It's a scam. They took my money and kept putting off my results for over a week. They won't refund my money despite being asked several times. I reported them to scam watch. Don't hand over your money. It's a scam. If you don't provide the service you advertise and you keep the money it's called a scam. I only post It's a scam when I've been ripped off. I regularly get police checks and decided to use your company and they are usually dispensed in less than 36hrs but it's been excuse after excuse and now I have to wait 7 days for my money. Stop blaming customers for a scam youre running. Either provide the Check or refund MY money now. Fairly simple.

Regarding result release times, as stated throughout the website and the application form, 70% of nationally coordinated criminal history checks are returned within 24 hours. Approximately 30% of checks will automatically get referred to one or more police agencies (due to a potential match) and can take 15 days or longer. Australian National Character Check (or any other provider) has no control over the process once an application has been forwarded to police agencies. Our system automatically dispatches results on the same day they are received.
We can also see that after you requested a refund, you were clearly informed that the refund request would be processed within 7 working days.
We are of the opinion that your review is not factually correct, and we ask that you amend or remove this review accordingly.

The customer service people are very helpful and accessible. I did receive a wrong reply regarding one of my documents, however, the team were very apologetic and went out of their way to assist me to provide the exact information required. They were very accessible and extremely helpful. My report was received very quickly as well.

Horrible, only after I asked for a refund did I recieve my police check after waiting ages for it. I paid for express and didn’t receive it. The forms they were asking for were unnecessary, and they were so picky with what I can use as a student getting it for placement. You can’t use a student card, you have to have a written form with your full name and them offering placement (which you cannot get a letter for placement UNLESS you have a police report, agh). After many days of emailing back and forth (they have NO PHONE NUMBER, and are slow with emails when its asking for refunds) I sent them an email this morning saying I want a refund and attached the 3 (yes three) receipts to show I paid. Within a few hours I received the police check. Trying to get away with it. I went with another company and got it back within 10mins. They are just trying to save their butt. I received an email from them saying that I have received my police check and that 2 of the payments are from going from from standard check to volunteer check (okay sure) but what about my express payment? I also asked for a refund earlier and they may have just rushed it so they could keep their money. Wouldn’t recommend if you need some ASAP, though mine was much longer than that.

A student card is not an acceptable form of evidence for a person to be eligible for a discounted volunteer check. Acceptable forms of evidence for a discounted volunteer check are clearly outlined on the application form. We understand that your application was progressed after you provided compliant evidence of your volunteer placement.
From the sounds of it, it seems your application had already been forwarded to police agencies for a result when you asked for a refund. The system automatically returned your result before your refund request was processed.
Please note that once an application has been forwarded to Australian police agencies, Australian National Character Check (or any other provider) does not have control over result timeframes. Our system automatically sends results on the same day they are received.
Regarding support options, instant live chat support is available for all applicants during working hours. A call-back option is also available.

I experienced some confusion with exactly the documentation needed but upon re-reading was able to complete the check - it would improve the process if the outline was also upfront rather than only as you moved through it.

It's been almost two weeks since I started trying to get my police check through this company, and they keep citing an error regarding my workplace that has already been corrected. I've provided all the information they've asked for, and they keep saying it's incorrect, trying to get me to pay the fee to get it faster. My rating is ZERO.

Terrible Service to get Regular Police Check
I submitted all my information to get a regular police check. You have to pay first before they will see if you documents are ok to submit. They reverted to say that the documents required cannot be submitted, could not tell me how to solve the issue. I asked for a refund and was told it will take 7 days to respond as per their rules, they responded after 7 days and refunded the fee but kept $20 of the $69 fee charged. I got another agency to do it, they identified the issue and it took less than 3 hours to get the police check done with just a regular application and issued my police check.

Regarding the consistency of legal names on identification documents, there are strict federal requirements our service must meet before a background check can be processed. These guidelines are in the interests of community safety.
Per the terms and conditions you agreed to prior to making payment, an administration fee is charged only if time was spent on an application and the refund is requested for reasons beyond Australian National Character Check's control. However, upon your request, we can see that you were issued a full refund.
We cannot speak on behalf of other providers; however, applicants using Australian National Character Check must have their applications deemed in line with federal government guidelines before they can be processed.
