Attendants at desk very helpful, we collected the car within 10 mins. No issues for returning the car. I would definately recommend. Car was like new and clean.

Claim afterwards whiteout any explanation on the spot
Without any explanation on the spot, it later turned out that Autovia had "discovered" two damages that weren't there. This feels like some kind of new business model to rak in extra money. What a shame!

I have to be honest
I have to be honest, reading all of the reviews for the cheaper car rental companies, left me with a sense of dread as I planned our car rental for our holiday in Sicily. So when our flight was late, and we turned up to the little auto via kiosk, I was worried. Despite a barrage of questions and options for upgrading, which we waived, our car was perfect for us and we had no issues. We even got our deposit back early! The staff were great and very patient with our dreadfully poor Italian and our impatience. But please, when collecting (no matter how dark it is), check the car thoroughly and take pics of any damage. Be brave, save some money, and give them a try.

Awful company, terrible service, scammers
Affreux, Afschuwelijk, Orribile, Awful, Horrible, Schrecklich!!!!
In all my 45 years I have never experienced such poor customer service.
I arrived well within the booking window, but was refused the car simply because the booking had been made in my husband’s name, he was mid-flight on a delayed EasyJet journey at the time. I offered to show ID, proof of relationship, but the staff were entirely inflexible and unhelpful, told me there would not be a car when he arrived and offered no alternative.
To clarify:
• I was not late and did not miss the grace period.
• I did not behave aggressively or raise my voice. I was calm albeit surprised and frustrated by the lack of understanding or willingness to help.
Their claim that I was aggressive is simply untrue and feels like a convenient excuse to deflect from what was, frankly, a failure of basic customer service.
Their response below proves they are an unethical and defensive company that refuses to take responsibility for poor customer experience and instead tries to shift blame onto paying customers.
I would strongly advise anyone not to book with this company and instead choose a respectful and reputable firm.
Truly the most unhelpful customer service I’ve ever encountered.

Horrible. Even after i accepted a 240 euro price increase on pickup, they don't accept visa as deposit, and indicated that I will not see a refund on the booking they then cancelled as I don't have a Mastercard, and they would accept my wife's

Update:
Its weird to hear that they write that they don't want to take advantage of you, when the original booking price was a little more than €300 and the newly offered price at the desk for the same car was more than €600. The car WAS THERE.....We had other credit cards, we could pay with another, but they rejected that and only offered a car for twice the price.
Never book a car there again. They didn't accept my mastercard credit card, which I used when I booked the car (via a broker). They didn't offer any help or suggestion. They only wanted to rent the same car for an extra €300.
Obviously they wanted to take advantage of the situation, as it was close to closing time and we didnt have transport to our rental house. It costs us an extra €60 and the next day a lot of time to get another car (booked elsewhere ofcourse).
One always wonder why companies like this operate like they do.
