Great finished product, a 6*4 garden office with separate storage space. Fully wired up and painted and very happy with the result.

Ark Design are incredible to work with and we could not be happier with our bespoke garden office build. Absolutely in love with our new space. At the beginning I sent them some pictures of things I liked and the style we wanted, never thinking I would be able to get something so on point but I really have. It’s beautiful. The attention to detail, high spec materials and bespoke design features such as the hidden lock and door on our storage area have all been exceptional. Would highly recommend to all.

When you work from home every day, you owe it to yourself to find an inspiring space to work from. When lockdown 1 happened, it became obvious very quickly that a busy house with 2 teenagers, a toddler and a dog was not going to be that space. I immediately began researching local firms to help me escape into the garden. Ark stood out, stylish, contemporary and bespoke...and just up the road in Tunbridge Wells. From the initial consultation it was clear that Piers understood exactly what I was looking for. The design process was collaborative and innovative, the building process was clearly defined and the pricing was detailed and transparent. We opted for a 5m x 4m studio with a 2.5m composite deck. The front of the building would feature 3m aluminum bifold doors and a full height window alongside. Thermowood cladding would cover the exterior and inside the building would be fully insulated, plastered, heated and powered by 8 double sockets. A TV wall mount was installed with concealed power, HDMI socket and CAT 7 for direct access into the Wifi disc. It took just 3 weeks to complete the build, every component made to measure and built by hand, it was clear that Piers and George approach every project as if it was their own. The workmanship and attention to detail was incredible, the site was immaculate and nothing was too much trouble. We've now got a space that not only inspires me during working hours, but acts a sanctuary for the whole family. I advise anyone that is considering their own project to do whatever it takes to get it done...it will change your life completely.

We were really pleased with our choice of Piers and Tim and the garden room built for us is a fantastic addition, very well constructed and built to our needs. From the very start and throughout, we had very good, timely communication.
As it is a bespoke build, you are able to tweak it and the team were really responsive to any questions and able to provide helpful, practical solutions.
Two things which also really filled us with confidence: *although there is a huge demand for their services (we had to wait six months), they haven't grown at the risk of diluting the quality, so the person that comes out for the initial visit, you will see on site doing the work;
*the quality of their sub-contractors is brilliant, from the team that fit the groundscrews, through to the plasterers and electricians - all fantastic at their craft!!
Overall, highly recommend them.

We were waiting a few months for the team at Ark Design to start work on our garden office/gym, due to their popularity. However they were well worth the wait and even started a couple of days earlier than we had anticipated, which is testament to their amazing organisation and time-keeping.
Tim stayed in contact in the months leading up to the build and his communication was brilliant throughout.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We are so pleased that we booked a bespoke design with them rather than seeking out a general building company for the work. They were helpful, friendly and a pleasure to have around. And the final building is incredible. We absolutely love our new space!

We looked at a number of companies before choosing Ark to build our new garden shed-office combo. We wanted it built on site as everything needed to come through the house [we have no access to the back otherwise]. We knew if we got it wrong it would be a nightmare with doors open and mud and dust everywhere.

Piers and Tim were calm, friendly, and responded quickly right from first contact. We had to wait a few months before they were free but they made us feel confident about timings and turned up when they said they would (!)

Having Piers and his team on site during a rainy January they were friendly and made a lot of effort with the site management as well as the build itself. The final building is everything we hoped.

Small adjustments as we went along were also added effortlessly. We're delighted with the outcome and I definitely recommend the Ark team.

Ark have designed and built a brilliant garden gym for me. The quality is superb, the customer service was first rate, and the team were polite, friendly and hard working.

Tim worked with me to design what I wanted and was able to accomodate my changing requirements up to the week before the build started. Our building was built from scratch and the quality has been praised by other specialist installers, who were amazed how exact they have been.

I created a complex AV solution for the gym, which created difficulties during the build. Ark were extremely responsive and found ways to work around it. They were very reasonable on extra costs incurred and discussed everything with me.

I love my garden gym and will recommend Ark to anyone who will listen. They have created a superb building which will last me for decades and I couldn't be happier.

It's been 2 years since our garden cabin was finished and it's been even more invaluable over the last 12 months than we ever imagined! We simply could not live without it. But not only do we have a beautiful garden space we have also received incredible support from the team at Ark. As soon as I met Tim and Piers, I knew we'd made the right decision choosing Ark. Not only are they incredibly professional but they are really personable and a pleasure to have on site. They care deeply about the end result and will bend over backwards to make sure clients are happy. If you are planning a garden studio, I'd really recommend them as a good, safe pair of hands for this kind of project.

Tim was great during the whole process of our garden office design and build. He used trusted colleagues to build our garden office who we also had a great rapport with. They were really flexible and open to an any feedback to get the build just right. We are absolutely delighted with the finished product, we use it pretty much every day. We know how luck we are have it during such strange times. We’ve also highly recommended Ark Design to everyone who as asked us!

Update on our earlier review - 7 months on and we're just as thrilled as ever with our garden office. What's been amazing too is the after sales care we've received. A small problem with the bi-fold door a couple of weeks ago and Piers and Tim responded immediately and fixed it within days. Couldn't ask for better service. Quality product, quality build, quality team.

I think it is significantly relevant to mention that these guys had to work within lockdown rules, which adds on in tes of deliverying according to expectations while ensuring safety of their clientele.
In my case that was quite a strict requirement which they were happy to accept,observe and further discuss if I felt the need to address more on the topic.
If you are looking at having an office/studio built, I would just suggest not wasting time searching any longer.
If you are all about quality and efficiency, then look no further and approach Tim and Piers.

We are delighted with our Ark Design/Build Garden Room which was completed just before the lockdown (and they pulled out all the stops to get it finished in very testing times).

I didn't check here before engaging Tim & Piers for a garden office. I'm not surprised at all that there are 100% 5* reviews. This is my experience too. We had quotes from other providers, but the sense of genuineness and commitment immediately stood them apart. Others felt like we were being sold to and despite their "bespoke" claims, from a catalogue. Not so with Ark, who gave advice and guidance for the best outcome. No surprises, no hidden costs, sympathetic and reactive to changes and a fantastic garden space at the end of the project. I do not hesitate to recommend Ark Design Build. Really pleased to have found Piers and Tim from Ark Design and Build. They both helped me to transform an unconventional idea that’s been in the making for over three years into a reality. They took my brief (wacky according to my family and friends) to transform a ugly asbestos garage into multifunctional garden room/office and yet maintain its use as an overnight garage for my wife’s car. They helped me to adapt my ideas to create a new building that now compliments our home and garden, which I am sure will give us years of pleasure and at the same time provide all multifunctional features and capabilities, we required from the design. Overall I would he more than happy to recommend Piers and Tim as they made the whole experience of working with them both, was a real pleasure.

The design and quality of build was faultless. Ryan was our project manager. He and his team were efficient and extremely easy to have around.
