anytime during that time frame. The rep also did not explain what he did during his visit or provide any pictures, which we normally received in the past. I don’t think this will work out for us going forward.

Our service professionals typically work from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in order to accommodate busy schedules, but we want to make sure you’re kept in the loop and not left wondering when we’ll arrive.

It’s also worth noting that we aim to provide a clear record of what’s been done during each visit — normally, that includes photos or a brief report. We’re sorry that didn’t happen this time, and we’re addressing this directly with our team to make sure we’re delivering that standard for every customer.

Very Educated on what they do for their Occupation! Thank you

When they come out they are very courteous, personable and professional. They always ask what we would like done or what we would not like done to fit our needs. We have not yet had any issues and have been utilizing them for a year.

I no longer have this service as I was…

I no longer have this service as I was on a quarterly plan and they kept booking me for service every two months. I would call they would assure me they made the change and would do the same thing. I did this for two years until I finally cancelled my service with them.

Aptive Northeast Ohio team 👍🏻

Our team of service professionals are always on time, communicative, and tailor service to our needs. For one example, we had a sparrow nest that popped up in one of our eaves, and they were careful not to spray while the babies were there.

Aptive documents their work and give us pictures.

We are not home many of the times when Aptive comes to do our service. They perform the service and leave us a summary of the work as well as pictures of the areas that they treated. That makes us comfortable that the work was done and done correctly.

Unpleasant and Overly Aggressive Sales Tactics

The door-to-door salesperson who showed up at my home was overly pushy and took far too long to come to terms with the fact that I was not interested in signing a contract. My interaction with him (the most uncomfortable one I've had with a door-to-door salesperson) makes me completely uninterested in considering Aptive in the future. Some of his comments and questions were irrelevant, unnecessary, and as was the case with a previous reviewer on Google (Danielle Corrin), disrespectful towards women. When I made it clear that I don't make decisions like signing pest control contracts without discussing with my wife first, his response to attempt to get me to sign something immediately was "if there's one thing I know about the ladies, it's that they don't like bugs and they like a good deal", and "you have a mortgage and car payments, this is just pest control, man". At one point, he even asked me to go get my credit card, and no salesperson has ever said that to me before. Nor has any salesperson before this one ever asked me where I'm from. I understand that there's always going to be an element of pushiness with this sales approach and it can often yield success, but my honest feedback to Aptive would be to examine the potential detrimental impact going about this without sufficient tact can have on their business.
