Picking up the car in the airport was perfect, service level was high and information etc was super kind and fast.
When picking up the service was not quite as good and friendly, seemed we where mostly i9n thw way of coffee and smoking breaks :/ But all in all i would use again, car was nice and price was good.

Very disappointing rental experience — downgraded car and forced insurance
I recently rented a car from Autovia and had a very disappointing experience. Although I had reserved and paid for a Volkswagen T‑ROC, I was given a BYD ATTO 2, which is a clearly inferior category. No explanation or compensation was offered for the downgrade.
On top of that, I was forced to purchase full insurance at €56 per day because I did not present a physical credit card for the deposit. I did provide a valid digital credit card, but the staff refused to accept it, leaving me with no choice but to pay the extra cost.
The employee who attended us was unhelpful and unfriendly, making the whole process even more unpleasant.
I contacted Autovia’s customer service with a detailed complaint, but I never received any response. email: info
Overall, the experience resulted in unexpected costs, poor service, and a vehicle downgrade. I cannot recommend this company based on how we were treated.

we are sorry for the experience you describe and for not having received a response to your complaint.
We would like to clarify two points. Reservations refer to a vehicle category rather than to a specific make or model. Therefore, a Volkswagen T-ROC is not guaranteed as an exact model. However, if the BYD ATTO 2 provided belonged to a lower category than the one actually booked, this should be checked against your reservation.
Regarding the deposit, Autovia requires a physical credit card in the main renter’s name and suitable for the required pre-authorisation. Digital or virtual credit cards are not accepted as a rental guarantee.
When the standard guarantee requirements cannot be met, the branch may in some cases offer an alternative solution with full protection that allows the rental to proceed. This solution is optional, but if it is declined and no eligible physical credit card is available, the vehicle may not be released.
Since you also report a possible category downgrade and state that you have already submitted a detailed complaint without receiving a reply, please send the booking confirmation, rental agreement, documentation relating to the vehicle provided, the €56-per-day protection charge and the correspondence already sent to customercare@autovia.it, so the case can be reviewed in full.

Got a Cupra automatic. A very good car, very easy to handle and to connect with your mobile. 7 liters per 100 km. Very clean, very quick when you pick it up or bring it back. Good price.

We were supposed to pick up a 100% prepaid car from Europe car but as we arrived one hour later, they cancelled our car without compensation. And didn’t even help with a new booking. We went to the next desk autovia and in 15 min we got a car: new comfortable car, fast service, convenient way to return the car out of working hours.

Very rude people
I tried calling them multiple times, they don't pick up phone. When they do, they are rude and hang up.
One guy picked up and was very rude. This was the location at Bergamo Airport. He hang up in my face and said something like 'I am very busy' in a rude way.
Second time I called a few hours later a lady picked up. She was nice but also hang up in my face.
I cancelled all my bookings with this car company.

All good exept for missing the office…
All good exept for missing the office in terminal which could have been better signed as we only found the Sixt office when following signs for rental cars. After quite a walk we had to go back. But good service and clean car.

We had a much better car than the one we ordered. Fast service, helpful staff. The only thing is they are pushing very hard to buy insurance from the desk even if you have a third party insurance, but that wasn’t much of a problem.
